Very enjoyable ...

On Saturday we went to a friends BBQ/campfire with all the usual BBQ suspects (burgers, potato salad, etc) and of course no campfire would be complete with out some toasty s'mores!

Sunday we showed our respects by marching in the parade with the scouts, then headed over to my folks for another BBQ with chicken and corn on the cob.

Monday we had a lazy day off just laying around, it was pretty hot, but we did go for a nice evening stroll to the park with the doggies

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!

The E Huge, oh man would I give my left......, anywho, my weekend was great, besides almost getting my toe chewed off by a pitbull. I was invited to a barbeque, the first of the season for me, live in Maine. It was at a friend of a friend's, never been there before. I show up, say my hi how are you's and out of the corner of my eye I see a pitbull barreling down at me, I tried to get out of there, but the little ....... got hold of my big toe(and luckily alot of leather)and I thought for sure it was a goner I haven't even settled into the barbeque mind you, just arrived, to make a long story short, the owner not so gently persuaded the animal to let go. Why the wretched creature chose to attack me, unknown, I have a fear of dog's perhaps that is what he sensed, I don't know. Luckily, I still have a big toe, and an even worse fear of dogs than I already had. The chicken and ribs were however great, but not worth the scare. Many beers later, the toe felt not bad. I guess the moral of my weekend, is ask if there are dogs there, and don't wear sandals. How was your weekend!

It was a great holiday weekend for us. Hung out with friends and family - and friends of family :) I was able to avoid cooking and bbq work by bringing beer and soda and some chips. The weather was perfect and had time to reflect and appreciate. Hope everyone here had a great Memorial Day weekend.

TY for the contest!

Well I was out of town working for the previous 46 days, so I got back into florida on friday, spent saturday with a friend who live about 3 hours north of me, then finally made it home on saturday unpacked and just relaxed doing as little as possible to unwind, watched a few ball games and the race.

thanks for the contest
good luck everyone

Not a good one but each year is the same except less parents still alive to call letting them know, I remember their sons and that we fought together back in the day.
being the last one standing just reminds me what we lost back then and how now it seems no one even cares to remember, this is just another long weekend for most.

My weekend was relatively uneventful and quiet, but that's just the way I like it. Played some games, watched some movies, and just yesterday checked out Mike's video about the e-Huge, which looks awesome! I want one! :)

edit: btw, I'm getting a lot of use out of the Nimbus clone I bought from you folks a while back, and it's wonderful. Thanks again!
