Yeah, I can imagine that you don't want to make a mistake and unscrew the wrong one, unless it is upside down and you realize you mistake before flipping it back over.
What's the general consensus for using a little piece of cotton over top of the coil? better or worse flavor then without?
I've done all my builds this way (laying an extra piece of cotton on top) after reading Truman's old posts, and the flavor is good with the really gunky NETs I use (only getting a tank to a tank and 1/4 out of most before dry burning). I think the throat hit is a bit more diminished this way, but I am just chasing flavor, and my nic's at 18mg as it is with a regular 28g microcoil wrapped around a 1.5mm bit - wicked with organic cotton, and coming in at around 1-1.1ohms

I started laying a separate piece of snc yarn across the coil a few builds ago and I noticed a better vapor and flavor and will continue to do so! YMMV

Are the legit mtanks by sveomesto a little wider like a cm wider then the metal tanks? I have a centari clear tank for my kayfun from coolvape and its a bit wider(which i like). Was gonna pick up another mtank from the shop I got my v2 kayfun but they sold out. Other pictures I've seen they seem to be wider. I'm thinking of just ordering a replica from a online site which is the same diameter as the steel tanks (flush).

I believe you can get 22mm which is flush or 23mm which is a tad wider
yeah one I have is 23mm, but is the legit mtank 22mm?

I think the flush ones look better.
yeah flush looks great on my nemmy but for my provari and chi-you the extra mm is has a great contrast look since my provari is a little wider and my chi-you has that thick ring on the top and bottom

hey guys got my kayfun lite in, sucker leaks awful, tank seems airtight, leaks out the airhole, several times now, my 3.1 hardly ever leaks and then just barely,
i noticed the o ring over the chiminey came unseated so i re seated it with the replacement, it still leaks.
maybe i just got a bad kayfun lite clone
suggestions?

If extra o-rings came with your clone, change them out...there's a defective one somewhere.
Where did you get it from? I got a Tobeco from Venerable Vaping for a new vaping friend and it had the same problem. AJ replaced it. Said there was 2 out of 100 that had the issue. I have a real KFL and am very familiar with building it, but for the life of me could not figure out why it leaked so badly.
Legit ones have the 23mm bow down the middle. They do make flush ones. I have a Paps X which is 23mm so it looks nice.
Darn. I rewicked and now my KFL+ v2 is whistling even with the afc screw off 
I guess with it flush on my nemesis theres no air going into the afc hole and all of it coming through the main airhole. Wish i had a dremel to bevel the hole.

Try removing the centre post and putting it back in. It happened to me and for the longest time I was wondering how I screwed up. Turns out it's because the air hole in the centre post is not aligned with the main AFC hole. A partially covered air hole causes the whistle

Ill try that when I empty the tank. Just wish the juice fill hole wasnt deepen so I wouldnt have to use a needle bottle and just use a bottle with a nipple top. Least on my russian91 / kfl+ v1 I could easily suck in the juice from the tank to the bottle very easily and cleanly.

What cotton do you guys use for your builds? I bought a pack of 365 Everyday Value Organic Cotton Balls from Whole Foods to replace my wick but it's muting my flavor and alot of my hits just taste...empty.
that is exactly what I use. should open up after the wick soaks up completely and breaks in. Takes me a couple puffs.
other than that it is good. what else have you used as a wick? I think it compares favorably with silica and ekowool
loving my second batch KFL+. it whistles when you force it, so just relax, inhale, and let the vapor expansion do the work. dont suck on it. also, there is no hole in my center post to align with the air hole as stated above. I believe that is only in the 3.1 though I have never owned a lite before.
Yes I believe it is 22mm because the stock metal rings for the tank that come with the KFL sit flush IMO, they sit the same as my 22mm nano tank just shorter. But they do offer a 23mm, I'm not totally sure why
I use sterile rolled cotton from CVS. Found in the first aid aisle or can bought online http://m.cvs.com/mt/www.cvs.com/shop/product-detail/CVS-Rolled-Cotton?skuId=955492
For me organic cotton balls start out with an odd flavor before they break in and the flavor is a little muted compared to sterile cotton.
