I've got a ton of 400 mesh and was thinking of doing this same style wrap but.... Roll twice and oxidize around a 16g BTN, unrole lightly and set in my cotton and roll it up
So this way the mesh will have the cotton wicking through it as the chambers fill? But I'm still reading up on different ways to build my KF Lite before actual operation... And I'm awaiting delivery of my Caravela and TRV Hybrid Adapter
So this way the mesh will have the cotton wicking through it as the chambers fill? But I'm still reading up on different ways to build my KF Lite before actual operation... And I'm awaiting delivery of my Caravela and TRV Hybrid Adapter Some extra pics under the hood. This morning I decided to re-wick it to try my Boba's after 1 week of steeping and took some extra pics of the guts under the hood and how I set the wick on it, pictures are pretty self explanatory:
Solid mesh wick, no hole through the middle:

Piece of cotton rolled and folded over in half around the tips of the wick (this piece was to big, I removed some cotton from this roll for the next pic:

Wick laid on the deck and cut to size:

Wicks pointed upwards to put the chamber on (couldn't really put the chamber on succesfuly without messing up the wick positioning):

Chamber installed:

Wicks pushed into the chamber, I pushed around the tips of the mesh wick to make sure the cotton was wrapping around the entire tip and I pushed the cotton off to the sides against the chamber walls and away from the coil wires. Made sure the entire bottom of the deck was covered in cotton without pushing down to hard and blocking the channels:
