samysam1313, you can call me anything you want. hahahahaha :D

That's so cool that you're catching on to all this! Remember, this is only the beginning. You'll only get better and better. Now, after you've perfected the 510, take a hard look at the other 'mods' like the Janty Stick, if big vapor is your thing. I love my Janty Stick so much I just ordered another.

As for juices, I'm convinced this just takes time. You're lucky to have a supplier right there, for both the 510 and juices. What I'm hoping is that I can find 'that perfect juice' and just use it exclusively. But I do understand a desire to have different flavors too.

My experiment with just VG and no nicotine hasn't worked out too well. Because I slipped up and craved a flavor....pear lung juice. So I'll have to start that experiment again one day. I'll let you know when.

I'm so glad you've finally got a PV and have given it preliminary approval! You'll learn in short time how to get a good flavor and big vapor, and then hopefully make the switch for good. For me it was easy, because I couldn't inhale the cig any more, and like you, I found the PV easy and smooth to inhale. You can certainly control the throat hit with these too.

Keep reporting back!

As long as I don't call you "late for dinner" Hehe.

Don't know if lots of vapor is my thing or not yet, but I'm sure looking forward to experimenting. You know, I feel better already. Can believe it.

I only got my cheapy ecig yesterday and it was enough to convince me to order my 510. I was so lucky too. I was thinking of getting it from E-Cigarette-Mart in China as they had the best price. Till I just happened to click on a link in the Canadian forum for HappyVaper. Turns out they had a kit for everything and the total cost was the same as if I got it from China. No duty to pay and no worries about whether it will make it through customs. Plus he has all the supplies. I even got the Passthrough and the Charging Case/Box. He has a special kit called the "Kit and Kaboodle. Has everything. That's what I ordered. I am so thrilled and that's not something I experience often. Plus he is local. He was so nice and we emailed back & forth all night. He answered all my questions. I didn't even finish ny order till this morning and he already has it mailed and I should have it tomorrow. He even did the 8 hr charge of the batts for me. The only thing I can't get from him is the nicotine but he gave me his source, so I will get some. Will use it till i can wean myself off.

You mentioned about the VG and no nicotine. The nicotine isn't that bad. It's the other ingredients in cigs that are. I get the idea your trying to push yourself. Take your time and enjoy it. I plan to. I'm thinking it might be easier than I ever though to quit the real cigs. I don't inhale either. That's why the throat hit is not as much a factor for me. I'm just glad I'll have something I can hold and puff on without it making me worse. And already I think it will make me better. I can feel it already. There must be some truth to PG having microbial properties. All I know right now, is that I am more hopeful than I have been in a very long time and I am excited about all this. I haven't been excited about anything in a long time. Except a couple of months ago, I took a chance and bought a robot vacuum on sale. Next to my ecig, it is the best thing I ever bought. All I do is push a button and it does all the work. It works better than any regular vacuum. Even central vacs. Everyone should get one of these. Even does under the beds and sofas. Try doing that with a regular vac. Love that thing. My floors have never been so clean. Best dust collector I've ever seen too.

I will keep you all posted. I'm also on the Canadian forum and was thinking of starting a thread on my experiences as I go along. Mainly for newbies. To help them get the idea of what it's like. I've been told I'm pretty good at expressing subjective things like emotions in writting, so I though I might try. Can't hurt. And if it helps someone, then all the better.

Can't wait till tomorrow.

Wow, I came to the forums tonight to ask this exact question.
I was curious as to whether people felt they could breathe better or if inhaling something is inhaling something and still messes with the breathing.
The order was placed today for my first starter kit and I was excited.
Seeing so many people claiming to breathe better now has me in official, "It hurts to wait." mode.
I hope that I will be lucky enough to breathe better when I start vaping.
Afterall, if I can breathe better, I can breathe better.
Here's hoping to stepping up the performance!

Jodans. I'm new to all this too. But have done a lot of reasearch and lots of reading in the forums. The news is very encouraging. It's probably a good thing to take a wait and see attitude so that there is no big disappointment. However, it sure all sounds really positive so far. My kit should be here tomorrow and I can relate to your "It hurts to wait." mode. Good way to put it. I'm also hoping to "step up the performance". Please keep us posted on your experience.

samysam1313, Okay....tomorrow! Are you ready? And are you remembering you gotta puff long and slow, not hard. Long and slow....long and slow. Don't forget!

And as soon as you notice no vapor, it's either time to top-off with some more juice, or see if the end of the 510 is blinking, which means time for a battery change. Vape 2 or 3 times and give it a rest for a few seconds...a little rest now and then keeps it from getting too hot. The 510 doesn't get hot as quickly as the 901, and the Janty Stick just doesn't get hot. I vape this thing all day.

