I have been using a Kick in mine since last September and has been going strong... I rigged mine up so I know I will always have a good connection. I used a piece of a corrugated fastener, (cut in half), and soldered it direct to the wire on one end and the Kick on the other. I also added a small piece of velcro between the Kick and the XL to keep the Kick stabilized so it wouldn't move around. 20121201_095848.jpg20121201_095825.jpg

I haven't weighed them but there is a big difference :)

The vmod also fits my hand size better.

The XL puts a real strain on my hand. I like the XL because of the bottle size compared to the vmod.

So, i am undecided on which is best so far.

Next month I want a mini Reo or maybe Reo Grand. Decisions, decisions!

added: and now i like the atty's :)

Question do you have small hands or large. My Gripper is a bit to small and the MVP is just about right. I've been courious about this question.

The Vmod XL without the top cone it's 3 5/8 in. tall, the width is about 1 3/4 in. wide and the thickness is about 7/8 in. The cone adds about 3/4 inch to the height where the connection is.

The weight difference is probably due to the fact that 18650 batteries are just naturally heavier than 14500. The weight of the units themselves (without juice or batteries installed) probably don't have much more than an ounce or so in difference with the weight.

OK kids, question time:

Internal leaking on the Vmod 2.0. Why?!

I bought mine at the end of March and it was just a dream. Lately it has been one problem after the other. If it isn't dry hits, it's massive flooding out of the top of the bottle when I squonk. Every time I remove the chassis, it's wet from e-liquid.

I've never washed it. I'm doing that now....soaking in some warm-hot water for a half hour until it de-gunkifies (neologism!). If I put it back together and it still underperforms, I might cry :(

Any other tips? Why would it leak out of the top where the bottle screws in?

Could be one of a few things.....

Check the neck of the bottle where it meets the bottle to see if there is a crack, hard to see sometimes without flexing the neck a bit while off the mod, squonking to hard leads to stress cracking at that point

Check to be sure that the little o-rings that fits in above the bottle and the one that's under the carto are still in place

hth! ;)

Thanks! I only bought one spare set of bottles and O-rings...replacing them all now.

There's an O-ring inside the atomizer cup about halfway down, and another at the base of the knurled ring that surrounds the atomizer. I don't see one near the bottle...? There is a clear silicone gasket shoved up there though...is that what you're talking about?

The only way those will fit onto a VMod is if one takes off the cone, the other metal tubie thing, and puts in a shorty 510-510 extention. But it works. Kinda.

Yep...that would be it. They include a spare one when you get extra bottles. From what you're saying, it really does sound like the bottle is cracked or has a hole in it or something like that.

I've found those blue o-rings last quite a long time, so I'm guessing it was the bottle or the bath. Great you got it worked out.

I also found this:

Vapage Community | Blog about e-Cigarettes

It shows what a Vmod chamber would look like if cut in half. :p And, it has pictures and such on how and where to replace the o-rings.

Those are super-helpful, thanks!

Another question: Do you guys think there is a VG/PG ratio that works best in the Vmod? My REO I find works best with thicker VG juices (it has Gorilla juice in it right now). The Vmod is less finicky but I think it also feeds more smoothly with thicker juices. I can't vape high-VG too much though, it gives me the perma-phlegm discussed earlier  I use high-PG in my Genesis tanks so it more or less evens out.
