Dangit! I hate when my question is answered in a thread that I saw but didn't read!

Thanks for the link, Phear. I was mostly concerned about having a bunch of chargers with nothing to do (and slow charging less a concern than cooking the batt)

And to make my question even DUMBER: I use a passthrough at work anyway. Off to the janty store with me!

I received my eGo yesterday . . . charged the battery, then used it for 4 hours last night and didn't pick up another PV. In other words, it was my only vape.

Went to bed, and then picked it back up again this morning about 4 1/2 hours ago . . . still on the same initial charge . . . and it's still the only device I'm vaping with . . . and it's still going strong as I type this.

Frankly, I would have been happy with 4-5 hours of battery time. 8 1/2 hours and still going? I'm in awe.

So my preliminary thoughts are that I'm in love. The main reason why I left behind my beloved Janty Dura many moons ago was the battery life sucked. Moving to mods made sense because it gave me better battery life. If I had had the eGo in my hands months ago, I probably wouldn't have bothered with most of the mods that I now own.

Aside from the battery life, I just plain like how it feels in my hand. It's big enough to feel substantial without feeling bulky and unwieldy. It looks awesome with the cover, but it looks nice without the cover if I want to tail-pipe. ;)

I also LOVE the button. It's got a small indentation in it that feels perfect against my thumb. No misfires, no heavy pressure required . . . just a simple touch. It's got a bit of a "click" to it so that you know when you've pressed it, but it doesn't require any hand strength (which I know is an issue for some people). Put it in my pants pocket last night, and no misfires yet. It could happen, but it doesn't seem terribly likely since the button isn't very prominent and doesn't stick out very far.

I'm also rather surprised at how much flavor I'm getting. I'm one of those who felt that the 510 didn't provide as much flavor as a 901, and I speculated that perhaps it was the fact that it burns so hot. Well, I'm now having to rethink that position. This is providing excellent flavor.

My only beef with the device is I'm still not pleased with cartridges. I don't think it wicks the cartridges particularly well, but it does better than many other devices in that regard. For me, that's not a stumbling block, though. I've pretty much given up on cartridges and direct drip. If the Tesla filter becomes a reality, then I'll rethink that position. ;)

If I'm even half this happy a month from now, I'll still be satisfied. But I really need y'all to hurry up with my Tesla filter. Seriously.

Yeah, I know. And she really does scare me. I'm checking out WITSEC options now.........

Lucky isn't scary . . . she's a ..... cat . . . unless you tick her off, and then . . . yeah, perhaps you should be checking into WITSEC options just in case.

I am praying she gets good batteries and her charger is not defective. :nun:

Edited to Add: I've reached the 10-hour mark on my battery (first charge), and it's still going strong. I keep pressing the button expecting it to blink . . . it's almost kind of freaking me out a little bit.8-o

You're a day ahead of me, oh Moddess of all things PV. But, we agree on the flavor. Surprised me a bit too.

Interesting caveat here. I'm not using the new Dura that came with the eGo. I purposely used my old Joye 510 yesterday and early this morning so that I could a good read on the device itself sans being cluttered with an atty break-in. I'm also not using carts, I should add. I'm dripping more than normal but I think I'm hitting it less than normal too. Anyway, the caveat is that the atty bridge area (the cup) is WAY cleaner than it was this morning. I can only guess that the atty is heating up hotter and more efficiently? I mean, WTF is this eGo thing? Isn't it just another battery holder?

3 1/2 hours in, about 3/4 ml of liquid -- same TH. WAY early but -- Me happy.

JJ, if you're REALLY happy with the eGo, can I have some of your other mods? Thank you, Moddess. =)

And btw -- Lucky is scary even when she's not angry. Except maybe not on her birthday. Wasn't she 29 on this day last year too? Hmmmmm.

8-o What? Give away my children?!? 8-o

But, even the Old Lady that Lived in a Shoe knew what to do -- she kicked a handful of brats out to the street.

(geez, don't you people know your nursery rhymes?)

Think of me as a VERY qualified adoptive parent willing to share my home with the *puff puff* patter of small (and large) PVs. I could probably forge, I mean, scrape up a recommendation or two...

Dude, I'm telling you . . . Lucky is seriously the acid test. If she's happy, you have a home run.

So did you make a pact with the Dark Lord or something? I'm approaching 11 hours over here on this battery and no signs of it letting up. No degradation in power, vapor, or flavor.

I gotta say that I liked the JS . . . liked it a lot . . . but the eGo is a whole new level.

He is not that dark, really. I mean after you get to know him hes a nice guy - he has a temper sure, but .. really dont we all.

I mean, you do have to watch what youre saying when youre with him - let me give you an example:

Way back - we were talking a walk, just discussing the new eGo i had designed, and how we could make it more powerful. And while we were doing this we were both vaping - i was vaping on a Dura, and he was vaping on a Jantystick (the V2).

When all of a sudden, he begins cursing and he looks up at me with a _really_ annoyed look in his eye. I then notice that he has crumpled up his lips, like when you do if you suck on a lemon for instance, and he grabs my left hand and forces my palm open while holding it slightly underneath his mouth, and then he SPITS out a bunch of liquid.

And i mean, this happens we all know the liquid in the mouth problem - but he got SO angry and just yelled out loud "I CURSE YOU JANTYSTICK V2, I CURSE YOUR BUTTON, I CURSE YOUR ATOMIZER CONNECTOR, I CURSE YOUR BATTERY LID" and he throws it hard into the ground.

And we all know what happened then, to the Jantystick V2's around the world.

However it wasnt all bad. We had just finished the deal on the eGo so when i asked him if we could give the eGo incredible power, AND taste in a small package, he just kinda waved his hand at me and said "yeah yeah sure" - and.. well i guess he kinda overlooked it.

So.. yeah that might explain it.

Too funny, Mik . . . well, stay on his good side, because I don't want any problems with the eGo. ;)

Well, the battery finally decided to quit at ELEVEN HOURS. I'm actually somewhat relieved. Like I said, it was getting freaky. The last puff before the battery started blinking was solid . . . absolutely no indication at all it was going to give up the ghost.

That does sound about right to me though - and if this was your first "real" charge, i even think it can become better once the battery has been broken in. But - lets see - i dont wanna disappoint you!

Im just happy that you like it! ;D
