It's bothering me that Glaxo Smith Kline, and Pharma companies are speaking like they need to be in charge here, Ecigs came out and have been working with NO Big Pharma ever involved for about 4yrs now, Big Pharma is not needed for ecigs at all in my opinion, and its time the small mom & pop shops are allowed to make money as well,, I wished someone would stand up and say we dont need big Pharma in the ecig game at all to make it work, as well as it has been working like this for 4yrs or more without them. I hate the fact that Big Pharma could take over ecigs, or big tobacco.

Edit: now its happening, go Mark Anton :)

I haven't finished reading the whole thread yet, but I want to stop and comment on the "confrontational" concerns...

First of all, you should all be glad I wasn't speaking, because I would be using cuss words.
And my theme would be "FDA and Big Pharma, should they be tried for murder?" so yeah, confrontational for sure.

We have plenty of qualified people speaking up on our behalf who play the nicey-nicey game with them.
But if you ask me, we also need people to show them that we are ...... off and ready to stand up and shout about what's really going on!

This is our lives here people, not some fun little game of words.

We need to put a little bit of fear into them or they will walk all over us with impunity.
So yeah, I'm all for "confrontational" because it is long overdue and sorely needed.

He's doing better than most vendors (although he is still off on points) and I'm actually surprised the panel asked a question. But I've actually been a bit surprised that the panel has given as much consideration to comments about e-cigs at all. It's kind of like speaking about requiring motorcycle helmets at a hearing about proposed automobile air bag regulations. They are related in a way but not what the panel is there to hear about. It's still good that these things are being said because it is being recorded and many of the people hear will be involved in e-cig regulation in the future. I was just afraid they'd brush him off.

Man - I've been trying to keep up with this all day but just get bits and pieces... Can someone tell me what's going to happen to the current ecig shops, ejuice and when it may become effective? Should i stock up tonight, in a week, a year?

Thanks!
This hearing isn't about e-cigarette regulations so not to worry.
