Take your fill screw out & suck the juice out with a syringe. :)

So I have a EHPro KFL+ and have been using it without any issues. I recently purchased a EHPro KFL+ v2 and the resistance readings are all over the place. I tried making a 1.6 ohm micro coil and it reads anywhere from 1.7-2.4 ohms. Haven't had this issue with the KFL+ v1. Also I find that the draw is tighter on the v2 even with the air screw out all the way.

Do you guys think this is a center pin issue?

Take it apart. You may have something blocking the airway. It could also be that the air channel in the centrepost is not lined up with the air hole. Putting a paperclip down the air hole, and then carefully turning the centrepost screw will confirm that for you.

As for the crazy resistance readings, check to make sure you have tightened down the screws on your coil.

And that you don't have extra wire sticking out from beyond the screws.

OK, opening up a fresh discussion here. As you know (at least speaking for the Svoemesto brand), there is no finer threading that can be found. As a person who has been around a lot of machining, I can say the thread quality of Svoemesto Kayfuns is as good as it gets. There is one drawback with such high quality of threads. They work REAL good! You get maximum holding forces and taking them apart can be adventurous. A few weeks ago I told Bridget I would mess around with some experimentation because she came to me asking if there was something that could be done to make it easier to unscrew the Kayfun segments. At that time I told her I knew mineral oil would work. I suggested mineral oil only because I know humans can digest it safely in the event microscopic amounts end up in the juice. Preferably, it would be nice if e-liquid could be used for the same. So I saturated a q-tip and swabbed my threads before putting my Kayfun together (prior, I just smeared a little on the oring only). After a couple tanks it was time to take it apart to see if it was easier to unthread. I can answer in the affirmative for all the connections except for the lower SS segment to the deck. That was as difficult as ever. Not sure why (more heat down there maybe). But anyway, I tried something different this time. I just slopped the juice on the threads this time (instead of swabbing). So I'll see how that works when I take it apart next time.

As always, I would be interested in hearing other's testimonials and solutions to this problem.

I've used e-liquid to coat the threads on several things. It worked really well on some, but others, like my Kraken, are almost impossible to take apart. I can't remember whether I used it on my Kayfun or not. I probably did, because I'm not having any problem getting it apart now, and I've been doing it automatically when I first get my toppers for a while.

I can't speak about the Svoemestos, since I don't have one, though it does sound like something worth investing in! But I have a similar problem at times even with my Tobeco clone; there are already scratches on the top-ring, the part the driptip goes into, from having to use needle-nose pliers to get it started. I'm thinking very seriously of investing in a pair with rubber or silicone on the "needle-noses" to prevent this getting any worse, or having a similar problem when I do invest in a much more expensive RBA, like any kind of original, non-clone. Being female, I've had to learn to use tools like this to open many things, but I sure don't want to mess up my nice vapegear, especially the more costly items.

Thanks Bronze.

I'm still hesitant on using e-liq as it feels sticky if you get it on your hands. The mineral oil works well, and I'll continue to use it as long as no one thinks it will cause any damage. I did that a week (or so?) ago, have refilled several times and no problems getting pieces apart since.

Well, I know mineral oil works...just not certain on the safety. Yes, it's OK to ingest and may help those with constipation ( :) ), but to vape?

I think I would prefer the mineral oil over the petroleum jelly.

One thing about the KFL is i never get a dry hit and TH rocks.

True... except when I use the Nano... then I seem to get nothing *but* burnt taste, but I can't see that it's dry hits, since the wick is always soaked when I take it apart, but the wick is scorched inside the coil. I just don't get it! :-x
