Mark Bugs Bottom Feeding Rebuildable Atomizer (prototype) initial impressions

What's the recommended setup for these? What's the best wick for them? Best gauge of wire? Brands?

Without some guidance, I'm gonna end up trying a kleenex with the twist-tie from a bread bag wrapped around it.

From what i've read, i'm guessing Kanthal and stainless steel mesh is the way to go for rebuildables in general. Not much info out there about the Chalice specifically.

Long read, but tons of useful information. I'm starting out with candle wick on mine and will experiment from there.

I use 34ga Kanthal-A, and silica wick like what comes with the original Mark-T. I absolutely love it.

Try Cotton guys it works excellent and doesn't burn once you wet it with the juice, puts out fantastic flavor, been using it for a while now on some of my RBA's and tanks.

I have only tried cotton once. I think I got the completely wrong kind though. It said it was 100% organic cotton yarn, but it was an off white color. I was... less than happy. I thought about trying again with the cotton candle wick, but I am still trying to find what would be best.

This is my plan after doing some looking into it, cotton wick and 34 gauge nichrome. Looks like I can load up for about 5 bucks on ebay.

I think natural cotton is off-white, and they bleach it to make it pure white.

Ok is kanthal or nichrome better ? And is cotton core wick pure cotton ? I can't seem to find the info on it.

Nah! Just dip it in some ejuice or straight VG and burn 'er a couple of times. That should do it.

As an aside... My husband is making me a bottom feeding setup, and we had a thought... Usually when juice leaks out of an atty, it is from the air holes on the sides of the bottom connector. Since the Chalice has an air hole in the side of the body, does it have those holes in the connector? My thoughts are that if it does not have those holes, I probably wouldn't need a drip well on my bottom feeder.
