Update #2

Switching Atty's and flavor all appears to be good. Strong consistant vape and flavor across the board. I did run into an issue swapping the battery however, very difficult to replace the end cap and had to clean both the threads on the cap and within the unit the threading was off track but was able to get it back in with the cleaning. I did notice the light under the connector as has been commented on, and when trying to flip the battery (-side at end cap) produced no vapor.

Day 3: Using nothing but the laser. No button sticking, paint issues, or battery issues. Satisfying vapor.

If there were one thing I would want to change about it that would be to flatten the end cap. The slight taper to it looks nice but for me the convenience of being able to stand it on end would make it just slightly nicer.

It's hard for me to say if there is any significant loss of battery life due to the light inside, because I am here at the desk all day and therefore I just swap batteries every couple hours whether it is needed or not.

Isaac any chance of getting a summary of the device from the mystery modder himself. Obviously through you posting it here for him.
Just to help sum up:

_ exactly which battery was intended to be used
_in which direction the battery was intended to be placed
_whether there is a reason for the O-ring to be used even if the cap can screw in all the way without it
_the reason for the light being left in

Like I said I've had no problems with mine at all so far. But it just might help those who have if there is a list of those things clearly stated.

Mine was waiting for me when I got home last night. Thank you, Issac for allowing me to be part of the testing group. I have never tried any mod, have used a Volcano, M401, KR8, 510. Initial review:

---paint is a bit messed up but I plan to paint a rose on it anyway so no problem
---looked everywhere for that O ring until I figured out it was already on there, lol
---button works great for me, I can hear it pop when it releases and it doesn't stick, works just like my 510
---love the size and feel of it, not heavy or clunky
---easy to install the battery (I had to use a passthrough batt since Issac is out and I haven't found any yet that can get here quickly
---threads are off as others said, hard to put the end cap on properly
---mine has the slight taper on the end but still stands on end, I don't use that feature as I would surely knock it off
---vapor production is nice, not quite as good as my 510 but the atty isn't getting as hot as on my 510 which I like
---tried it with an atty and with a 510 cartomizer

Overall I like it so far but since I haven't tried the others, I have nothing to compare it to.

**NOTE, can anyone tell me how to remove the other battery from my passthrough without messing anything up. Nothing is loose to remove and I am afraid of doing damage.

Hey Thye, I'm sure he seen by now :D I'll ask him about it. He mentioned to me about the O ring, It's really much there because when he works on them, sometimes his hands get caught up on them. I'll find out more for you then. :)

Hey Rose, your passthrough, does it have a battery box somewhere inbetween the actual component and usb plug? Like this one? Janty USA - KISSBOX CLASSIC USB PASSTHROUGH

Ok problem with the threads on the battery cap cleared up. Hubby went to Lowes and came home with Noalox. Cleaned the threads with rubbing alcohol then put on a teeny tiny bit of the Noalox and the cap goes on much easier now. Yaaayyyyy

Getting hooked on the LVP2, only time I touched my Tornado today was when I was waiting for my battery to recharge. I have 4 unprotected batteries that will be here tomorrow, so no more waiting for one battery Yaaayyyyy Ok so hubby gets 2 of those 4 for his LVP1. I also have 2 protected batteries I am hoping get here by Saturday so I can try my luck with those.

Yes it has some small but very fixable issues, but what PV doesn't? Ok so maybe the Chameleon doesn't ;) All in all it is a good device. I'm very much enjoying using it and am thankful to Isaac for letting me participate. Can't wait to see what the opinion is after 2 weeks. I know mine is getting a heck of a workout. Been using the SLB 510 atty on it today and it's been vaping like a dream. The SLB pulls less power than the Joye attys so the battery went longer, which with as busy as I was today was a good thing. Today was a stressful day and I was hitting on it pretty furiously. One time I had the battery out charging it and I left the LVP2 hanging on it's chain around my neck. Well I picked it up and was pressing the button and hitting on it for about 10 minutes before I realized there wasn't anything happening. It still had flavor coming through, just no vapor or throat hit LOL.

Ok I have a very determined doberman here using his head to knock my hand from the keyboard. This is his way of telling me I need to come feed him.

    Happy Vaping!!

Just in case anyone is interested:Janty's batteries: Janty USA - STICK and charger: Janty USA - STICK

Since these look to be the basic blue bat, you might be just as well finding it for less, on line, but if you don't feel like digging for info, those links should help you out.

I am not very happy with the protected Trustfires, and from what I keep reading, these little 10440 batteries are not as volatile as some of the larger ones, with no real evidence of venting while being used, so I am going to stop worrying about whether they are protected or not. I just can't seem to find any more information about them, have gone to flashlight forums, and googled, and the data seems to steer back to the same point. The real trouble starts when you stack batteries, or have a problem with the charger itself. I will now have 2 10440 only chargers to use, and also the multi charger. I know the recent flair up of battery hysteria is easy to get swept into because we all want to be as safe as we can be, but until I find evidence that the single 10440 unprotected is having reactions in the mods, I just don't want to spend any more time fussing over it (personally) If anyone is able to come up with some tangible information I will be happy to hear it.

My LPV is still going strong on the same battery from yesterday. Over all I think this is a nice unit, and the complaints so far seem to be fairly minor. I still did not get an answer about the paint, if this is factory, or being done by the mod maker. Also what kind of paint is being used if it is being painted by the modder?

My button has not actually gotten stuck so far, it was acting a little funny at first, but I have yet to see it actually get stuck. I know with a new device I am probably being overly sensitive about every little thing while getting used to how it performs. I have had no misfires, and with the blue battery, I am not having any trouble installing or removing it, or getting the cap on. I also like the fact that I can see the light inside reflecting off the button when I am pushing it, so I know it's active. So far I would venture to say that if the paint job was a little better, this would be a nice model for sale IMO. I know it is still early in the game, so I won't get too carried away praising it, but I really like the size and function of this LPV. It is a nice cross between the bulky mods and the stock battery. I am very glad to be able to test and review it. Thanks again Isaac!

Mine works either way, but I get more vapor when the - goes in first toward the atty. I think the contact with the spring is better.

Yes I Have Noticed That This Way Is Better, Because More Contact To The Spring..I Am Getting GREAT Vapor & Taste..If Anyone Needs More Batterys I Have Also Found Multi Packs @ Dino Direct..Very Good Prices * Chargers

No box so I assume it can't be changed out. I ordered extra batts and a charger from Janty, hope it doesn't take forever to get here. Thank you to everyone who gave me links, sure saved time trying to find who carries the right batts/charger.

I am using the LPV2 on/off since I only have one batt. I am thinking the vapor production will increase a lot when I have a freshly charged batt. I love the button, it feels right. I hate the button on the (regular) KR8 so buttons are a big deal for me:)

Will report more later and can't wait to paint mine this weekend.

I don't see any that are protected (and I personally prefer protected, even when just using 1). Protected 10440's are cheaper from Madvapes than the unprotected ones here. I don't know about shipping times from Dino but MV has stuff to my door in ~3days which is very fast (almost Iken fast! :) )

Well I'll be damned!! I hadn't been able to notice that myself as I cover the button with my finger so even when I had tested it in the dark looking for light coming through around the atty I still hadn't noticed it on the button. I only see it when I'm pushing the button while looking down on the unit flat, not while vaping it but still it's there.

And agreed on the size of it.
