What else makes better flavor than Kayfuns?
Taifun GT!
I keep one provari with a full size taifun on it and my mini grab n go is a mini provari with a kayfun in nano mode.
My taifun has the afc pulled out with a wide bore drip tip and the flavor is INSANELY GOOD! The flavor is like what you would get out of a dripper and it had the plus of being able to take the base off without having to empty the tank.

The ruzgar is better also but it doesn't have an afc and to me I find the draw a but tight.

The orchid is slightly better but only at high power imho

From their like bronze said dripping attys as a whole do have better flavor but outside of the magma it's a constant game of adding liquid which for me is great when time allows but I like having a tank personally

This is all subjective as you know but as others have mentioned drippers do. As for rta's the erlkonigin and aqua imo are slightly better in flavor and vapor but there is more to a tank then just that, so the kayfun is truly still my go to. Although i do feel those other tanks are a bit better, the differences are small. As I had stated once before, if there were let's say 5 top of the line tanks in front of you and all had the same exact set up in them and same juice, and there was a way to make all the draws exactly the same, also the weights and feel. now let's say you actually have owned them, my question is blindfolded, can someone by flavor and vapor production be able to specify which attys are which?

NO!

I participated in a taste test during a Grad class I took years ago. We taste tested colas and beers. No one in the class could tell you with any accuracy which brand was which. Die hard Coca Cola fans swore up and down that Coke was better and that's why they drank Coke (and Pepsi drinkers the same). After repeated trials, each person guessed their brand half the time meaning no one had any clue which one was which. They were just guessing.

Personally I would venture to say it had more to do with the cotton then the coil. For the most part you would of seen the hot spots when you dry fired the coil. These would of been quite noticeable visually. As long as the coil had lite up from center out, or all at the same time, no issues. The type of cotton on the other hand can make a good bit of difference. Hopefully you are very close now so good luck again. One thing though, you haven't given up.

I tried rayon, cotton of all sorts without success. Not till this morning when I used the premade coil did I get good result. Wraping a good coil I think is harder than it looks. I can afford 50 cents a coil to avoid the headach.

Well I've not used or built a Terminator for quite some time now. A royal PITA but in the end it will give better flavor (IMO) than a Kayfun. Way back I sold my first Kayfun 3.1 'cause the $190 atty (for me) wasn't able to out best my $35 Terminator that I got from Discountvapors.
But these days Taifun's and Kayfun's are my go to atties 'cause the GG clones are a PITA in comparison on set up time. Just my opinion not facts...LOL
So I just now pulled out a Terminator, made NR/R coil and is vaping away with no leaks.....yet

that's what im thinking also. after a couple years of collecting, I now own about 6 great tank set ups and all are indeed so close it maybe hard to tell the difference, same with coils and wicking materials. I love to build and try different things so I can see why people like to build weird and complicated stuff but in the end came someone really tell the difference between a .5 parallel coil and a .5 twisted coil? or a dual dragon vs a dual monster? or a dripping nano vs a micronano double vertical? they all are kind of cool and may have slight variances but if you didn't know what coil was in there, no way to tell. I feel the same with wicking materials, same scenario as before, hard to tell the differences.

maybe you bought a load of bad wires? I just have seen so many pics of wonky, crooked, smushed, uneven, etc coils here and people say their in vape heaven, so usually the issues are with wicking. honestly I have never seen a short in one of my micro coils since doing them. now when I was doing genesis and ss mesh wicks, well that's another story but for micro coils, never. as long as the coil heats up even when dry burning, it has to be good enough where you wont have any issues. now if one made a micro and never pinched them, well that's also another story because the wraps at that point are shorting out. but once you pinch a few times and see the coil lighting up nicely, its good. let me ask you this, when you made a coil and dry burned it, then pinched it, how did it fire? are you saying you can tell the difference when you dry fire the pre mades? the pre mades light up better then yours did? never even knew they sold pre made micros for these tanks, you said 50c each? well that's pretty cheap anyways.

I find that my Fogger V4 are much better with certain flavors especially those with a cream or custard portion in their flavor. Its about the same for certain other flavors. Not that much harder to build the dual coil. But for simple build it and forget it, with the occasional wick change now that I'm using rayon, nothing beats the Kayfun lite + as long as the clone I get has AFC.

My 2 GG Ithakas afford better flavor than my KFLs. However, they have been sitting idle for the past 2 months until I get my upgrade kits for them. The waiting continues, as usual with GG products. Regardless, the KFLs are always in my daily rotation.

Agree 100%. It's fun to monkey with stuff and fun to think some new fangled way to build an atty is a game changer but in the end, there are not a while lot of differences in them.

Just wanted to report that I am sitting on 3 day of light useage with the 1.5 ohm 5/64" 28g ebay coil.. I've been getting over 3 weeks with these coils in my RDA's. I bought a coil winder of ebay in hopes that one day I'll be able to build such beautiful coils on my own but I'm not in any big hrry at 75 cent a pieve more just for insurance in case he quits making his magnificent coils.

I think I had about the toughest learning curve on building the KFL on here, so it give me perspective. I'll add my 2 cents for what its worth:

    1. Use pads, but the catch is they have to be good cotton pads
    2. I watch too many youtube videos where they wrap the coil and its all crooked and they say we'll just torche that back into shape. I don't agree with this train of thought, especially with nets and gunky juices. I think the coil must be straight and fire with no hot spots without torching. JMHO and I know a lot will disagree but I've put a lot of hour into these thing so have a good perspective.

I also wanted to say a positive, this is the best tasting tank I could imagine. I'm even to the point where I think I could take it to work for 13 hrs daily.

awesome! im so glad you are getting some well deserved performance from it. I know at one point you probably thought that everyone was just BSing about how good they were. I know there are learning curves for any tank with some being longer then others and as far back as I can remember every device I owned, while in this learning curve I actually thought the device and its so called performance was a conspiracy and that the device was really APOS and everyone knew it but didn't want to admit it. anyone out there felt this way? even my last atty, the erlkonigin, I thought because I have been rebuilding for over 2 years, I would get this tank in a few hours. well after 2 days it still wasn't very good. I said and thought that everyone who owns this tank is just lying and saying how wonderful it is because they don't want to look like a failure. seriously I thought it was a conspiracy! anyways I know these tanks can be a love hate relationship and im glad your in the love part now.
