Here are a few tips that can help.

1 Premade wires no extra length but more costly

2 Silver Crimp Beads. See the video above I have used them on and off. Only thing I don't like about them is they melt at a lower temp so dry burns are a no no. They can also be fiddly but with practice they work well/

3 Wrapping the joined section around the wick as well. Drawback is space if you like more wraps you may not be able to fit it inside the ceramic. Also because the joined section is usually 3 wires thick it can be a bit stiff so a bit fiddly

4 Use tools for the wraps. Allows for a tighter more secure wrap with less length possibly helping to keep the joints inside the ceramic. I personally use 2 pairs of needle nosed pliers. I wrap the 2 then trim the wrapped section to be very short and fold the nr wire over and wrap again. This makes the joined sections very small and I usually fit them in the top channels before the bend down.

5 only use 1 nr wire. Much more effective with the V2 Ody and Penelope (any version) benefit is because you only have 1 joined section it is easier to fit it in the top.

I personally mostly use method 4 although I have reciently started playing around with mixing 4 and 5 to have 1 very small tight joint with only res wire going into metal side of the channels. This seems to work wellish but unfortunatly since my multimeter is on the fritz I havn't been able to really do an ohm to ohm comparison.

Guys, I have 2 small questions. First of all I like the new device that connects wires. But I am wondering:

1. why you post this device on GG forum without a permission. I am asking this because you know that I am already making ready wires and this device is against my sales.
2. The person on the video didnt mention that connecting R and NR wires was my idea to let people work very easy with long wires instead of trying to connect very short wires with very small distances between posts. He just said that its a device for ceramic atomizers, something that is totally incorrect.

So if you want to post something like this on GG forum, you have to ask for permission first (that I almost always give to people that ask me for permission like I gave my permission to some people that asked me to use my button and my telescope and my connector etc on their devices)

The only that I would like to see is some respect if you agree. I dont want to act like a teacher all the time, its not my style.

Yes specially with silver ..you can take the lighter and heat the connection part red hot 2/3 times ...you will get a much better connection

Ive thought of doing that, but thought that the silver would melt, I wonder if it is a good thing if it sort of melts them together? I think I will try that out. I sometime notice that the wires pull apart when Im wrapping them around my wick.

Manos, my post was not about you buddy. I know that your intensions are always good and you are my friend a long time ago and a loyal customer too. I was talking about Diver that didnt even said a "good evening" on GG forum even if he knows where he posts, not a "thank you" to me or to the rest of people that post here. He just came here to say that we will hear about him in a few days.

Diver, I am sure that you are a good person even if I dont know you at all. But if you think a little better you will see that I am right on this.

And I was also talking about the person on video. He said nothing at all about GG series that brought the "connecting wires" trick for atomizers.
Honoring someone that brought in the past something new to the market is good for everyone and shows good character and respect.

There is no future forgetting the past

Hi Imeo

I have a part in this aswel ..I was excited about this machine cos I like to do my own wires for the resistance that I like ...
I know you have pre-made "and I have some aswel" but they are not for everyone either ! Still this was not an intensional or out of respect towards you Imeo .. I understand your point and you are right ..so my apologies aswel for this ..cos Diver came to introduce him self cos I asked about e product and who makes it.
Exept my apologies for this.

Yes I know ..just don't use a burner , use just a lighter ..and when you light the connection point ..make sure when it gets red stop ...do this 2/3 times or how much you like and ull get a better connection .... Just don't over heat cos it melts.

I use a torch without the silver NR melting. As long as flame doesn't hit the twist connections, just the resistance wire glowing red.

Diver, apology is accepted. ok, you machine looks very interesting and it will help people to connect their wires easy. To my opinion the interesting part is not that wires are connected easier because twisting wires is easy. But you will have small connections and thats what I liked on this machine.
Sorry for all this . I feel very bad.
Yes , you are right , my mistake .
I had no bad intention . But it happened . And I can't take it back .
And English language is not helping me..............

Have a nice 2013

Yes ..but the point was to make the silver no-res wire binds better with res wires .... So the connection needs heating up to better bind the silver " for me at least" and when I used a torch to do so , I ended up melting the silver wire ..instead now I use a lighter ...which heats up the silver and res ..hance a much better connection ;) .

Yup. I torch the R wire, R wire glows and also heats up NR wire and twists fuses. Works for me.

What do you guys think of this method for splicing the wires, minus the soldering of course:

I might try this with my next setup (with needle-nose pliers so it's nice and tight)

The only issue I see is that all of the nichrome wire might heat up, so there would be non-coil wire heating.. that probably wouldn't be good, right? Or would there be too much resistance there to heat up? Not sure how that would work...

Subver. That method works well only if both NR and R wires are of same gauge and hardness. If you use silver NR wire which is very soft, only the soft silver will twist on both sides leaving the stiff R wire straight and can be pulled out.

What if one were to use pliers or somehow get it so the harder nichrome wire did wrap around the silver wire? Would all of the nichrome heat up or just the coil? Thinking about it now I assume only the coil would heat up, because in a standard wrap the nichrome doesn't heat up where it's wrapped with silver, right?
I'm trying to think of a better way to twist the wires so they wrap evenly, despite the soft silver..
