KGO or E-Power?

Now this is my next question. i thought that a drip tip was used in place of a carto.. i was thinking the atomizer and drip tip and you would just put drops of eliquid into the drip tip.. however you just mentioned you have a drip tip with a carto .. so perhaps i dont understand as much as i thought..

Lots of folks prefer the feel of a drip tip to using the rubber plug that comes with cartos. The drip tip is optional and I rarely use them myself as I'm just a basic kind of guy...

I don't use the drip tip for dripping. It's used as a mouthpiece. Using a drip tip this way just feels better than dragging on the end of a carto and the little hole in the white plastic carto plugs restrict airflow too much for my taste. Using a drip tip also protects the vaper from sucking in unvaporised e-liquid if the carto is held horizontally while vaping. You can also get tiny droplets of e-liquid when a LR carto gets a good pop. A drip tip stops that.

I don't even use the drip tip while drip filling the cartos. I just drip straight in and fill them up. Then the carto goes onto the E-Power or I cap them for future use.

great, thats what i was actually going to use the drip tip for.. i just dont like the taste of eliqued and that seems to happen without that extension.. anyway, i should get this epower tomorrow but for sure this week.. i dont want to have to buy 5 cartos at the gas station for $25 again.. tho its better than the analogs..

Here is how to see if someone has used their E-Power 14650 a lot. Look at the photo in post #100. See how the metal looks a little dull next to the switch button? That switch module is nickle plated brass. My thumb on the switch has worn down the nickle plate. In a couple of more months that area will look like brass. With the E-Power 14650 you don't toss the switch every time a battery wears out. The switch itself still works fine.

If the worn look starts to bother me (I doubt if it will) I can replace that switch module with one from CCV for about $9. The rest of this E-Power 14650 is brushed stainless steel which holds up extremely well.

Took a cell phone shot in the sunlight during the last vape break. This shows the brass just showing though underneath the power button. This E-Power 14650 has seen some serious use. I'm totally off cigarettes now.

i am still waiting for the epower, should be here tomorrow or next week.. at any rate, i have been using my ecig and buying disposable ones.. so far the best disposal is the CIGIREX. i tried this one called NJOY and it lasted half a day.

i got the epower today and i am good with the size, not an issue, i like that i can stand it up due to size.. Its the most amazing vaping ever.. I love this thing so much.. for just under 60 bucks, i got.. 2 batteries, 30ml menthol, 5 cartos (blank) , 5 cartridges,2 atomizer, drip tip and it looks like two extra basic drip tips that were on the cartridges..

now i went to use the carto can i had no idea that it was empty so i hope i didnot burn it out, because i put 8 or 10 drops of juice and it still does not work, but i think it is trying to burn something.. i dont want to keep adding juice if i already burned it out.. in the mean time i am using an atomizer with just the drip tip. i added two drops into the atomizer and put the drip tip on ( wonder if i can add juice without taking off drip tip each time) and smoke.. working great..

let me know if you can give me some advice on some of that stuff.

If you got it from CCV, it came with Resurrector cartos and these are large and hold a LOT of juice. You need to fill it the first time by the condom method to make sure the bottom is well saturated. 8-10 drops in one of these does nothing and the coil will burn out...

If it's an XL sized carto never fire it up until completely filled. If you got the E-Power 14650 from CCV it probably shipped with the Smoktech single coil 1.7 ohm LR XL. CCV calls it "Resurrector."

I posted this a few days ago for a vaper who underfilled a XL-sized carto. There are faster ways to fill a XL carto besides dripping, but dripping is a great way to get full saturation especially for those new to big cartos.

"You need just a hair under 2 ml or 50-60 drops of e-liquid to fill a dry Smoktech 510 XL carto. If you run a LR XL carto that is less than 1/2 filled you will burn the filler. Nothing can reverse this damage. The carto will always taste burned.

For beginners: just don't mess with condom filling a XL carto. For one thing, the silicon caps aren't going to hold 2 ml of juice. Drip fill the cartos or use a filling syringe.

To drip fill a dry Smoktech 510 XL carto:

a. Keep the carto off the PV. Remove carto caps and white plastic plug.

b. Drip 10 drops into the mouthpiece end of carto while holding the carto at a slight angle. Aim the drops so the juice lands between the outside edge of the filler and the inside of the carto tube. Rotate the carto 1/10 turn with each drop.

c. Stand the carto up, 510 base down on a piece of paper towel or Kleenex on your counter top. Let it sit for 30 seconds.

d. Repeat steps b and c.

e. Repeat steps b and c.

f. Repeat steps b and c.

g. Add 5 drops of juice, rotating carto 1/5 turn with each drop.

h. Repeat step c

i. Repeat step g.

j. Add three drops of juice, rotating carto 1/3 turn with each drop.

k. Repeat step c.

l. Repeat steps j and c until juice appears on the paper towel during step c.

m. Blot the bottom of the 510 connector dry with paper towel lor Kleenex. Hold carto up to light and look into coil hole in the middle of carto. If the hole is not clear, gently blow into mouthpiece end of carto until excess juice flows out onto a piece of Kleenex or paper towel. The XL carto is now completely filled.

You should never vape more than 1 ml of juice from a Smoktech XL carto before refilling. If you do you run the chance of overheating and burning the carto. "

I just fill a condom twice and then drip to top it off - it works well and is fast. I'm vaping on one right now that I just filled with this method and it's working AOK...

i thank you for the feedback and i am going to really look over the post you made. but i must say, i messed up that carto because i do taste a burnt taste.. i used the condom method right after i made that post. I used youtube to see how to fill.. now i get the vapor but it has that burnt taste, i guess i should just throw it out? i used about 20 or so drops so i guess i could kiss that one goodbye.. i was hoping the burnt taste would go away and i worry about what i am breathing in .. and yes it was the Resurrector and i did get from CCV

Yeah, ya not kidding...I got this info. today from cmdryker about the Resurectors:

remember these cartos I'm sending hold 55 - 70 drops, if do drop method to fill

They are a great match for the Epower and work very well. It's very thoughtful that CCV includes a juice delivery system that works so well with the unit they sell. Many vendors include crap that you can toss or doesn't work very well...
