My new setup* (VTR with Protank 2, Stainless Steel Replacement tank for Kanger Protank 2, with the Aerotank base/Airflow Control Valve, and Stainless Steel Long Drip Tip #1 from Stormy's Vapor Cellar):

VTR with Protank 2, Stainless Steel Replacement Tank for Kanger Protank 2, with the Aerotank bas.jpg

And it's working perfectly! Now I can finally stop spending money (that is, after I get a backup PT2 and Aerotank base):)

*Special thanks to awsum140, NickSteel, Baditude, and all the wonderful ECF post-authors who helped make this possible.

My VTR appears to have died today. Has anyone gone through a warranty process with Innokin before? I was just curious if I should bother. Purchased the unit from iVape.net on Oct. 3, 2013. I'm wondering if it's still covered and how to get started on the process.

I use an AW 18650 (IMR, unprotected, 2000mAh) in it, and was vaping from a Protank 3 with Kanger 2.0 Ohm coils. After vaping a tank low, I cleaned the tank, filled it, put in a new coil, sealed it up and attached it to the VTR. VTR had been on during this time. Hit the top button, resistance displayed "1.7" (which was a bit lower than what I was expecting). That was the last time my VTR ever responded to anything.

Pressed and held the fire button, dragged for awhile, and realized I wasn't getting anything. Neither button responded. A triple-tap of the fire button didn't turn it on. Battery had been fully charged that morning, and wasn't even close to drained at the time. Removing the battery, waiting, and reinserting does nothing; there's no red>yellow>green fire light and screen displaying "88". Unit's been dead like that ever since.

^^^Have you tried a diff. battery? I know you said it was fully charged, but you never know....that's where I would start TBH....I have had my VTR not respond after changing a battery, but reinserting the battery again usually clears this condition...

Hmmm....I would try another battery....

I will definitely try a different battery, although I haven't yet. I don't have a charged one at hand right now, nor do I have a multimeter to check this one. I just wouldn't expect an AW that I wasn't chain-vaping off of to suddenly fail maybe 7 hours after an overnight charging session. I'll certainly be happy if it's the battery and not the PV though!

So this thing Sub-Ohms.. Anyone been subohming with it? Might be worth buying a box mod thats not a DNA Lol, Been wanting to subohm on a regulated device for a while. Any takers?

I'm very new to PV's in general and also lousy at math, so I'm probably not the best person to respond to your post, however it did get me to look up more on "this thing" you refer to called "sub-ohming", so thank you for that. You've been posting a lot since December (712 to date - wow!), so you're likely more knowledgeable on the subject anyway, but from the little I've read, I don't think I'd want to try it, even if the VTR is capable of sub-ohming. Have you read this?

Having a problem with the 30s coil flooding. Had been using it for a couple of weeks with no problem. Wanted to try new juice so put in a new coil and filled up. Let it sit overnight. Floods every time I hit it no matter what level the juice is at...high or low. Tried a different coil, same thing happens. Juice is same ratio as what I've been using previously, 50/50. Any ideas?

Wasting a lot of juice is making me furious. This is the kind of thing that kept me away from tanks. Might as well be using a carto.

Just a thought, but check to see if the air flow is right. If it's blocked you could be putting too much "pull" on the liquid which will lead to flooding like that. More air, in through the bottom, will reduce the amount of liquid pulled into the coil chamber.

(to be read at double speed)

Excellent! It's always a pleasure to trade with merchants - and manufacturers - who are quick to recognize the importance of standing behind the products they sell. Bravo, MVS!:toast:

Hey Joe, check out FastTech for some really long stainless drip tips, and at a lower price.

Great idea! I have been waiting for the Chinese New Year holiday to end. They have one in particular that two reviewers even state it works well on a Protank II in the VTR:

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1547702

Plus I'm going to try a box of their Kanger PT 2.5 ohm coils, too. They're advertised as authentic, but I've heard rumours that they're not. We shall see.

Make sure the battery terminals inside the VTR are really clean. You can use a pencil eraser to clean them, then blow it out with canned air. Mine did the same thing just after I got it and I cleaned the top inside contact and haven't had a problem since, and I got mine from the same source with a spinning mount to boot.
