Really enjoying the Chalice with SS wick and Copper Creek "Banana Cake"

I tested out the chalice in all my REOs yesterday. It fit fine and was great in my VV Woodville. All of my others it would barely catch or not make contact. Would not fire in either of my monkeyboxxes. It is now stuck in my 18490 Woodville with no hope of getting it out. Using it in Wood Reos is kinda scary because the cup goes up so high and if it gets cranked down too hard accidentally their is no way to get it out. I was experimenting for you guys and should have just left it in the VVW. So it fits in the Grand, VVW, and VVGrand. (assuming). Your catch cup may vary. Anyone have any ideas how to get this out let me know.

That's a bummer! Maybe wrap something cold around the Chalice for a couple minutes and see if that will do it.
What would make the resistance go up in a coil after you start using it? I made one last night that measured 1.8 ohms. It worked great for a couple of hours. Then I noticed it was decreasing in vapor production and when I rechecked the ohms it was at 4.1. What do I need to do when coiling to prevent that?
BTW, I made one at 1.2 ohms this morning and it is freaking fantastic on the Grand with the 18650 battery. I've climbed down off the fence and dropped on the side of loving this thing.![]()
You could try what I/we always used to remove a broken, stuck light bulb from a socket: cut a piece of raw potato about the size of the catch cup, then cram it down onto the Chalice base and twist it out. Should/might work. Good luck.
EDIT: I'm thinking you can get the top portion off....and that the bottom is stuck in the catch cup below the rim. My solution will work to extract the bottom out of the catch cup after you have the top part off. The potato will be dense enough to actually grab the posts and unscrew the whole thing (bottom) out.

That's very interesting. I am worried that the posts aren't sturdy enough to get it out and would just bend and ruin the chalice.
I suppose its awesome tooHow much was it and how does one go about getting one?
I'm so bummed! I still can't get a good vape off mine. I know I set it up correctly but barely any vape comes out and no taste.
My first correctly wrapped one measured 2.2ohms so I tried as low as 3.7v all the way to 4.7. Nothing.

Don't feel bad, keeks - I'm struggling with my own coils as well. I've had a little bit of success using a screw to wrap the wire around, then unscrewing the coil off of it and 'screwing' a cotton wick into the coils. I'm still using too much wire somehow (34ga, 2 loops + legs comes out to over 3ohms) and I just can't get anywhere near the vapor production out of my homerolls as I do from the pre-rolls that came with the Chalice.
Persistence. We'll get it beat, just need to keep at it and refining techniques.
