Yeah that's the problem Kate I really don't get on with dripping so I want my carts to last more than they do with this. It's a shame though, I like the device. Good amount of vapour, easy draw and very discrete.

I'm going to give Brian's cartridge idea a go first before I make my mind up. With this thing looking like a pen I could get away with using it at my desk with the manual switch and holding my breath. Chewing a screwdriver in the office will probably attract more attention. :)

However I do have problems with cartridges, they don't keep atomisers wet enough for me.

I will say though Kate I have found an improvement in this with the new two hole atomiser strangely. The four hole works better dripped but I have been using carts for the last two days in the two hole and it has worked fine, I have also not experienced any strange tastes with the 2 hole.

Here ya go Trog..I mean I guess they are all compatible with that DX charger on the right and possibly all compatible with the USB-E cable for the KB, but the shorter KB battery is too short to charge in the Bling charger at the top. Weird how there are so many variations among the 4 purchases:

bugger , yeah forgot about the 12v input..still too late for that one now, it's gone to the happy landfill site in the sky.

Good job i got another model on order from DX tho .

btw , the battery i got with the janty e-usb cable i had was just plain blue one like the 2nd one down. wasn't all posh looking like the silver one.

Couple of questions:

-my USB adapter has completely stopped working. do I need to go find a charger for the battery, like in the post a few posts above mine? ^^^ I thought my PC would just keep the battery charged, but apparently I was wrong....do I need a charger, a new battery or a whole new USB adapter?

-my first atomizer died in about a week and a half. completely gone, no fizz no gurgle nothing. I've bought another one since then but after browsing around Janty's sit today I realized the dead one should still be under warranty (only been vaping for about a month now). Is there anything I can do to resurrect it, and if not, how do I go about getting a refund from Janty?

It is on the auto switch, which also has an LED that flashes. The manual switch has no LED and doesn't initiate a cleaning cycle. I have never, in months of use, had any problems with the cleaning cycle. I do not unplug the battery or attempt to stop it. I've never had any unpleasant taste, smell or otherwise and have always been puzzled by others who post of problems. Maybe I'm just fortunate with this Kissbox, but it works well.

I've never noticed my batteries autocleaning. Never. Unless you count the batteries that got stuck on and then died. But I don't think they are supposed to die after. :D

But I have often wondered if maybe the trick is not to take the battery off real quick, but to take off the cartridge real quick. I manually clean my penstyle atomizers using the KB manual switch, without the cartridge, and it works. Burns off the crud and leaves the vapor tasting clean. So the auto cleaning should work too, as long as you take out the cartridge.

LOL I'm using the manual switch....it really doesn't do self cleaning??? Ok then something is wrong with it (or with me)! I am having the same taste as all my other e-cigs when they clean. hmm maybe the button got stuck....I have noticed before that it does sometimes and maybe I didn't catch it this time hence the taste? I'm also not using a cartridge...I just drip because with the KB I've noticed all it did to my carts were burn them and I'd get a funny taste with that also.

Those switches can be hit and miss, I have had loads of replacements. I drip mine too and find that it tastes funny when it gets a bit dry, maybe check you're using enough eliquid.

My manual switch just failed yesterday ;( Are you using the USB plug? How do you like it? e-cig.com has a wall outlet adapter for the USB plug now. No more being tied to the computer.

@wajack: I don't think you get a replacement from the other members here, but you could try email your local JANTY dispatch :p

I have done this through Jantyusa.com, waiting for a response now. I woke up this morning to find my second atomizer dead. Now I have nothing to smoke. :( With this rate of hardware failure, it would actually be cheaper to go back to analogs.

Hi Brian, I use the USB cable with just charging and changing the battery, I don't plug it in. It's just a cheaper, better battery on a wire for me. These are the batteries I use - DealExtreme: $4.32 Ultra Fire 10440 3.6V 500mAh 2Pack And the charger - DealExtreme: $12.58 Ultra Fire 10440 14500 Ac Charger

Dealextreme do those adaptors, the UK version is here - DealExtreme: $4.28 1000mA USB AC Adapter (UK)

Hey thanks for the links. Already placed my order. I remember seeing those batteries on another thread but didn't realize what they were all about. So, I guess you don't even use the KB batteries any more, just the USB cable with the Ultra Fire battery? Guess you won't be needing a Screwdriver any time soon LOL. I finally broke down and ordered an extended KB after reading about the holiday sale. Thanks again.

Brian
