Has anybody figured out a way to get rid of the whistling that the kayfun lite plus has. Its realllly annoying.
I bought 3 of them and 1 of them didn't whistle the other 2 whistle..
so not every unit whistles.. :/

I was lucky I guess. I bought 6 KFL+, and none of them whistle.
bought mine from vaperev too and NO whistle here. Had mine for a couple weeks now. It's flawless and performs like a champ.
I was trying to be a little funny as not holding my genny upside down worked its way into my routines. The reason was exactly as Akdare pointed out. Of course there's no reason to hold a KFL+ upside down, other than working excess juice out the air channel, but I sure like the idea of putting it in my pocket.
Why I had a leaky genny:
My AGA-T2 tasted better with the screws left out. I only learned much later that it had to do with the way I built it. I never really bothered to improve my build as I hardly ever carried my mod around. I eventually did start carrying it which resulted in a handful of minor spills, but I was still under the idea that an aga-t would be more flavorful without screws regardless of the build. Call me stupid or lazy.
On the topic of whistles. I didn't get any real whistling so far, but I did adjust my draw to be little tighter. Purchased from Intaste.

eBay seller had 14 on hand. I snatched 6. Paid a little more for them, but not much.
Received a FKL+ today to keep my Russian 91% company. got it from Vaperev, ordered last Saturday. Good job Vaperev and really great quality SvoeMesto. Threw on a quick vertical coil 8-wraps 30ga Kanthal at 1.7 ohms and cotton wicking. It's wonderful! Great vapor and taste. And... no whistle.
Bought a beauty ring from Loki to give it a flush look on my ProVari since VapeRev was sold out. For those that are curious, the 510 connection in the KFL+ is too short for these rings. I tried sanding it down to make it fit but eventually gave up.
Going to trade my ProVari for a VW Nemesis tomorrow, in which these look awesome on. I know I know, it shouldn't be about aesthetics but I like having a flush looking setup. Going to save up for a Semovar soon.

Got a question about the airflow screw. Should it keep screwing in to the point the airflow starts opening up again? I thought it would get tight once it was fully closed. But on mine, it just keeps turning and the airflow starts opening up again. Is this normal?
I don't hear a whistling sound if i close my AFC but if i open it up close to being flush with the base of the atomizer that's when the whistling begins and I like mine with a looser draw, two of the KFL+ whistle when it's fully open 1 of them works fine and all I hear is air. All of them if the AFC screw is half way screwed in do not make a whistle.
So i got my KFL+ today. wondering how to flush mount it to my provari with the hippo cap. Should i tighten the 510 screw at the bottom of the atty? i saw that adjusts the build deck though. should i take the build out and tighten it down? will the build deck stay straight after that?
The center pin in the hippo (if you have the v2) is adjustable. Use a flat screwdriver. Clockwise moves the pin deeper in the recess.

Aside from aesthetics, Nemesis craps on a wack Provari any day of the week, hands down. Good choice!
I prefer the R91 to the KFL+ because of the adjustable 510. It helps it to fit flush on devices using different battery combinations, with a kick or fuse, with hybrid adapters, and the Hippo on a Provari. That way, you can use it on both the Provari and Nemesis.
If you really must flush-mount on a device without an adjustable pin that sits deep then yes go with the russian. Otherwise I would go for the kayfun.
