I would guess that fasttech's price is the lowest. Hard to beat $23 and free shipping. That's for JUST the mod itself, complete with matching drip tip and drip shield. Just expect it to take about 9-12 days for it to get to you from the time you place your order.

That factor alone compels me to order more things in one shot that I really should....

Yep,

It does get very addictive,

But not in an expensive way.:)

It's kinda funny. I like the way the K100 looks with a carto or dripping atty so much (with the drip shield) that it never occurs to me to try anything else. I've put a few half-a$$ed RDAs on there but I'm so crap at making a good wick/coil that I'm always disappointed. I'm getting better though....slowly. I need to remember to get my camera and macro lens out the next time I do a build and post pictures so you guys and gals can tell me what I'm doin' wrong.....

I use my K100 with LR Boges and it's amazing how strong it is stock, no sanding of contacts... yet. I'm still learning RBA's as well. I use my Vamo & SVD at 10 watts so I'll be shooting for RBA wicks around 1.3-1.5. Once I get the wick building down I'm gonna order two more K100's and two more RBA's and my Provari, Vamo & SVD will be backups :D.

For me, one thing I've noticed from a nic level point of view is if you go up a nic level then a 2.0ohm atty tastes pretty good on a stock mech. I normally vape 6mg but using 12mg on my K100 is not too harsh like it is on a regulated device. If I use 12mg on a regulated device I have to drop the power down, then I lose some flavor. The flip side of that, tho, means 6mg on the mech seems weak. Just a little FYI in case you have to go up on your nic level for any reason.

Hey,

Mine also arrived today, along with some safer chemistry 18650`s. I threw a boge s/r cart on it,loaded it up with watermelon, and wow.

It gives such a delightful vape. I can see me retiring the old vamo, and lava tube, to the vaping drawer.

Thought I'd share my way of sanding down the contacts.

I used a Dremel, with a grinding bit. No need to take anything apart, besides pulling out the spring.
The bit and chuck are long enough to reach the top contact without removing the pressure fit top.
All I had to do was tap the contacts with the grinding bit to remove the plating.

Just got mine a few days ago. I'm liking it with an 18350 batt and an AGI in dripper mode. Its the first coil I've built that actually is working. I just can't figure out how to build a SS wick and coil without getting nasty dry hits. Enjoying this for now though.

I just got mine about 2weeks ago and love it I stopped using VV/VW and strictly use my k101 (clone) with a gs vcore RBA which I drilled airholes and get great vapor production. I use with 18350 batts but have ordered some 18650's from good prophets (efest) to try out they should arrive today:) so I will let you know how well they work. Overall a great device I will also say I like the gs matrix-3 which is a very close clone of the k100. I ordered the gs from china directly but have yet to see any info on that unit if anyone knows about it or any vids out there please share.

I like your photography! I wish I had the cajones to sand mine like you did. I LOVE that look. Maybe I'll buy a second one
so if I REALLY balls it up I won't feel too bad, heh.

Wait for the plating to rub off on the lock ring and button. Then you won't feel bad sanding the rest of it down.
Don't worry it won't take that long.

Actually, it might. I don't get outta the house much. My mods stay parked on my desk right here in front of me. On the rare occasion that I'm walking about, it's a Twist+Evod.

It's actually really hard to mess up if you sand it by hand... it takes a LOT of sanding to sand off the chrome / anodizing. I suggest starting off with pretty course grain, around 200-300 ish, then work your way up till you get a finish you like. 600 is good for a "brushed" look, 800-1000 is for more of a matte finish, 1500+ for a glossy finish.

Cool, thanks for the tips! Next time I have the opportunity to pick up some sandpaper I know what to get.
