Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO

Today it finally hit me, my genesis atomizers need to go. After trying various wick materials, coil arrangements, tilting techniques, etc., etc., I realized I have been chasing the performance that I get reliably now from my Reo! No use fiddling with these persnickety tubesteak toppers any longer! Should net enough for about half of my next Reo!

I know exactly what you mean, it took me a while, I don't have anything but REOs

Agreed. Someone with some time on their hands should measure this before and after clipping the excess flush. Inquiring minds NEED to know.

Any wire beyond the contact point doesn't change the resistance, just like you can check the resistance on an inch or so of wire while it's still connected to the rest of the spool of wire.

Exactly, that extra wire does not affect resistance enless the ends were shorted.

I have been wondering why some wrap the wire up over the screws, now I know. I have also noticed the the RM2 screws come loose. One screw I I had to really crank down on it to not loosed un. Had I used 30 awg or smaller the wire definitely would have snapped. Cup point screws would fix that though. I prefer to use flat point screws though in my atties. I noticed loose threads have a tendency to cause the loosening issue.

My RM2 is better than ever, after months of so so....micro coil at .78 Ohms, 29 nichrome, cotton... very nice.

My son still uses my old RSST but he puts a micro coil on it and uses a rolled cotton "U" wick. It works better that way than any mesh I ever put in it.

and then love slamming it.

i'm still struggling to replicate my best ever fc2k wick/coil hot wrap, and just cant do it!!! lol.
for now i'm cleaning and dry burning it to the end.

Yeah, I could set up a Genny. I guess, maybe, the true test is when you're setting it up for someone else as the occasional chore. Not when you think your build is going to make or break your vaping world. Also, those little f-ing nuts. Its definitely a 3 handed job. After months of slapping coils into the RM2, my opinion of the cra_p you have to go thru to squeeze a vape out of a Genny has changed.

And the buyer says, "what's up with this thing?" and you say, " oh, you just have to hold that down while you twist this here, and pump on that." . .. . And then he says, "that looks worn out" and you say, "naw, you just gotta make sure you don't slide it. . . . just pick it up while you pull on this doohickey, and gently set it into that groove . . . . and hold it down while you're driving, cause it might pop out"


Eventually, you get a bit of perspective on what you thought was good enough.

Did my first attempt at a micro coil on a mini rda. 32ga about 10 wraps on a 1/16" bit. About 4.4v on my provari mini. Was hard to work with as the rda is pretty tiny. I was very very pleased but unfortunately this has really sparked my interest in reos and reomizers. I tried Sages at vermillion and it amazed me with the vapor production, TH and everything.. It also scares me that it may render my month old provari as an expensive ohm meter.





I couldn't get over how amazing it was. But I hate dripping. I was looking into an igo-L for my provari but the reo just seems more convenient. I think I also need to get some 30 or 28 gauge cause the 32 is too springy. Anyways I'll be definitely keeping up with this thread!

Lol I don't think i'll be getting rid of it, more of a backup for my mechanical if I end up getting one? Lol I've been looking at all these and really makes me wanna order one and tinker with it. I tried a micro coil on my rsst and I failed miserably. I got so fed-up I threw my carto tank back on. Maybe i'll continue tinkering with this RDA til I can get a REO.

Join the club. My PVmini is now an expensive meter. The REO is efficient, consistent, and reliable. You will eventually pull the trigger (and then wonder why it took so long).

It will get you pactice in building coils. After loving the performance I was getting from RDAs but not liking dripping I tried gennys and a protank. None of the tanks can match that flavor production IMO. So how do you get that without dripping? Reo! I'll never go back.

well that implies that you are enjoying the RM2 at least as much as the Genesis (at its good points)...

Well, the thing I was trying to get away from with the AGA was cooking the juice flavor off with that big old wick. I got to where I was building drippers (tilt n' vapes) on it. Man did I want a squeezy bottle to magically appear under my coil!

Yeah, I'm set with the RM2.

Rent could be 200 short I suppose... KIDDING! I just find micros soooo beautiful. And I want that vape nirvana that my piece of .... cartos cant give me. Anyone wanna overnight me there extra REO? lol
