Ok so this may be a bit overboard, but I just couldn't help myself :D Actually this is a compliment to the Mystery Modder. I put a few cheap nail art stickers on my 510 battery when I first got it, but other than that I haven't taken the time to decorate any other PV. Even my beloved Bartleby is bare. So this is probably now my most treasured PV. The Zebra LPV2 Necklace

This is the best stuff for aluminum IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. - Noalox Anti-Oxidant Compound.5 oz. Tube

other lubricants can pick up particles that actually wear the threads down in time.
Ahh! I'll order some to apply to every chameleon then! I carefully inspect each and every one from the caps to the threads. ;) Thanks Aspen, I know with your judgement there's no doubt.

Noalox is the best out there and will last what will feel like forever. It takes so little. I picked mine up at home depot-electrical isle, bottom shelf. The workers there had no clue what I was talking about and took quite a few minutes to locate, but I found it and made the purchase.

I have some Noalox, picked it up at Lowes, electrical bottom shelf. $2.50 for small tube of it. Stuff is great on aluminum .

Same exact place hubby said he found the tube he got for me. OX-Gard is another one that can be used. You can get the Noalox through Lowes.com also. What makes Noalox and OX-Gard better is they conduct electricity. Just don't use them on the treads of your atty as that would be a very bad thing. Only use it on the battery cap threads.

I could not find any Noalox in two cities. Granted one shouldn't even be called a city. Anyway, would Liquid Wrench Dry Lubricant work well? Thanks.

In your situation I guess its ok. Even dry lubricants collect dust and particles which is what grinds away aluminum plus the oxidizing is a big issue. Noalox slows the oxidation.

Hi aspen,

So it would be okay to use the dry temporarily? Just so I don't damage the threads and until I can find some Noalox.

I don't recall seeing any Ox-Gard (thanks WitchWay) either but at least I now know I could also use that.

Thanks Electricnut. I will use that. I am also thinking that WitchWay must know what she is talking about since she made that rechargeable cat. :D

ROFL there's your first mistake, I NEVER know what I'm talking about. However my information came from the hubby, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, but he DOES know what he's talking about and he's almost always right. Oh that hurt to even type it. He says that the Noalox and Ox-Gard will work the same. So if you can find either you are in good shape. He also said you should clean the threads and reapply it once a month.

As for the kitty, my daughter sent that to me LOL

That looks great, what did you use to put the stripes on? :D
I have often wondered why we don't see more "stylish" PV's

Thank you jam... though I just PMed you, I'll write here too for others. The stripes are a vinyl decal I made and applied to my black LPV2. So the white is vinyl and the black you see is the actual LPV2 surface. If all works out Isaac and Val may be selling some designs and vinyl covers so everybody can change and style out their PVs.

Love, love, love, absolutely love the zebra upgrade WW. That looks fantastic and what a professional looking job. I am so jealous of your talent here which leads me to the question of how can I attain this look? Does it leave an edge where it meets the chrome cone cap or is it so slight it doesn't matter? All I can say is wow, wow, wow just like a little kid who is stunned. :D

Thank you aspen... LOL don't be jealous, I actually got lucky that it turned out like it did. I made a lot of mistakes in both the template and the application. But I'm working on getting things fixed so it will be something anybody can do. It does go edge to edge. Here is a pic without the necklace so you can see the chrome cap better.

I know the beta had a bumpy start, but this is turning out to be a really nice PV. It's interesting to see how each person is adjusting to using it, now that they are getting broken in. I am growing fonder of it every day.
Exactly! The more I use it, the more I like it. It is great to see the changes and adjustments each of us is and has gone through. The beta test and this thread was a great idea. I also like the differences between all of us and our vaping levels and devices we have used. Nice spectrum of testers. I know all of us are thankful to Isaac and Val for letting us do this. Both of them are such wonderful people.

Thank you Thy and everybody that sent compliments. I haven't been around much for a couple days. Business is kicking our butts here, but that's a good thing. So I'm catching up all at once LOL

Hmmm skink? I don't think that would be a good name for the LPV2 ROFL. I have looked at lizard patterns though.

Ok the mailman finally got here today. I received my two protected batteries from MadVapes. They are UltraFire with blue labels. They are a few mm longer and slightly bigger round than the unprotected UltraFire batteries I have. Neither fit in the LPV2 but both fit in the LPV1. So hubby gets those and I get all the unprotected ones. So it seems it may be a hit and miss with the protected batteries and the LPV2.

Happy Vaping Everybody!!
