Nah, it's really not confusing at all, Void. Your PV battery is a 14500, I take it? That mah rating is exaggerated by the manufacturer -- most of them are. That 900 is really about 600. The eGo battery rating appears to be an accurate 600. But, the real story begins after the eGo battery cycles a few dozen times. Everybody that is giving their results are dealing with brand spanking new batts. The results should be good. In fact, they may even get better for a short spell before they start to weaken. Just like us humans, we wear out over time. LOL

We will see - but its not necessarily how it plays. I remember that with the JS batteries, they seemed to be relatively weak at the beginning, then pick up - then die.

But, time will tell - the prototype eGo ive had for a month or so and have recharged a ton of times ( only 300+ mAH ) has worked flawlessly, and has not diminished in capacity!

I wonder if it comes down to how you vape?

I mean, if you drag on it slowly for 2-3 secs, but drag as in a good deep drag - to my estimate you get the exact same vapor, as if when you drag HARD, and do it for 6-7 seconds?

I'm finding that with my eGo I'm not having to take the 6 second drags to get huge clouds. I'm actually getting loads of vapor and a killer throat hit with 3-4 second drags. I seem to be vaping it differently than my 510's, 901's or JS.

Would the higher mAh effect throat hit?

The mAH wouldnt affect throat hit, no, but the sustained peak ratio would - also, the whole concept of the atomizer cover is made to both look great, and also be able to heat up the atomizer more than usually , providing a better hit!

Out of curiosity , how long does a JS last for you?

That's hard to say because it is always plugged in to my computer at home and the office or in my car. But the few times I have been "unplugged" I get about 3 hours..............

Don't get me wrong. I am fine with 8 hours. It is far longer than I have gotten with anything else I've owned. Although I am amazed at some of the times I am seeing posted here. I must be an even heavier user than I imagined..........

Ok I started using my Ego Tues 22nd at 6:30 pm. I am still on battery #1. Remember I topped off the batteries before ever smoking. I thought I vape a lot. Granted today I had to work but I take breaks. And I got to leave early (2pm it is 4:46 now). Still vaping. WOW!

You, lightweight, you. LOL

Ever drink so much that it hurts to type the next morning...

Anyways, I used a single battery most of Thursday and well past midnight. It died somewhere around 1:30. I'd say a little over 10hrs which was consistant with my last two charges.

I find myself using it without the atty sleeve and holding it in my fist pressing the button with my thumb.

You make me sad. All my hard work on making that sleeve look great, and have the function of making your vapor warmer and more rich - which basically halves the amount of time you should be pushing the button.. gone to waste.

Its okay. *snif* im not hurt. Im just *snurp* glad you *snif* like it.

:D

Haha. Don't worry, I'm back to using it with the cover. It does make a very noticeable difference. The vapor feels thicker and I'm getting killer throat hits, even on lower nic juices.

And if it makes you feel better, I got a lot of compliments last night on how cool and sleek the device looked. So all your hard work was not in vain.

I even ended up writing down Jantys website for some friends who were looking to quit smoking for the new year. . .

I am not a heavy vaper due to the fact that;

  1. My boss compared me to this young woman on the show "Intervention." If anyone watches that show, she was the one who was inhaling canned air .. she went through about 6 cans a day. I was having a heavy vaping day and my boss said .. "Did you see Intervention last night ?? I knew what he was going to say.
  2. I had pneumonia in October I think .. I still find it hard to inhale sometimes. Even when I can't inhale, I love puffing on my PV like a pipe ...
I received my eGo the first delivery day .. Seems I have one weak battery. Fully charged I wasn't getting much vapor at about 7pm .. I am comparing it to the other battery that was giving lots of vapor the next day after a full charge. I might have a problem battery or maybe it got wet with juice, not sure. It has a full charge now but last nights battery is not ready to quit !!

With that said I can't believe how long the battery lasts. Vaped from 7pm well past midnight and then picked it up again early this morning. 5 hours later it is still vaping like a champ.

NICE .. I haven't seen any mention of how to buy additional batteries or how much they will be or ???

Diane

PS .. I like that I can almost make the eGo feel like a ciggie in my hand or a big fat filterless ciggie I bought in Jamaica years ago.

I AM A HUGE JANTY FAN ..

I tried to quit smoking at first with a "Mall eCigarette."

I was a 40-YEAR-2-PACKS-PER-DAY-KOOL smoker. Someone said "get a JantyStick ..." when I gave up on the Mall eCigarette and bought a carton of smokes.

I bought my first stick in April and haven't smoked since. It was easy to vape and the battery is FOREVER with USB charging. I own 3 JantySticks [4] counting the JSV3 I purchased but haven't received.. PLUS the eGo.
I keep

  • 1 in my purse ...
  • 1 at my office ...
  • 1 in my car just in case ???
I have a few 'Pretty Shiny PVs." As much as I like them for what they are, I know that at any time I could run my battery down and then what would I do if I didn't have a way to charge or some charged batteries with me ?? Pretty sure I would smoke, even though I can't stand the taste of cigarettes any more ...

The JantyStick is like a pacifier and security blanket for me.

I have to agree that the JS is one of the most reliable backup devices I have owned.
Still waiting on my eGo to arrive on Monday, but it sounds like it will be good for everyday use with a JS as a backup.

I am hoping that the eGo will be strong enough to replace my BB, and from the comments I have read, it looks like it will.
