Well... I have the domain name purchased, I'm pretty close to having the base flavor recepie (brown bomber) tweaked to perfection... That being said, I'm going back to play in the sandbox again in the very near future.
I won't be able to really kick things off until ~late 2014 (or early 2015)
I have already planned a failsafe to make sure that NEMP is enjoyed by all should I not make it home
I'm sure all will go well. Stay safe over there. Can't wait to try some of your stuff when you get back and get everything up and running.

I should be able to. I typically work w/ transportation, so I'm on the road a lot, but most places over there have MWR buildings/tents w/ computers. If I had my way, I'd just work in a clinic or hospital the whole time... I've seen enough on the road for 100 lifetimes!

as for the brown bomber.... The bumble bee got a bottle of what I thought was the perfected formula, but he added some input and I have revision BB-PD1 steeping now. I'll give it a taste in a few days and send some more to my test monkey. If he gives it the green light, I'm going to make a massive batch and try to scratch a few backs before I leave

Think I found the answer to my own question...
Thanks to DZ's nifty little coil jig I was able to make a 12/13(?) wrap coil with Rene 41. 1/16th ID, clocking it at around 1.1-1.2Ω, hitting at 4.2v on the VVG.
It heats almost instantly, producing very thick, flavorful clouds.
BTW: A 1.8Ω, 28G Nichrome coil at around 5 volts is quite nice as well, but the Rene coil has a slight edge in flavor and vapor.

Something else I've noticed since switching to Nichrome, wicks seem to last longer. I would swap my wicks at least once a day with Kanthal coils. They would get really dark and start to taste funky. I'm getting two, sometimes three days on a wick now and they still seem relatively clean. Anyone else notice this?
