If these are the ones from vapcigar, I've been quoted $16/unit with the extras included for small orders(like, I asked for exactly one of each of their three styles) - no custom boxes of course. If you're of the patient and cheap sort, it could be worth waiting for the slow boat from China. I doubt the black box is worth the 200%+ markup from a seller that doesn't even have reliably swift shipping.

Oh, let me know how that one turns out. Start a new thread in BRA when you get it.. I expect to read it in a month or two.;)

If only that statement were true. In general, well there is no general. Ehpro and Hcigar manufactured clones are often as good as the original. The "real" Russian is actually a clone of the Kayfun only improved. Then when you talk about clones of mechanical mods there are many that cannot be differentiated from the original.
.

The real Russian is not actually a clone, it is made from a person who helped design the Kayfun and parted ways to set up their own company. And the two basically use each others ideas. The Russian 91% had the adjustable air control, the K.lite did not, then the copied the idea from the 91% and came out with the plus. So the Russian is just the slightly less expensive version of the Kayfun.

They said shipping would be an additional $29 for three kayfun clones, so $77 total - said they can't put them in the same box as my Valkyrie mods for some reason. I might order them anyways, but I already have two coming from J-Stream

Well, I've got it built.. ~1.6ohm microcoil with eko/cotton.. I like it, it's decent. My only issue is the airflow.. I do not like it at the bottom, and I don't like how tight the draw is. I've completely removed the little screw for the air flow, and it's still a bit tight for my taste. Might have to get the drill out and see what needs to be done there.

As far as quality, it seems pretty good. The only thing that felt cheap to me was the metal tank portion.. for some reason that feels a lot lighter than it should, I'm wondering if it's aluminum and not SS...?

Anyway, it works, it seems like a decent value. I don't have any other clones to compare it too, but I guess I'd put it just a notch under the R91, quality wise. It's a tough call, $90 for a R91 and this for $50.

I should have mine tomorrow unless the postal service drops the ball again. I've got a Fogger V2 and a slowtech Taifun GT to compare it with. I hope it's an easier build than the Fogger. The Taifun GT clone is a snap compared to that, but they are both truly awesome, vape-wise. Now I just need another side-firing mech to pair it with..... ;)

You might want to look at the 69 Mod clone. It's a hard hitting side-button mod with a lot of adaptability.

Got mine yesterday, I'd call it a brushed finish, not matt like the 91 but not polished either. Fit is nice, everything lines up and flush and the threads aren't bad at all, I've had smoother but they work great, no hickups there.

No whistle on mine at all but the airflow seems a bit tight even with the allen screw removed. It's not bad and I've been use to my Kraken with the airflow almost all the way open so that might be part of it but I'd like to loosen it up a little if anyone has any feedback.

Overall I'd do it over again, definitely worth the price of admission and If I get the airflow loosened up a little it'll be off the charts.

That one doesn't quite float my boat. I'm sure it's a great device, but I'm leaning more towards one of the new-ish Poldiac clones. I had one of the earlier ones from fast(slow)tech, the PH22 model. I buggered up the button though, and the way it's made, I can't get inside the housing without somehow removing the press-fit delrin insulator. That is proving to be quite difficult.

One Note:
Swapping to a more open Drip Tip will relieve some of the tight draw.
Not Brave enough to try myself, but the Air hole could be drilled larger. Not flush mounting on must devices would help. Any gap will allow the air screw opening to draw air. Flush mounting stops that.

Mine arrived today. Still have another 12hr shift tomorrow, so I'll be waiting until Sunday to clean and set up. Overall Very Pleased with the look.
The Brushed Finish matches my HCigar Nemesis perfectly and almost makes it look Hybrid.

If this thing performs like my Rocket Tanks I will be more than glad I spent the bucks.

Happy Vaping everyone!:vapor:

If they all are like mine I don't think it matters if it's flush mounted. I took it apart removed the center pin, inserted a smaller drill bit through it and it didn't go all the way through, it's sealed about 3/4 way up the center pin channel, all the airflow is coming trough the side hole. I stopped up the hole on the center pin at the bottom when I put it back together and it didn't make a difference.

Wound up drilling the side airflow to 1/16" and it's awesome now, I can adjust with the allen screw from completely shut off to a pretty wide open draw or anywhere in between and no whistle. Totally happy with this thing now.

Excellent, thanks for the experimentation.. I'll do this tomorrow as well. I'm not flush, have a wide drip tip and as-is, wide-open, it doesn't even come close to my R91 as far as obtaining an airy draw.

Do you think its airy enough for a comfortable lung hit without drilling? I could survive mouth to lung hits until I get a drill for it but im just curious. For me something common like a protank3 is too tight for lung. Would you say its more open then that?
