Ok so I took the coil off the wick that came with the Chalice (it's obviously much too thin because it took me around 20 minutes to put the coil through the holes).

The first time I wrapped it, it measured 7.7ohms Yup, really awful job done by me. So I took the coil off and I'm not really sure what I did with it but this time it read 3.3ohms.

Does this remotely look anything like it's supposed to look?

Try to have your coils closer but they cant be touching the other wire or it they will short, hmm 7.7ohm ? Really what wire are you using ?

Walmart has THIS cotton yarn in plain white that works great.

Walmart also has THIS crochet thread that works great. Get the size 3. It's about the same size as 1mm silica wick.

You can get THIS candle wick on eBay cheap. Works great, but it's a little thicker. You would want the #1/0

Thanks I will make a run to Walmart this week. I may have some candle wick around here from way back but need to do some digging. I got tons of wick and wire of all types but wont to try the Cotton out.

If you have cotton wick around already, make sure that it is unprimed... You do not want to vape a wick with wax or anything else in it.

Most people suggest boiling it to remove any sizing that might be on it. I don't boil it, but I do drip some plain VG on the new wick and do a couple "wet burns" before I vape with it.

Got it Doing the happy dance.

Fired it up using the standard with and wire. Not bad at all.

Came set at 1.8-1.9 set the VVG at 4.2 its vaping like a monster.

Easy to juice. It looks like you can not flood it. juice just runs back down the tube.

I would sugest and I do this every day. Change out your bottles when you refill this will keep any carbon from backing down in to the bottle and building up. Not sure if this will happen with this atty but it will be keeping a close watch on it over the next few days.

Love the draw its just right. flavor is good should get better as the wire brakes in.

I will play with new wick and wire latter this week after I run this through its paces.

I will post photos latter this evening. I did take the metal DT off, I am not a fan of matel DT's but it is a nice DT.

ok so my Provari is reading 2ohms when I check the atty. I dripped some VG on it and fire to test it out. It crackles and the wire is turning dark brown but I don't see any coils getting red. Am I just not firing it long enough? I had an atty pop in my eye once so I've ever since been traumatized of popping another one.

The coils will never glow while they are wet. If it reads 2ohms and produces vapor, it's good.

EDIT: In fact, if you are using cotton, you do NOT want the coils to glow. Glowing coils = burned cotton = BAD taste.

I tried to vape it but haven't gotten any flavor. I think I need to burn some of the VG off.