I'm back on my no nic no flavor diet. It's fine. No problemo. I'll keep this up for a couple of days and see how it goes. Probably okay, but I'll prolly crave a flavor :)

Good luck tomorrow. I'd give my eye teeth to be there with you! :D

Two things for the 510 megabattery. You might try changing to a fresh battery as soon as a topoff does not bring back the lung hit. Not wait till the battery is dead. You might try keeping two loaded 510's so you can switch off when one gets to hot.

Just my two cents.

:) Dave

Hi folk. I remembered. Long and slow. I was so excited. The darn mail man didn't even bother to knock and I had to go pick it up. I hadn't even slept yet, so was pretty tired. I stayed up to play with this thing. I just love it. I can't believe how much better my breathing is already. I'm having to remember to take my puffers. Normally my body lets me know when I need them. I still need a few real cigs since I don't have any nicotine. Gotta get some. I can even inhale with this thing and it doesn't hurt a bit. I'm really surprised with my breathing improvement . So quickly. I usually get up and have to hack and cough for a long time to get rid of all the crap in there just so I can breath and I need the puffers to open it all up just so I can hack it up. Not today. I hardly had any cough and almost no crap to cough up. Unbelievable. I wish I could have found out about all this a long time ago. Like Darkest said. It's wonderful. I can actually see me quitting the real cigs now; something I never thought possible before.

Thanks folk. I can hardly believe it myself. It's not like I didn't believe what everyone was saying, but there's nothing like trying it for yourself. Trying something and only reading about it are worlds apart. I will get some nicotine, just not sure how long it will take to get here or if it'll make it cross the border. Haven't found any in Canada yet. Jack at HappyVaper is where I bought all my stuff but he doesn't have anything with nic in it either. He himself has to get it Stateside. I guess if he can get it cross the border, so should I. Experimenting with some Samples I got from him. Only some of them are pretty potent and the taste stays on the atomizer. Can't really taste the milder ones. Will have to clean my carts to really taste the more subtle ones. The booklet says to rinse with water, but don't know if that will really remove the taste of the strong ones. Tried the RY4. Not crazy bout that. Tastes like tobacco in a can smells. Not the same as smoking it in a real cig. So I haven't yet tried the other tobacco flavors. Will have to test and see if I can get the taste out of the atomizer first. The Cappaccino is nice, but a bit too flavourful for all day. Makes a good desert. The Chocolate is really nice. Mild too. I'm gona get a big bottle of that one. I tried Dripping PG & VG on the atomizer to see if that helps clear the taste of the stronger flavours. Seems to be helping, but takes some time to really get rid of the flavours. I'm starting to get use to the Manual Switch. Think I'd like to get an automatic as well. but may have to try another model since the 510 ones are a bit too sensitive and turn on by wind or noise.

Thank you for being happy for me. You are sooo sweet. I am very happy about all this too. This thing is the best invention since sliced bread. Hehe. I just love it.

As for my Puffers. A Puffer is an Inhaler. Like the ones Asmatics use. I have one like that called Sabutamol. It's a Bronchial Dilator and opens up the airways. The other two I have are in powder form. They are Steroids and reduce inflamation. One is Spiriva and is in a capsule that you have to put in a little dispencer that pierces the capsule and there is a mouthpiece that you inhale the powder through. Use that one once a day. The other is called Pulmicort and it comes in an inhaler that you have to turn the bottom knob on it then inhale through the mouthpiece. I take 2 puffs twice a day.

You know what's really special? When I got up, I had to remember to take my puffers. Didn't feel like I really needed them. That never happened before. Usually I get up and hack and cough to try to get the flem out so I can breath properly. I have to take the puffers to get my bronchials open enough to do that and even then it doesn't all clear out. This is like a miracle. I read the reports from Tropical Bob and the New Zealand test results about PG, but I'm thinking there is more to it. People are posting about COPD, Asthma and other breathing problems that have gotten better since vaping, so that's more than just antibacterial. Emphasema isn't a bacteria or germ, so how come I breath so much better? There's something else going on here obviously. And it works so fast. I noticed a big difference after only one day and that was with the cheap crappy one I got from China. I'm going to have to tell Tropical Bob about my experience.

Thinking of starting a thread dedicated to my experiences as I go along for people thinking of trying ecigs or those new to it like me. I'd post it here and in the Canadian forum as well. Might help them decide to try ecigs or maybe even just help to clarify some things for them. If and when I do start this thread, I'll let ya know. I haven't really had time yet. Been too busy playing with my 510 and emailing Jack at HappyVaper. He's been very helpful.

