I'm not horribly worried, nothings seems scary on the chemical breakdown. I wasn't trying to be "that guy," more of a "if you try it, make sure you don't .............."

It's all good, wasn't accusing you at all, but "that guy" usually comes around.

It's just funny when someone that smoked forever now wants only organic ingredients in a freakin smoke juice and is afraid of all the unknowns in vaping. Come on man!

Rob must buy Noalox by the drum! Has anyone ever posted that they ran out?

I never will since I don't use it. ;) First thing I do when I get a new Reo is wipe the Noalox off. But if anyone does run out it can be picked up at any big box hardware store for cheap.

Haha, funny Stats, I used to doe the same thing with packets of ARP assembly lube. I should se d you my little baggies of Noalox. They just sit around but I'm not the type to just throw them away.

Anyone found any safety issues, precautions, or concerns in regards to Rene'?

We did quite a bit of off the books discussion about it and decided that there should be no more risk than kanthal or nichrome... Now, that being said... none of us are scientists.

Speaking frankly, I've been shot at, blown up, and seen some nasty crap... I'm not too worried about a piece of wire. If it kills me, it kills me.

Absolutely!! I gave a similar response to a question about eliquid safety a while back and got a huge azz chewing from some broad with a stick in her hiney. Anybody that vapes is taking a calculated risk. Can't stand the heat? Get out of the fire!

. . . . . . . sore throat . . . . . . can't type .. . .

26g K A-1, 1/16" id, some ohms.. .65ish

Air holes are 59g.. I broke my 60g bit
2 x 59g and 2 x 60g are both more area than 54g and less than 1/16"

It's very hot, I presume because the heat begins just between the air.. (could also be due to the lack of wick, or juice.. maybe) but I'm also just..................

................ noticing the negative leg was severed by the screw.. and again a second time after that..

So I got a different screw and made up some proper dibby crack..

More 26g K, .5ohm. It was really harsh with not great vapor at first. So I raised er up high where the air hits the coils right on and has some room underneath to mosey around, should some of it wish to take the low road. The air holes line up just about perfectly.

Voluminous. More so than a breadbox. Gives the encyclopedia a run for its money. Voluminous volumes of vapor.
Hotter than I like, though. I look forward to playing Twister with Rene :p

Beauties, the coils folks. Getting some Woodvils and RM2s remicrocoiled and matched up for "smok'n" video. Ran out of RM2s, only have five, so had to break out the ERAs, Hornets, and A7s. Man, I didn’t realize I was so spoiled by RM2s to this extent!! Finally got the ERAs and Hornets adjusted but had to raise the coil height a lot compared to RM2. Had to drop down regular ohm range for A7s, though. Finally decided going to sell the ERAs and Hornets because I like the RM2 vape so much better. But have to work with Robert about the so many Woodvil catchcups, most of mine, that are too small for standard milled down RM2s. I'll bet he has a simple solution rather than replacing all the catchcups. (Vapor is so puny with Mini A7, on my workhorse Mini 1.0 I'm not going to vape it on camera. I probably could tweak it some but out of time. RM2 rarely needs any tweaking. It's so forgiving.)

Just did a rewick after a dry burn. Love this micro!

I just redid my 2 week old coil last night with one of these. Except I wrapped the upper leg around the screw, instead of feeding it through the hole. I only did that because 26 gauge Nichrome can be a bit difficult to twist and turn sometimes.

So far I really like it. The vape is great but different. I don't know how to explain it. Next up, I want to try one of Supe's tornado coils.

Good driver there live! A little hint to make it even cleaner:

With your jig still in place, take a small flat-head screwdriver and press the legs against the jig.

It will tighten up the first and last coils and make it all pretty.

Looks awesome man. I'll have to try it tonight. I'm not having much luck. All my juices seem to be overwhelmingly sweet and lack the flavor I'm used to with the 306's. I REALLY want to like the RM2, but at this rate, I'm not sure that's going to happen.

I made a super crude version of Supe's coil-nado. It's not pretty but it works super well! get it?

It's hard to see (let alone take an iPhone picture) of where the air is coming from. I put a piece of wire in there to demonstrate where the airflow is.

Final thoughts: plumes. Flavor. .....in

Dibby Crack coil prepped and ready for replacement once I'm bored agian

I built another coil at lunch today.

This one metered out at .9ohm on 28g kanthal and 1/16 ID. Again, the vapor is there, but the flavor is still lacking. It just tastes very sweet. I'm getting none of the tobacco flavor I'm used to on my 306's. Should I try wrapping a longer coil to go for higher ohms? Or, is it just not possible to get the same performance out of the RM2 that you get with a 306? Should I try silica? Somebody please help!!! I'm not giving up on the RM2!

Looked in my e-mail. I have 2 new rm2's waiting for me at home right now. One for the mini, the other will be lonely.

Good thing i have another grand, a vv grand, and yet another rm2 on the way.

REOcrackhead!

I voted on another grand because i didnt see the need to get the 2.1 and have to buy all new batteries. I got batteries for the 14500 mini as part of the trade.

I enjoy the cross-dress feature of having multiple grands.

Nice work Kyle. It ain't the easiest micro variant to construct is it? But it's not so hard that I won't make another either. I actually already did, with 1 less big end wrap. Ima put it on my woody one of these days :)

I returned that punch cause it didn't work as well as the plastic dealio.

P. F. B. I like it :)

No camera here... and I just discovered how hard it is to find a regular micro coil in this thread!

Anyway, my daily drivers are like the one in this video and give good flavor. You can play with distance back from the air hole, as well as coil vertical position with respect to the air hole. Yours doesn't look like too much, but I've found too much cotton can reduce the flavor. Hope this helps.
