Quick question.... I was vaping some unicorn blood for a day, switched flavors. Was still tasting the unicorn blood so I stripped and washed everything. Wrapped a new coil, rewicked. Still tasting hints of it. Is there something I should try or do to get rid of lingering tastes?

the tube can somewhat absorb some of the more pungent flavors. I bought a second hand box mod once and the tubes were tainted by buttered popcorn juice. I soaked them in rubbing alcohol for a few hours which helped, but in the end, it was just time and different juice that eventually "overwrote" the old flavor phantom.

Yeah if i tried something i didn't like or that doesn't mix well i use vodka soak the whole mod rda taken off and is squirt some through the tube with a syringe. Then rinse thoroughly with warm water and that'll usually get 90% of it out. You'll get a hint of it for a little bit. If you only fill the bottle half way after cleaning by the time that runs out it's usually good. It's a lot of work to be picky lol easier to have more Reo's lol

I was wondering if it was in the tube somehow and if there was a better way to wash it out. I usually rotate between 4-6 flavors. Guess I need more Reos! Lol.

I vape UB too and noticed the same thing. I think it's one of the sweeteners he uses. I took the tube and the o-ring in the cap out and rinsed everything again under warm-ish water, used some Vodka and swabbed the 510 connection and flushed some of it through the feed hole. That's the strange thing, like you, this is the only e-liquid that does this for me.

All that is is one coil folded in half that makes that little infinity on the end. I actually tried wrapping an entire "figure-8" coil last night by weaving it on a pair of forceps. It was an epic failure.

Just for you

Crappy photos I know but all I got is a phone and a crappy one at that.

Hrm... Unicorn Blood... call me a newb, but where is that from, I keep hearing about it... and well, I figure I like my Unicorns cooked a bit on the rare side, so I might like vaping the blood too....

For me, I use the vodka trick as well... I only notice it when swapping to a non menthol juice though, as most of my other juices seem to blend well enough to be not much of a challenge in that regard.

So I finally decided to take the plunge and I have a reomizer on order now (ordered it last night) along with some 30 ga. Kanthal, a few extra springs, etc., and some sterile cotton purchased already. I watched several of the videos last night (thanks super_x_drifter and statistics!) and read the rebuild tutorial sticky, which was very helpful. I do have a basic (stupid) question about testing it. I haven't been able to find a place that has that nifty black box for testing in stock, but I do have a multi-meter which says it can be used for testing resistance (which I think is what needs to be tested, right?). My question is, what is it on the reomizer that I would put the test leads on - the two posts? Sorry, I am having a hard time getting all this electrical stuff to make sense.

Yup, at least that' where I test mine at... one probe on each post. Do take note though, that the DMM will likely have a slight variance to its readings, so its best to short the two leads together when checking you resistance to see what it shows. (Mine reads as an extra .4 ohms to what it actually is)

What JL said. Some multimeters auto zero adjust. See your instructions. One of mine doesn't... reads 0.4Ω with the leads shorted. I just subtract that from the coil reading. The phillips head screwdriver slots in the screw heads hold the probe tips nicely without slipping.

Thanks for the quick response! Hmm... the instructions for mine say to hold the 2 test leads together and it's supposed to give a reading of 0, but it doesn't appear to be doing that (the reading is all over the place, then settles around 2. something.) It's not a very expensive one at all, so perhaps I need to invest in a better one. :)

Mine does that too. I can't get a good reading. Sucks. I use my evic to test it.

:) I've read a lot of posts where someone is using their other mods that have displays on them for testing. I was looking at some of those - with the readouts - last June, and then decided to go right to the Reo instead, so I don't have anything else except for my ego batteries and clearos.
