I've heard putting the KFL upside down solves the leaking during flying. Try that.

I would if I were flying or just transporting one, but my intent is to find a tank based atty that I can vape while driving up 3000'. I keep tanks up here at altitude and some down at home. Just want to vape away on the drive but not have to drip

I just recently picked up a KFL+ because I work at high altitude. 3000' feet up to get to work and then another 3000' most days on the mountain. That said after climbing 2000' feet of the way to work the fluid started pouring out of the air hole on the side. Just a burst and I wiped it up, after that it continued to work for the rest of the tank, just a couple gurgly hits brought was left in the airway back to the tank and vaped.
Still looking for a tank that can handle the change in altitude, but I don't think it exists yet...

During flights, store your KFL upside down to prevent leakage. See below.

From the KFL manual @ SvoeMesto Manuals

Leaks may also happen when ambient temperature and/or pressure changes abruptly, for
example when you walk into a heated room from the cold or in an airplane during
takeoff/landing.
It may even happen during rapid ascent/descent in express elevator.
Solid (metal) parts of the device are expanding/shrinking with temperature/pressure
change, changing the volume of the tank and causing e-liquid to flow into the evaporation
chamber.
Pressure drop causes the process similar to what happens when you draw, just without
heating the coil.
To avoid leakage in such cases we recommend you to keep/transfer Kayfun Lite upside
down i.e. mouthpiece down.
In this case, grooves (1h) will be at the top in the «air bubble» and when the temperature
or pressure changes, air will flow between evaporation chamber and tank instead of eliquid.

Yes, I get that, and am sure it will be helpful the the op of the thread, but see my post above. Not just looking to transport, looking to find a tank based system that I can vape while ascending/descending considerable altitudes while in a motor vehicle.

My flavor experience is definitely not muted Turbo, and for me, this setup is better in all areas…not really sure how additional wicks/liquid on the coil would mute flavor…but hey, if it didn't work for ya, it didn't work for ya. Like i said earlier…the 2 biggest differences are much thicker vapor and flavor holding up through at least tankfuls. Here's another shot of what i described earlier with the loop gap.

I finally had a chance to build using the Truman wick and I have to say, Very juicy vape. The draw seems tight if I take a pull without hitting the button but once I do push the button it vapes nice. Really brings out the sweetness and flavor. It does spatter more but not that big of a deal. Time to re wick the 3.1. :vapor:

Just ordered one via intaste.de :D

Make sure you're at your delivery address, or else you will be a slave to Fedex. Had a few horrid experiences getting mail from intaste (3 days shipping turned to 15 when they returned to customs, then to sender then to customs.... -_-

Just put the mod/kayfun upside down in your cupholder while you drive. The air will equalize constantly. When you want a vape, pick it up and use it then put it back upside down. It doesn't have to be difficult. :)

Can you vape in the airport or on a plane??

-Sent from outer space using DNA20 and Kayfun Lite

Depends on the airport, and the airline. But mostly in the states, the answer is NO to both. You can vape in a smoking area if your airport has one.

Me? I just vape in the pitiful excuse for a restroom on the plane.

I read some posts that suggest the spheroid is best for vaping while ascending/descending, lying down, hot/cold, or whatever.

The Spheroid won't leak...I have one. And the flavor and vapor are on par with my KFL+. Great customer service as well. Domestically, you can buy from domovaporco.com. The original site is vapourart.com.

If I were to make an 8 wrap 28g micro coil on a kick 2 set at 15 watts vs a 8 wrap 26g micro coil on a kick 2 would I get better flavor from the 26g micro coil?

How would this work because I hear a lot of people say you get better flavor from a thicker wire and some people say the vape will be the same because in the end the watts is what really determines everything?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Not the best couple of vape days... got some new juices in yesterday.. 3 were unvapable, one was identical to something I already make and at least the other one is awesome.

My Reo shorted right before going to work this morning and the spring shrank (at least it did it before I left the house and nothing blew up) but I had to scramble to get something else to take. Now I have to send the Reo back to Rob :(

After a really rough 8 hours at work and 5 hours at the beauty salon.. I rushed home to find the Roller I bought didn't come and the new flavors I ordered didn't come. :glare: BUT the kfl+ I ordered from intaste did come. :) I washed and brushed it in hot soapy water, threw a coil in it, primed and filled it and let it sit for a few minutes. Bleh! machine oil taste!
yerk-014.gif
, It's now soaking in dawn dishwashing liquid.. I don't know if I should boil it or not. My first kfl didn't taste like this! Also the 510 connection doesn't look adjustable.

I had that happen on my clone. I soaked it and scrubbed too. My guess, soak it in vodka or alcohol with the orings removed. Maybe that will help some.

And if that doesn't work...just drink the vodka!

Seriously, I have a KFL+, had it about 3 weeks or so, and I just love it! Best tasting, most consistent atty I've had. If you have any issues once you've got it cleaned up, just let us know!

I have had the Russian 91% for some time now and picked up a KFL+ today from my local vapor store.

I do like the KFL+ but not near as much as my Russian 91%. The included drip tip with the o-ring set up just wiggles like a loose tooth in the connection for it. All 3 examples the store had did this. I don't know why they didn't put the threaded channel and adapter sleeve on this. Also the airflow control is a sick joke. On mine the draw was super tight, I had to take the airflow screw out and lost it already because it's so damn small. Turns out I ran some wire up the air channel and there was a blockage I cleared out. Now with the airflow totally open it was too light so I had to use my spare airflow screw which was a bit of a chore to get back in with that tiny screw.

I can't really adjust the airflow how I'd like because that airflow screw sticks out when loosening the draw and my tank sits totally flush on my vanilla mod, so it's either slightly too tight or take out the screw and way too light of a draw. Really a poor design IMHO. Especially with flush fitting mods being so popular.

Just to nitpick, the KFL+ cost me a good bit more than my Russian 91% but you'd never know it from the boxing and accessories! The Russian came with a slick, very well thought out box that had a much better presentation and the mini screw driver included and tons of extra parts. The KFL+ came in a simple cheap box with a baggie of one extra set of screws and o-rings.

Svoemesto is the originator of the design, but the Russian is doing in better for less money I'm sorry to say.
