I couldn't help but notice that MINI has ceased ops temporarily (COVID-19), yet is:

(a) still accepting new orders
(b) not automatically refunding any existing orders.

SMH...
They shut down around March 27th. Cases are back from being anodized and some of the boards are soldered up and ready and all stopped.

Conversely, I placed an order for a Warlock on 30-Apr, and it's in transit now, arriving on Monday (18-May). Built in and shipped from Italy.

It stuns me that MINI is still doing business like it's 2014. Whatever. If it's workin' for 'em, who am I...

Xvos still rule my SbS world, so there IS that.

Although this one, weighing in at a whopping 71 grams, might give them a run for the money. We shall see.

Conversely, I placed an order for a Warlock just now last one i think...:thumb::matrix:

Well, I certainly can't vouch for the mod yet, Noodles, since I've not yet held it. My intent was just illustrating the point that MINI seems stuck in yesteryear. That being said, I'm thrilled to be in such good company now. :thumb: :)

I hope we like it.

Nautilus GT is sussposed to be 24mm

The air flow control sticks out about a 1mm which stops it fitting

I never understood companies that spec their tanks as Xmm wide when the AFC ring makes it Ymm wide. Like as if the AFC ring doesn't count  lol.

That's like the Taifun GTII. People call it a 22mm atty, but it's a 23mm atty. You realize that when you try to use it on a mod that has a protruding battery cap right next to the 510. It's a 23mm atty FFS! lol The only "salvation" being that if you want to vape it on all 5 airflow holes, then you can take off the AFC and now you DO have a 22mm atty lol. But you can't do that with most AFC rings.

"A vaper's lament." ;):D

Thanks, @ShowMeTwice . SO many SbS's out there these days, but none really made my knees knock. This one did the trick for my very particular tastes. I got the Dicodes one with a front button, all graphite (perfect color for me).

I guess I'll know soon enough, and yes, I'll post a pic (or 300 ).

This is another pic that the modder posted, but with the SS bottom/low-lock. I opted for the all graphite version to reduce the weight (from 80 grams to 71), which was a key reason I chose to invest in one.

The pics make them look bigger than they are. In reality, they're about the size of an Xvo, but only half the weight (Xvos are 150g).

Time tells all. I wait.

So this message was good/bad for me. Bad in that I did a facepalm since I never even thought of doing this. Good in that I'm one who uses all holes open and am now enjoying one of my favorite atties on top of (beside of?) my favorite mods. Thumbs up for you, sir!

I'm happy to see my post helped someone. I thought I was the only person in vapeland still using the Taifun GTII. lol

I have some great newer atomizers, but I also have some ancient ones that still build and perform so well they're still in daily use. The GTII is one, along with a Byka V6 and a Hurricane 1.3. New doesn't always mean better, particularly when the old things really were exceptional.

But things are not always cotton candy and rainbows. The Hurricane may be relegated to a stash drawer if I can't find a replacement tank soon. Though the metal lasts forever, the stuff attached to it doesn't and modmakers move on.

Of course, there is another solution if you don't like the look of the tank without the AFC. If you use one of these 22mm a 510 heat sinks then you can keep the AFC on as the tank will then clear the battery cap. But you'll have to remove the tank every time you want to change the battery.

I use one of these to put a 25mm atty on my Pico Mega (which is a 22mm mod). It kinda looks silly because the tank is wider than the heat sink, but not by much.

After waiting for 14 1/2 Months I give up. Cancelled my order with them. Now in the waiting for a refund. phase and looking for something in the same price range with no more then 3 week delivery time. Good luck to those that are still waiting. Stay at home is lifted there but now it seems they have no one to assemble as the person they have is high risk to Covid 19 and they do not have anyone qualified to assemble and test.

That's absolutely horrid, and inexcusable. :(

Did they mention how long the refund would take?

I cancelled my order in January after over a year of waiting and it took roughly a week to get refunded. I then ordered the Minion V3 Compact from Tek-Division and received that in roughly two weeks. I did order the battery extension tubes with it to be able to use 18350, 18500, and 18650 batteries. It only takes up to 22mm tanks, 23 if it's an exact 23. He does have other sbs mods that can fit larger tanks, not sure on availability.

His Horizon is coming out very shortly, and takes up to 25mm. Very nice mod (IMO).