Sorry folk. Short questions; long answers. Better quit before someone complains I'm writting a book. LOL. Later.

samysam1313, you're experiencing the very same things I did. I couldn't believe that within only 24 hours I was breathing easy. I thought it would take a long time, if it happened at all. Actually, I just saw the e-cig as an alternative to smoking that would put a halt to the damage smoking was doing. I sure didn't expect instant benefits!!! What a wonderful surprise that was!

Your quote above....I want to know all that you find out about COPD/Emphasema and what changes happen, if any, after one quits smoking. I heard somewhere a couple of years ago that the damage already done is permanent but I'd like to have more information about it. I hope that's wrong info.

I know what some of your puffers are. You're right, you won't really feel much of a need to use them any more. Is that not amazing? Even with not inhaling those smokes, you needed the puffers anyhow. It's nice not to have to depend on those any more for your very life.

Your new thread sounds like a good idea, be sure to tell us when you do it. I come here every day and look at the new posts though. Well, this is no longer all a mystery to you. And it just gets better as you experiment with juices and different PV devices. I love my Janty Stick and just ordered a Super-T, which is brand new so there are really no reviews yet, but I really like the looks of it, the safety features, and the power (up to 6V). I'll be sure to let you know what I think, but it'll take 4 or 5 weeks to receive it. (Edit....there ARE some reviews of the Super T....in the manufacturers section of his forum. I think people have been receiving them now for a couple of months)

Carry on and enjoy your day! And your new life!!! :)

Hi again folk. I'm not looking to stop smoking either. Just want a healthier alternative. Need to get rid of the smoke. :nah:

I'm far from an expert about Lung Diseases. I went to look at what Emphasema really is. (just googled it) I never did before. Guess I was to scared to look. But now I did and while looking through some info I came across a report about a deritive of Vit A called Retinol A (something like that) that was tested on mice. They administered a drug to baby mice that would prevent their lungs from developing. When these mice got to adulthood, they could hardly breath. (Poor little things 8-o). Anyway, they gave these mice this Retinol A and their lungs began to develop and the mice could breath. Apparently this Retinol is a drug in Acne Medicines and Creams. Then I read another thing where it said they could not reproduce these results. So who knows. Interesting however. I was considering asking my doctor to give me some of this medicine. Doubt he would. Anywho, there isn't supposed to be a cure for things like Emphasema and COPD, but you never know what they will come up with. Human Growth Hormones are supposed to be helpful for a lot of things, but it's still very experimental and very expensive. I'm not a Conspiracy Theorist, but I do believe it is very possible there are cures out there that are being squashed by Big Pharma. They don't want you to be cured so you can keep buying their meds. I truly believe that. It's always about money. I have reasons to believe this, but it's too long to go into here.

Any info I find about Lung related issues I will definitely post. Or any other health related issues as well. I will let you know when I do start my thread. Been too busy with my new 510  and experimenting and catching up on my sleep. Take note though. I haven't quit smoking yet. I have cut down drastically though. No nicotine juice yet. Gonna order some fast. But the improvement is superb considering I am still smoking.

I am happy with my 510 and don't know that I need a high powered ecig. Not yet anyway. Heard about and seen the Janty Stick, but not the Super T. Don't those just burn more juice faster?

Will keep you posted. Hope you will too. Got to go out. Later. :D

Samysam1313: congrats on your new E-cig experience.
You sure know how to make a man that was trying to wait patiently run to the shipping companies and start yelling, "Where's my package!?"
Very glad that it seems to be easing your chronic conditions.

Hi Jodans. LOL. Sorry bout that. I know just how you feel. I ordered my 1st one from Deal Extreme on Sept 11 and didn't get it till Sept. 29. Long hard wait. If I had known what I know now, I wouldn't even have bothered with that one. I ordered my 510 from Jack at HappyVaper and it got here the next day. Plus he's local (Richmondhill, Canada). Got all the supplies for DIY too. Didn't cost any more than if I'd ordered from China. Only thing he doesn't have is the nicotine.

Thanks for caring. I hope this will help all and especially those with lung problems.

I gave up smoking for a year about 18 years ago and at that time I went swimming every day after work...my lungs capacity did improve but it was slow and not really very much at all. I have been vaping for 10 months and I really don't know if it's just imagination but I keep thinking my lungs are improving far quicker than they did all those years ago when I just gave up smoking. I am going out cycling every day this time.
