First coil on my RM2. 28g kanthal clocking in at about 1.4 ohms. It hits greats and makes big clouds, but the flavor is not as good as I'm used to with my Cisco 306's. Any suggestions?

Thanks Super. It's better this morning that it was yesterday after I first built it. I'm going to let it ride for as long as possible.
Its certainly not earth shattering. But it is proving to be a little different, and IMO better, and HEY its fun.
ohms? .....
What did you wrap it on to get that shape?

Great looking coil!
I've been on an endless quest to get better flavor on my rm2. I've tried moving the position of the coil around quite a bit but I've had the most luck with the following:
1) Increase air hole size slightly. It's still smaller than 1/16 and I just used a nail.
2) Use just enough cotton inside the coil and no more. Fluffy but filling the entire inner diameter
3) Vertical coil that's tilted away from the air hole
I'd feel better if I included some pics but gotta get back to work pronto!

Yep, kicks .... Adds a bit of dimension to the vape. Can't explain it.

That looks fantastic. Is there a specific reason why you went with the narrow end towards the hole, vs. the other way around?
I was thinking that if the narrow end is closest to the airhole, the air would flow up the plane of the coil rather than be blocked by it. It works nice, in that it appears to have a quick reaction time on the smaller side of the cone and a slightly slower reaction time on the wider side, adding a little dimension to my unflavored nic that I didn't previously experience. That's when I fire and hit right away, like I typically do.
If I fire for 3 seconds before hitting, I get the full fury of a 1.4 ohm micro.
I'm going to look for a slightly narrower cone now to see if performs differently with a smaller cone. I am also gonna try to go vertical with it on my next chalice rebuild with the big end on top
