Leaky Stick = Leaky 801

Please correct me if I'm wrong...

When people say that their Janty Stick leaks, what they really should be saying is, "My 801 atomizer just leaked fluid inside my Stick".

Personally, I only have experience with the Janty/joyetech 801 atomizer. I noticed that it has 2 large holes which will leak fluid. And logically, it will leak more and faster with thinner fluids. Not wanting to give up and say that the 801 is a piece of you-know-what, I want to ask everyone two questions. There must be a well designed 801 on the market right!?

1) Who are all the 801 atomizer manufacturers?

2) Which 801 atomizers leak more or less than others?

PS: Janty seemed to get something very right with the Stick. No matter what fluid I use or how hard I inhale, I NEVER get fluid in my mouth. That is a HUGE accomplishment for an 801 IMO. It is due to a crosscut design where the atomizer attaches to the Stick allowing more airflow.

If only an 801 atomizer exists that doesn't leak (please tell me there is one), the 801 Stick would be golden. If not, I'll be eagerly waiting for the 510 adapter to be released.

hi
i recieved my js yesterday
Wow!!!! This little thing is fantastic
Super size and packs a consistent punch(I only hope that the atomizer is more reliable than the dse 901) When I first started on e-cigs about nine months ago the main factor was "doe's it look like a cigarette", well that thought has gone out of the window as I am sick of people surrounding me when I pull out my 901 in public, in fact the 901 actually draws attention to you!! I went for a couple of beers last night and to be honest I had a really enjoyable evening for a change, the reason being is that with this little machine you can puff away inconspicuously as it does not draw attention like the 901.
Great product
All the best

Just a different take, looks nice, hopefully in metal. I'd bet it's got a USB port and a similar cigar type battery in it from the looks of it..

any atomizer without these holes will have no draw at all... the holes are needed. For V2 we have sealed as much as possible the compartments inside the stick body, there will always be some airflow between the compartments, but it has been minimized as much as possible.

new V2 atomizers will be added to the V2 stick sets, V2 TAWA atomizers will be available as well as the normal classic atomizer versions. These new ones will give you a bit of more heavier raw, I believe that is what you are looking for..

Huh, this sounds..promising :) Look forward to seeing v2!

I also have a faulty stick...
The switch button is working "so-so" (if I don't press it on the "top", it does't work) and the sticker is starting to peel
The batteries also are definitely not lasting 5 hours, more like 1...

When should I send the request for a replacement? Now or at the end of the month?

Two weeks of experiencing the Stick and its failings tells me that the wiring from the Cameo's body to the atomizer will end up being a weak point. The other weak point will be Janty's continued non-response to those who try contacting them asking for repair or replacement under their so called warrantee.

Dear Rexa, I believe your calculation is wrong...

Considering your jantystick is almost a week old now with a manual button that's coming off and now a new one coming out that would mean you keep the old one, on request you receive a replacement body until the V2 arrives (shipping included), then you receive a free version V2 one, (shipping included) even if the previous free one is still working and all this - 90 which = 79.95 +one time shipping only for 2 to 3 sticks and a 6 month guaranteed warranty and Jeff or Ethan probably throwing in free goodies as well...

Stick with the stick, stick with us, you will be taken care of and you will enjoy the best vaporizers around :)

I guess that's a good comprimise then. Let's hope my button makes it until July then

Again, I like what the stick does. I just want it to last.

Not taking a mouthful of juice actually depends on quite a few factors. It has to do with the carts, the atomizer, how you fill, and how you hold the kit when vaping.

I have managed to get a mouthful of juice and just about all my PVs including the stick. There can be some trial and error involved (and I did finally start using the janty carts and the janty atomizer last night which the kit came with).

Here are some factors to take into consideration:

    1. Is the cart over-filled

    2. Does the cart have liquid on the sides (from condensation). When i took the cap off the janty carts for instance, I had to wipe off the sides because that will get into my mouth. You have to remember that the carts has two vents - enough room to let liquid travel to your mouth if it's all over the sides.

    3. Where the filler material is in relation to the atomizer's wick. I have noticed that if I twist off some hard-to-remove carts off the stick that sometimes the material may get shifted/pulled out a bit/etc. It kinda "drowns" the atty. So I'm doing my best to just yank it off straight now.

    4. If you're filling empty carts, is the material in the empty carts a good material? Is it soaking up the liquid well when you fill it. I have some "bad carts" where the filler kinda sucks (i stay away from them anyway), doesn't hold liquid well and hence that can attribute to too much liquid coming out resulting in a mouthful of liquid.

    5. If you're using a manual, it's hard to make it leak BUT if the atomizer is totally flooded then also keep in mind that as you're unscrewing the atty off the liquid may then leak inside if it has already accumulated towards the bottom of the atomizer.

    6. Is the battery doing well? If not then you're probably trying to make bigger pulls. The liquid may not be burning right and the liquid can flood while you're thinking that maybe there isn't enough liquid or your dripping more.

    7. Lastly it's the liquid. If the liquid is thin then that will cause problems. Most often, thin liquid may not affect smaller atomizers but on a pen-style it can and will be noticeable.

With an 801 you have to keep in mind that it's BIGGER and it's WIDER so of course it's natural to expect it to do more of the above then something smaller where liquid has a more narrow path so to speak to travel down towards.

There are plenty of ways to avoid it though, the best thing is to simply not use generic 801 atties. The Janty atty has been working great for me as well as my usual BE-112 atties from bestecig. Use carts which are not loose. If the carts bottom (white) portion is loose or has too much room when inserted into the atomizer then you have loads of room for condensation (which naturally occurs). Plus you'll be making an annoying whistling sound while vaping. I use tight carts so I generally have no problem with liquid being trapped on the sides lately.
