I bet that was something! I would've been terrified out of my mind in that situation. Apparently, my orthopedic is really good as well. I've had soooooo many customers ask me who was treating me & all I've heard are great reviews. One even said he's the 'doctors doctor' as in many of the doctors won't let anyone else but him treat their orthopedic issues. That made me feel pretty good.

Sounds like you should redo your vacation in the future:)

Oh it was still an excellent vacation. I spent a week in the hospital (US would have kicked me out with same day surgery I bet) with a smoking balcony and a gorgeous view, there was a beer garden down below in a beautiful garden with fountains and statues, afternoon tea was served, a therapist came by each day and gave me a massage... Awesome hospital stay!

When I left there I visited all over France, Germany, Czech Republic and Austria. I missed my week in Venice but the other 5 weeks were great. I hope to go back for another 6 week or so vacation though. I spend an average of 4 years saving and planning then off I go.

Nite Nite Bobbi. It was good chatting with you for a bit:wub:

I couldn't resist I had to share pics from my hospital room. We had two lounge chairs and a table with an ashtray on the balcony. The gift shop sold wine, beer and cigs along with the other things gift shops sell. The gifts for a new baby were baskets with a baby outfit, 2 wine glasses, a bottle of wine and a cheese tray! Where were these when I had kids???

The lights in the night picture are a ski jump where they hold international ski competitions, the reason for a top orthopedic hospital to be in such a small town.

I'm glad you shared! I would've never imagined a hospital stay could be so beautiful!

Looks like you got injured in the perfect place!

I have thousands of pictures of the places I have been between my 2 trips. I also have a file of places to go the next time. I start planning and saving as soon as I get home! Hope one day soon to do it again, this time I will plan a stop to visit Welsh and see Wales if all goes well. :)

Best to enjoy this, my room at Mt Saint Michele, France. A tiny island with an awesome church.

It looks wonderful! Ahhhh a nice huge bed too! I bet it was beautiful!

Hehehe! Yes! But I'm sure that mis-step made the trip a lifetime a trip you'd never be able to forget:)

When I'm able to travel abroad I know who to ask about the places I should visit.
