Since these look to be the basic blue bat, you might be just as well finding it for less, on line, but if you don't feel like digging for info, those links should help you out.
I am not very happy with the protected Trustfires, and from what I keep reading, these little 10440 batteries are not as volatile as some of the larger ones, with no real evidence of venting while being used, so I am going to stop worrying about whether they are protected or not. I just can't seem to find any more information about them, have gone to flashlight forums, and googled, and the data seems to steer back to the same point. The real trouble starts when you stack batteries, or have a problem with the charger itself. I will now have 2 10440 only chargers to use, and also the multi charger. I know the recent flair up of battery hysteria is easy to get swept into because we all want to be as safe as we can be, but until I find evidence that the single 10440 unprotected is having reactions in the mods, I just don't want to spend any more time fussing over it (personally) If anyone is able to come up with some tangible information I will be happy to hear it.
My LPV is still going strong on the same battery from yesterday. Over all I think this is a nice unit, and the complaints so far seem to be fairly minor. I still did not get an answer about the paint, if this is factory, or being done by the mod maker. Also what kind of paint is being used if it is being painted by the modder?
My button has not actually gotten stuck so far, it was acting a little funny at first, but I have yet to see it actually get stuck. I know with a new device I am probably being overly sensitive about every little thing while getting used to how it performs. I have had no misfires, and with the blue battery, I am not having any trouble installing or removing it, or getting the cap on. I also like the fact that I can see the light inside reflecting off the button when I am pushing it, so I know it's active. So far I would venture to say that if the paint job was a little better, this would be a nice model for sale IMO. I know it is still early in the game, so I won't get too carried away praising it, but I really like the size and function of this LPV. It is a nice cross between the bulky mods and the stock battery. I am very glad to be able to test and review it. Thanks again Isaac!
