I don't claim to be someone that can fix all problems with the kayfuns but with mine anyways, it performs awesome 100 percent of the time. I never owned a clone and I'm sure those may have possible issues that is a little harder to get right. I love these devices and love working on them. If anyone is having issues with their kayfun and is about to give up and don't mind paying a couple bucks to send them to me. I would gladly take a look and get it going. Keep in the problematic set up so I can evaluate. I then will try to get working perfectly and let you know why there were issues. I really wouldn't mind even if I was sent 50 of them.

I have a few clones and and an authentic and like I've said the clones vale and work just as well as the authentic in my opinion. Actually I find the black edition and ehproV2 to vape slightly Better

I kinda of feel the same way. I know I have done this in the past. I can't speak for the clones either. Truthfully, I question the quality of some of them. Yes,I'm sure most are more than fine. But I also suspect there are some that are not very fine. I have all genuine too and I still have not experienced one, single dry hit.

So Cal
Interesting - I've had a bunch of problems with my EH Pro. I finally got the first one right, after about 50 attempts at wicking, and it was great. Except that it would flood overnight. I just rewicked it, and so far I've done this one a half dozen times, and am still having trouble. The first time I finally got it so the flavor was outstanding. This time I can't get the flavor, and am getting intermittent dry hits. It makes no sense that it's so incredibly finicky...

I hate to blame the equipment, but I do wonder if all isn't right with this clone. This is my first Kayfun, so I have nothing to compare it to. I have a Fogger that works perfectly!

I think the clones are like anything... Some are bad some are great. When I started looking i did a clone just to try it out. No one here sells them so it was a lack of options.. I orders an ehpro of eGay. Loved it so I got my authentic and noticed the sorts were interchangeable and the only difference was the finish not quite as nice on the clone. Them I started wondering if I was justified in spending 3 times the amount. Especially since I don't have much/any disposable income. So, I figured i would stick with the clones.... The last two I got are finished nicer than the authentic and like unsaid vape better. It's not fair to say that since both Clones have more airflow than the original by design.
That said I have seen some clones that are ummm not quite as nice, would be the best way to put it. The ones I've vaped just as well; but the machining was not quite there- burs I'm the threads, the finish was a little bla, yet power to atty and they flushed out flavorful vape.

I'm sure most clones are just as good as real, but some have been known to have issues. The issues besides fit and finish have been airflow issues and channel sizes. I personally don't think the kayfun is finicky but maybe if I started learning Rebuildables with this device the maybe so. Maybe because I spent 2 years rebuilding genesis attys, it gave me a head start. I truly think it's in the amounts of wicking material, but once you find this consistency, it's not to bad. I know most have heard less is better but I'm not so sure. I feel like I have a decent amount of cotton in my coils. I get a fair amount of resistance when inserting. Once I have a good amount in my coil, I then slide cotton back and forth until the center of the wick gets slightly sheared, thus reducing the amount just where the coil is. If I get overwhelmed, I will keep you in mind, thanks

I'm sure there are clones that are very good. I know many who use clones and they haven't had a lick of trouble. Then I've heard of others who do. So I think you're right...some are good, some not so good. The other problem you run into with clones is they are primarily made in China. Their QC is questionable...inconsistent, let's say. They make make a run of a thousand units and they're perfect. Then they have a run where they are not. Same brand same everything. just worn tooling or something.

I don't have cotton build pics, but I do have the set up I just did with Rayon/CC. So far its been about two hours and not a dry hit. Just good vapor, flavor and TH. Its a micro coil coming in at 1.5ohms. 12 wraps with 28g around a 1/16 drill bit:

Not sure how I found this video, so it may be a repeat from in here. I watched this video after having problems with my Tobeco mini. The way they wick their mini and switching out the plastic bottom piece with the metal has fixed my problems with the mini (and my EHPRO plus V2). :)

Thank you. I really do like to help and this forum has been a passion for me for a couple years. I would like to help so much, I would even pay the shipping both ways. I like to help mainly because I always feel like if that person doesn't get it right, they will go back to cigarettes, and that is Nasty.

Nice looking set up. nice photos and a good look of how a cotton build should look like (even though that's rayon). Actually my saturated cotton wicks might look a little more plump.

Thanks Vap! Testing this build out with the longer tails to see how it performs over time. I might be light on density but so far its been hitting great!

Hey vapdivrr, out of curiosity...what setup are you running or rather, whats your favorite setup for the Kayfun? Also, do you think it works better with the coil perpendicular to the deck or on an angle like the ones in the recent pic you just replied to? I run a 5/64 dia 28g 1.4 ohm coil run perp to the deck with cellucotton, but I'm thinking of maybe a 1/16 dia micro with 29g angled with with cellucotton. It seems like the angled coil would take longer to wick because the wick is longer and in the sort of S shape.

Yeah I won't say the names of the clones I've seen and vaped on that are ummmmmm funky. But the ones I think that rival the authentic-
Ehpro V2, Hcigar and Artemis. The Hcigar I've seen and used, if you gave me that and an authentic I doubt I could tell them apart. Funny part is those are the most expensive of the clones. At least know I know what clone brands to sort of stick
With.

What is your opinion of rayon?
I'm a convert to it as of this week I'm just curious as to what other people are thinking of it.

Hcigar has a pretty good reputation for quality remakes. I own a Hcigar Nemesis and it's an excellent mech.

I have their caravela. My next clone RBA will be one of hcigars. Like i said I'm good with clones. Just want to do the homework to make sure it's a quality build.
I'm not ok with cloned electronics though. Mechs and RBAs yes so long as the machining and material is quality. Too many variables get brought into the electronics for me to trust a clone. I was tempted though with the hana clones.... Not gonna happen In this lifetime- that thread is on FIRE with problems. Someone suggested I get a Cana and swap out the board with a real DNA. I am so glad I can think critically and use the brain god have me. I'll have the cheapest peripheral wires available and assembled by the cheapest labor on the planet running a high power board. No, by the time I brought it up to spec I could buy a real one. Buying smart and buying cheap are two different things.
