That's a keeper. They don't make it anymore I believe - the MMT!

They only make it as a hybrid now. I got this one from a friend in my local group. Serial #46. The only problem was, it had a flat cap. I carefully slotted it with my Dremel, to use with the Spheroid.

^That is true. But that aside, the Spheroid is an amazing vape experience - slim, trim, classy - but accepts any build (like the Kayfuns) and doles out a superb VTF. The only attys I daily use are my Spheroids and the Kayfuns. They are the regulars, while infrequently comes in the Scuba/Diver, SnP/Killer and the Oddy.

Besides, if you have a 14500 mod - u might not be able to do without a Spheroid - I have three.

Yea, I know...it is a great device and I've enjoyed it. But I wanted another kfl and the spheroid has been sitting here unused. I mainly use provari's and with the air hole being in the 510 connection, sometimes I don't get good air flow. Also, I prefer using micros and cotton, it's so easy to just change out the cotton and dry burn the coil. But I've not had the best of luck with cotton in the spheroid, it's not quite stiff enough to stay up and get good contact with the filler. So I pretty much have to use a doubled and looped silica and when using that, I have to recoil every time I change wicks. Attaching coils in the spheroid isn't my favorite thing to do, I hate having to get those tiny nuts tight, I don't like them in my DID either but I live with it.

Besides, I don't have a 14500 device and don't plan on getting one. I just don't like having a $100 device sitting here unused when I can trade it for another $100 device that I will use. I've only used my peach mix in the spheroid and it's been awesome. I hope it'll be just as awesome in a kfl.

Hmm, and I went ahead and loaded SS Mesh in it...

I attempted micro/cotton on two of my Spheroids, mine and my wife's. I had great luck for a short amount of time until the wick sagged too much. My wife's, however, went strong for a month with zero issues. I threw the silica back in when I rewicked it.

That being said, I think ID on GP thread posted something on a stronger cotton setup in his Spheroid.

Nonetheless, grats on your trade. You can't go wrong using either of the attys, Spheroid or Kayfun. :D

I just have to say, after a week with the KFL and Russian 91%, I'm quite impressed.

When I first started using it I was a bit underwhelmed. My first two builds weren't that good, but the third one has been working wonderfully using 5wraps of 30ga kanthal and a XC-116 wick. I've been enjoying my KFL with some Pluid (despite having to constantly swap O-Rings as they swell, ordered some PTFE #8 O Rings which SHOULD hopefully alleviate the issue). But what really brought it home, was switching back to my carto tank with Pluid, and seeing just how much less VTF I was getting. It's like night and day (which I didn't notice at first going the other direction, as the KFL took me a bit of time to get working right).

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to switch back. I just wish someone would make a Pyrex tank that would work with the KFL, or even a Metal Tank with a Pyrex window. I've gotten better about using a syringe to check the fluid levels, but it's still pain never knowing how much Pluid I have in the tank. I'm guessing I'll eventually get better about judging the fluid levels based on how much I've used it, but a clear tank that wouldn't crack would be great.

Would you happen to have a link for the O-rings? I haven't had time to setup my KFL I ordered a couple weeks back (12 hour days, 7 days a week taps me out by the time I get home lol) but I want to make sure it will handle my DIY Djarum Black juice, will I need to swap out all of the O-rings just to be on the safe side?

with the center of the wick (coil) pushed lower toward the air hole i experienced flooding....???thats why i lifted the coil a bit...
or does it have to do with better wicking? to avoid the leads pulling the wick?

The top lead set up allows the coil to sit down in the slot, instead of above it. I use a single piece of cotton, from a cotton ball, which sits in the slots, on a straight line in and out of the coil. I then trim the cotton exactly even with the edge of the platform. I've had no leaking nor flooding.
