I've just gotten my V3 and have the same problem as a number of other people, i.e., that some atomizers don't work in the V3 (in my case it's the TW atomizers). Is it possible for Janty to make some kind of official statement about which ones are compatible with the V3 so that I don't go off buying atomizers that will ultimately not work with the device? I realize that may not align with Janty corporate interests in that the atomizers that don't work tend to be non-Janty atomizers, but compatibility with existing technology is a big issue with us.

p.s.: I know there are adapters available for other atomizer types, I choose not to use them.

I'm in the same boat. I stocked up on TW 801's last sale they had and so far, none of them have fired up out of the box on the JSV3.
I've had to gently pull the center post out just a shmidge to get them to make contact. However, once I have one set up, it seems to stay set....as long as I don't pop it on my Protege.

Yes, I'm sure the threads are clean. I'm just lucky I had an atty from HC in my bag. All the other atties I have with me are TW. When I get home I'll try the other brands I have and see how they work, but the main problem seems to be that the atty connector in this new version is just a hair shorter than before, and that's making all the difference.
what nubee said... Now I don't have ANY TW atties.... but I used the 302(model that comes with it), older "new" hB 801s and the great be112 atties and work no problems
I know with other model atties with some of my other mods had the same issue that pulling the center part of the atty connection out just a tid bit always helped with them.....

Agreed, the V3 is perfect for me, love that button action and the new rubberized finish. My problem is going to be figuring out what kind of atties I have and which ones work with it. I tend to order atties on the spur of the moment, say to fill out a minimum to get free shipping, or things like that, then I forget where I got them. I should probably get organized, but history teaches me that that's not going to happen...

Center post is no problem to get to. Just turn the atty over and it's right there. You'll see a small, clear-ish washer separating it from the bottom of the atty connector. I just take a small pair of tweezers that have "teeth" on the ends (lab type tweezers not cosmetic style) and very, very gently rock and lift that post. It doesn't take much distance at all - you really won't see it move. Squeeze and lift a bit then test.
The other approach I've tried is a small, eye classes screw driver. Use the tip to push that clear washer under the atty center post. Do that multiple times all around and then test.
So far, I've gotten every TW atty I tried to work this way.
I like the TW attys better, easier draw. I had the same problem with the V3(TW attys not making contact). I used a paper clip and rocked the center post back and forth to pull it up.
They work fine now and I can use my stock pile of TW attys!!!! About 27 attys in stock,bought them at $5.00 each.

Did you ever pull the center post completely out of one of the TWs? I did that while I was fiddling with one of mine. Does that break it? I can't remember how these things are constructed internally.

Yep, that breaks it as there is a wire/solder point on that post on the inside of the atty.I have come across an interesting post by Scottbee http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/joye-510/65055-battery-voltages-surprise.html.
The test shows that the voltage output of the eGo under load is about 3.1 volts (which apparently is not sufficient to properly power the atty).
I wonder if Janty would care to comment on Scottbee's findings.

hehe, i had already a discussion on the german ERF about Scottbees findings. it seems lots of people get the wrong conclusion.
the dura/510 atomizer is perfectly working the way its powered with joye/janty batteries.
i know now, why my wife don't like big batterie mods with some liquids, the 510 runs for some people to hot on those. some people may not understand that, but its a fact.
people that only use battery mods with 3.7V often drop the 510 because of that and just say it always taste burnt.
my personal view is this: it tastes perfectly on the eGo as it is. and because its not getting to much power, the residues on the atomizer coils are easier to remove than on 510 atomizers that got used on battery mods. hot water rinse is sufficient most of the time.
there are always some folks that think they need more power, 5V and 6V mods show that all over this boards.
[edit] btw, most of the time i think my 510 devices are bad performing, its because the 2 vent holes on the cart are not correctly cut. a little bending with a needle works better than putting the atomizer on a Silverbullet.

You are correct, you did not say that. However, it would be nice to know why some of the non-mods are not producing 3.7 volts output under load.
Since I am considering the purchase of an eGo I guess I have a valid question.
Sorry Scottbee ... this post was in no way intended to get you in trouble. I am just looking for the supplier to give their view on your findings.
Yeah I just noticed if I use an atty that was used on a "flat" based connector,and had it on tight, that if I used it on the V3 I would have to fiddle with the center post a bit.

The design of the eGo with the included atomizer cover ensures perfect vaping under those conditions specified. Its not a coincidence, we built it like that: and the fact that not many out there understand why it works so good is just good for business now isnt it? =)
