My ONLY reservation at this point is that the batteries are brand new, and any battery will suffer degradation in performance over time. At this point, I personally don't know what kind of battery power and life I'll see off my eGo in another month. But, like I said, if I see 7 hours of vaping (I'm now at 10-11 hours) off of a single battery in a month, I'll be wildly enthusiastic.
The other caveat I offer is that I am NOT using the eGo with cartridges. I gave up on cartridges a long time ago. I am a more or less confirmed direct dripper. Therefore, I really can't comment on how folks will like the eGo with cartridges.
Truthfully, it's the size and the battery life that is selling me more than subtle changes in flavor using/loosening/removing the shroud. This thing is so small that I spent 15 minutes wandering my house looking for it . . . it was in my front pants pocket. So small, I didn't even notice it. And in excess of 10 hours of vaping from a device this small? Unbelievable.
Yeah, it's a thumbs up. In another month, we'll see whether it's a two thumbs up.

So glad that you didn't have to go into Witness Protection. We would have missed you.

Hey guys, got me eGo a couple of hours ago.
First off, the packaging is very fancy and professional. I was surprised.
Secondly, the construction is excellent. Looks very well put together, and made with quality materials.
It is quite small. It''s heavy also, but still fits in the fingers and hand quite nicely. The button placement is good. It feels like vaping a heavier 510 in a way.
They came charged. I put one on the charger and began vaping the other one.
My first impression is that it vapes just like a 510, which is good. I expect it to be even better when the battery is fully charged or broken in. I am getting consistent vapor without trying too hard. Like I said, very similar to a 510 in performance so far.
Another thing I think I am noticing is an increased juice efficiency. I direct drip only, and I noticed that I am going longer without refilling it. I have forgotten, and just vaped away for a long time, when normally I am refilling my 510 every few minutes. Maybe this is all in my head, but we will see.
Other than that, I am pretty satisfied with it. We will see how it goes once I use it for a few days. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Pretty much, I wanted to get a mod. I love the look and feel of the 510, and never wanted a mod, but battery life was killing me. I was sick and tired of carrying around a PCC and car charger and being scared of their reliability. I was sick of carrying extra batteries, and just having my house full of e cig crap everything. Things charging, me forgetting where I put things etc.
So, I decided to cave in and buy a mod for the easiness of it all. I kind of accidentally came across the eGo, and ordered it on the spur of the moment. After wards, I thought I should have gotten a big mod, because the batteries can be bought anywhere and I'd have it forever. It just seemed far more economical.
However, right now I think I made the right choice. The eGo is small and really fits in my hand well, and it is really nice looking. It's something I can use in public and not feel like a freak.
Like I said earlier, I will keep this thread updated over the next few days and tell you all what I think of it. For right now, I am just happy I was able to simplify my e smoking experience.
EDIT: Ok, I figured it out.
On my 510, a lot of juice would clog the empty cart, and leak. I would taste juice, then blow it out.
It seems like the eGo somehow sucks up the juice that would be wasted in this situation, leaving me with more smoke. I keep filling it, but it doesn't leak too much. It appears to be using the juice I normally waste.

Well not MY ego, but the Janty Ego.. Anyway..
It is the best PV I have every used and I own just about every type out there for the most part (minus some of the mods) and this performs the best. I was in a restaurant I frequent and at the bar. I was vaping away like I always do, but for some reason I was drawing more attention than usual. All the normal wait staff were coming by and asking me about it (even though they'd seen me use it 100+ times there). Then it finally dawned on me: everyone is planning to quit smoking as part of their New Year's resolution!
I could honestly tell them that I loved the ego and handed out the few Janty cards I got with it and wrote down information for others. The big selling point is the battery life. Alot of these guys are working atleast an 8 hour shift and to have something that will last them all day is fantastic. It was like the AHA moment for me and them as well. The design (atty covery is fantastic) and performance is just fantastic. I'm really wondering what the Baby J will hold. I wasn't going to get the ego since I figured battery life would be sub-par. From the videos the real winner, battery life wise, seemed to be the Baby J. But with this amazing perfomance, I can't even imagine what type of run-time the J will have.
Either way, thanks Janty and Mik for a wonderful device. I will recommend it to everyone I see, just need more cards

Yes, it is small and black, is there any chance that the lettering could be printed using florescent ink? I'm forever losing batterys, sometimes permanently because of that, or maybe it's a marketing ploy
. I won't use white batteries due to their likeness to real cigarettes. I've bought a florescent pen specifically to help with this but factory printing tends to last a lot longer.
I was going to wait for Baby J after I read somewhere that the battery was going to be only as good as the Stick. Luckily that didn't come true and a high capacity battery was used! My local supplier now has them so I will be ordering on payday
i still like th eGo and still my SB and other devices are a bit jealous. so much vaping time in so little space... unbelievable. if the battery and switch don't break to soon its a real tophit for janty.
i already suggest the ego as the beginners device to get, jantys bonus for new toys is still raising for me, so i just have to buy the BabyJ only because of that.

Ok. I started using a fresh eGo battery at 6:45 yesterday, and it died at 10:45 this morning. 16 whole hours. I vaped it pretty regularly until around 1:00am and then went to bed. Woke up at 7:30 and vaped pretty heavily until 10:45 this morning.
Anyway, this thing is awesome. I am still vaping kind of with a regular 510 attitude, kind of paranoid about needing a recharge all the time.
Today, I just took off the old battery, threw it in the pouch, put a new one on, and continued to vape. I have been going for about 8 hours on the second battery.
I am a pretty heavy vapor, and I have not vaped my heaviest yet, so when I do that, I will post the results of that fresh test.
I just don't know how Janty packed in all that power into this thing. The math doesn't seem to add up.

Nice review... I am looking forward to getting mine soon as well. I have several mods but I wont take them out in public. I can honestly say the Ego looks like it was built for public eye.
Sweet, it's good to hear the batteries are lasting so long for people. I was a little worried with only 600mah compared to the mah rating on batteries for mods. But for the size of this thing and the amount of vape time reported per charge this seems to be a great balance. I'm definitely going to be ordering one soon. Hopefully it'll be my main unit.
I bought eGO two weeks ago (from Janty Europe), and I find that I only need to replace the battery every other day. I smoke 18mg Apple Cider from JC.
This is the first e-Cig experience for me, and the experience is heavenly.
However, I stumbled on a problem with the design, the barrel tip toward the cart.
What happened was, I dropped eGo without the CART on, but with the atty on, then, the top side of the barrel is not perfectly round. Whenever I unscrew it to cool down the atty, it leaves round marks on the cart, and I cannot take out the barrel without removing the cart. I guess that such a tight design is to allow mellower intake by limiting the airflow into the atty. However, I wish that the barrel could be made stronger (a bit thicker?) to prevent such a harassment.
Other than this kink, everything is perfect, because, I'm smoke free almost for two weeks!!!
