It's working very well from the trash can! I think i'm just enjoying having a RM2 that isn't drilled for mundy's. Running a 9-wrap r41 now. Tasty cakes!

yeah! I bought a new RM2 for the wedding box and i can finally grab small wires again. All my other RM2's are drilled to hold single-double MM coils
Just a question. Has anyone else ever melted the 510 insulting gasket on their Reo? Inquiring minds want to know.
never the gasket. Buttons, springs, fuses, and numerous coils for sure. Well... I can't really say never. Now I'm tempted to pull apart a few and see if i've melted any.
Just be extremely careful. Was warned by redeyedancer and now she's on her way home to the creator for repair. I thought it was just a piece of lint. Boy was I wrong mistake was not taking pics. But it looked melted and burnt when it came out.
Yeah. I have tons of replacement parts. i do clean and check them regularly. Have yet to find any abnormalities in the 510 insulators despite the abuse I throw at them.
Are we talking about the silicone (?) gasket that looks like a proper bushing (cylinder with collar) and seats between the positive post and the 510 throat? Or the mystery goop that is bedded under the whole 510 organ?
i think the mystery goop is just thread sealant to lock the 510 neg in place?
Mystery goop. Perfect name for it. It sits there and hides until it's to late. Then by magic it appears. 
so is the mystery goop thread sealant for the 510 neg? or is it melted 510 pos runoff... inquiring minds would like to know... Rob? Is there a silicone-like thread-sealant used on the 510 neg threads during initial assembly?
Don't know what the mystery goop is but it reminded me of hot glue when it melts so that is what I put back in the VV
I don't trust myself enough to try and tear it apart that much. I'll let the creator work his magic.
My usual mode: If all else fails read the directions!
