I've never known anyone that was red/green color blind. Out of sheer curiousity, I would like to ask a few questions. Do you mind?

1. What color do you see on the charger?
2. Are red/green the only 2 colors you have trouble with?
3. Do you have trouble with all shades of red/green on all surfaces or just lights?

Ever widening my circle of knowledge....
This is exactly why I love forums !!
Thanks

I don't either, but I don't doubt that some folks have that problem. That's the reason why in driving tests there are questions about what color is on top of a vertical traffic light, and on the left of a horizontal. Color blind people gotta drive, too.

I got the same box marked "5pcs plastic caps accessories".
It was part of the Janty Stick Set.

The JANTY™ Stick set contains:
1 x Stick Body V2 improved
2 x SPECIAL E-cig rechargeable batteries 360 Mah (not AAA battery!!!)
1 x Classic Atomizer (JANTY original classic atomizer under warranty)
1 x Stick dedicated USB-E cable 0.75 cm or 1.50 cm (according to availability) for charging and vaping through USB port computer, power outlet or car
5 x Free classic cartridges
1 x Special carrying pouch
1 x Manual

Mine had the wicking material and filled with RYS - H

Strangely enough, I just talked to someone today who had ordered blank 901 cartridges
and they came in with no wicking material.

If I may add to this because something doesn't ring right --

Being color-blind doesn't mean being blind. The OP initially stated that there were no color changes of the lights not that he couldn't differentiate. How 'bout it OP? What's the deal-io, yo?

I don't doubt he is color blind... I was just interested in what color he does see.

Just my natural curiousity... didn't mean to imply I doubted him.

The single light on the charger does not go out, it changes color. If you can't distinguish the difference between red & green you would never know when the battery was charged.

Duckman,

I'm sorry that people are talking about your disability right in front of you instead of talking TO you. Like you're not even here. Please forgive us for that.

I have the Janty stick too and sometimes the red/green is a little dim...so it also may be difficult to even tell when there's any light on. I really haven't had a problem with overcharging mine. I charge mine overnight, then use it at work...then use my car charger to vape it on the way home from work...(which usually takes me anywhere from 45 minutes to a couple of hours, depending on traffic)...then I use my USB with it while I'm playing on the computer at night. I haven't killed it yet. :D It seems to be a pretty solid product. Matter of fact, I haven't even used my second battery at all. Still vaping on one. How are you doing?

I was using my V2 today and something went wrong. The light was staying on after I released the switch, all the way to the cutoff! I didn't notice it until about four draws later, so my atty was firing for 11 seconds, four times in a row. I will have to send the V2 back I guess. I put the m201 atty in my backup V1, and here's the observation: HUGE HUGE HUGE CLOUDS OF VAPOR!!! I have never seen the likes of it! So I guess running the stick to the cutoff several times (with a wet cart in) seems to clear out the gunk a little. The M201 atty in question is like 3 weeks old, and the vapor production was starting to wane. Now it smokes better than when it was brand new. Just thought I would share that with you guys. :)

Hey guys, been using this thing solidly for a week now.

Let's start with the Pros.
1. battery lasts for ever and charges quickly
2. Nice long deep inhales possible before LED goes Red. Nice throat hit.

Cons
1. Cart leaks somewhat
2. Cart has to be filled every 10 puffs or so.
3. Should be standing upright so liquid can touch atty wick
Lying it flat is not so good.

4. The classic atomizers somes are tedious to screw in all the way.

I never screw in the cart and the atomizer together. You should first screw in atomizer then push in the cart.

It's much much better than my Janty dura C, but it still has problems.

I'm curious about the cart usage. If you're only getting 10 puffs from an 801 cart, that would be unusual. How many drops do you call a 'refill'? Are you hitting the redline with every puff? How long between puffs? What kind of atty are you using and how old is it?

Personally, I drop 10 drops on a cart and vape that dry and repeat. I get about the equivalent of 3 cigarettes doing that, but I don't come anywhere near the redline when I puff (and I still get flavor, hit and vapor).

Hey all my Wife tells me I'm very bad with colors. I disagree with her but what do I know I've never seen through her eyes.

Don't feel bad about teasing me. when I told my wife I posted this before asking her what color the light was. she laughed and told me I was an idiot.

I mostly confuse red / green but basically any color that has red / green in it can confuse me.

As far as what color I see on the charger. I see what ever color my Wife tells me it is. Basically it could be either, I'm not sure. When I plugged the charger in at night It was red. When I checked it in the morning it still looked red.

yes it is worse with lights. not sure why. As far as traffic lights go. I basically don't see the green light at all at night it just merges with all the other street lights ( looks white ). But I see the red quite clearly. This has scared the crap out of me more than once when I realize I'm in the middle of an intersection and can't remember seeing the light. though I've learn over the years it's always green when this happens.

As far as shades of red / green. I see them as darker or lighter but this can also cause confusion. what the surface is doesn't seem to make a lot of difference.

Problem is most colors are not primary ones. the world is filled with a mixture and thats where I get lost.

I don't concider myself color blind. I just see colors diferently. Aperenly to different to fly a plane though.

I realize now the original post was kind of dumb. I thought the light would go out when charged. when it didn't I look hard at the light and it still seemed red. had I known it switches to green I would have asked the wife first.

Hey all, well, I'm headed south of the border for the week and will not return until the 27th. If you have emailed me at Ethan@jantyusa.com you may want to forward that message to another Janty email, as I will not be able to get it while away. Anyhow, I'll miss reading the hundreds of emails each day ;), but I bet I'll be able to manage by having a few cocktails. Have a great week everyone, and take it easy on Jeff this week, he's flying solo, so be patient folks!

Duckman,

Thank you for taking the time to explain that.

I would like to echo that, Duckman.

I took for granted that a light (LED) coming on of any color would be enough to differentiate whether a battery was charged or not, regardless of one's color sightedness. Tell your wife she can call me an idiot too -- eh, never mind -- mine tells me that every hour on the hour. =)
