Now that I've finally figured out a proper build this tobecos kayfun lite is my best tank, I mean the flavor on the intake and exhale are just unbelievable and I'm just using a straight mechanical nemesis (18500 battery.) this is like a new dimension to vaping, hard to describe how the flavor could be so much better than the aerotank. And I think with a bit of practice I could get the time for a microcoil build under 15 minutes.
The trickiest part right now is getting the coil ends to stay under the Phillips post as I tighten down. Seems non intuitive to wrap counter clockwise and tighten clock wise. I reckon I just need more practice.
Can't wait to try the Ephro, I hope it works as well a the tobecos kayfun lite.
Thanks for all the help received here, I am looking at owning a tank that not only has incredible taste but also doesn't chew-up and spit out $1.50 heads every few days. That's a big money saver.
My advice to anyone on the fence is to watch the micro-coil you-tube video's and give it a try (exclude the Britsh one, it lead me into using way to much wick.) And use sterile cotton unless you like the idea of boiling and drying for days on end (not my cup of tea.)
I just got an EHPro KFL+ v2 a couple weeks back and I love it! The build quality is top notch and the vape is awesome. In fact I want to get another one soon just to have for alternate juice flavors.
Something that might be giving you problems with that Tobeco is that they're known for using screws that are round underneath; this makes it a little tricky to catch the coil, since it wants to push it out as you tighten the screw down. The EHPro's screws are flat on the bottom, so they don't have this problem.
When it comes to wrapping coils, here's how I do it: hold your drill bit (or whatever you're wrapping around) horizontally in front of you with your left hand. Start with the wire against the "back" side of the drill bit. Grab the bottom of the wire and wrap it
towards you, up over and around the bit; you'll be wrapping from left to right. Continue until you have as many coils as you want, and leave the "finishing" end of the wire pointing down. Now you should be able to lay your coil on the Kayfun build deck and wrap the wire clockwise around the screws. It might seem a little weird wrapping the coil towards you the first time you do it, but you'll end up with a coil that goes on the atty in a logical way. Hopefully this helps (and made sense

.)
[BTW, if you're a lefty you'll have to figure out how to reverse it on your own

. Actually, you'd just wrap the wire from right to left, but start with the wire touching the side of the drill bit
facing you, and wrap
away from you.]
