lorderos - I had to adjust it a bit back and forth so it wasn't hitting too hard and wiping out the good I had made with the 5 wraps, but now I think it's in a good spot, so I am just gonna leave it be. LOL

I HAVE to do something with my switch though. It keeps getting hung up, and I have to release and re-press it ...
I have some magnets coming, but I think it's that dang screw.

I was able to locate a V2 and work out a deal with another ECFer and it arrived today:

KatanaV2a.jpg

I put on the long tube, slapped an 18650 in, filled it, primed the wick, and haven't put it down for an hour. Hitting like a champ. It's really a beautiful pv and I'm now a very happy vaper :vapor:

Yes, it's definitely the screw. I fixed mine with heat shrink fitted to the top 5mm of thread. Smooth as butter now :)

I'm avoiding the kick. I was bad enough with VV.. always fidgeting.

I'm like you loft in that I'm CONSTANTLY tinkering and fidgeting with my PVs (different pv every day), but I must say that the Kick is really easy to set and forget, and because the voltage will scale as your coil oxidizes so as to maintain a constant wattage, your vape will remain fairly consistent until you change out the coil.

How does it compare to your Zenesis?

Lately, 50% of the satisfaction I find from vaping comes from tinkering with all of my rebuildables, and I've taken my tinkering up a few notches and have started doing some CAD work designing my own mods and attys ;)
I'm working on a Katana-inspired genesis atomizer right now, which I'll post pics of when I have a prototype made.

Sweet :)

I did the same thing a while back, but never built it. Something I was working on with Imeo. It was a cross between the ODY and the iAtty that required no NR wire and the wire was secured by tightening the 510 connector. Juice control was done by turning the body of the mod.

I was calling it iAtty2, lol. I thought it was awesome, but Imeo preferred his method to mine for the coil attachment with NR wire.

I had to learn CAD drawing just to show him my ideas because I can't draw well enough to show him what I was thinking of, lol.

What is going on with attachments? I can't get them to work tonight...

How does it compare to your Zenesis?

Bear in mind I just got it so I haven't had much time to compare. The are both beautiful and I'd be hard pressed to say one was more gorgeous. The machining on the Zenesis is better - there are a few rough spots on the Katana like burrs, un-softened edges, and slightly rough threads. The Katana has the tank shield which, frankly, is the primary reason I wanted one. I can't toss my Zenesis in my courier bag for fear of losing the cap or cracking the tank so it is really a stay-at-home unit, where I vape the hell out of it. The Katana is going the one that I take out far more often. I'll know more in a week or two when I've really had a good chance to vape them head to head.

Can I answer this one?
it doesn't.... :)
I'm fully aware of all of the zenesis hype that's been blowing up over the past couple months, so I anticipated a hasty answer from one of the "zenfidels", but what is it about the zen that makes it a better pv over the Katana? I get and appreciate Zen's aesthetic choices over POC's, but I really mean in terms of performance, user friendliness, and core design differences.

I agree, the machining really is the very highest quality on the Zenesis. I like the vape from the Katana better, but the Zen is wonderfully well made.

Normally I do as well, but I have very little patience as of late and would hate to throw a mod or two out of frustration lol

Somewhere is a post that I made comparing the two side by side.
