I agree, you do describe it really well. Did you need ear protection being that close to trackside ??

It amazes me the way they have to treat the engines before they first start them up. They have to pump pre-heated oil around the engine when it's cold. The tolerances are that tight, that a cold engine is literally seized up. Don't know if you guys get to see "Top Gear" or not, but I remember a feature they did on F1, the team mechanics actually got the engine to play the British national anthem, when they had it hooked up to telemetry - now that was impressive :D

As badass as that was, It looks like very few people came out to see it?

Awe. Some.

Great post bro :)

There was probably a huge crowd really, but they were half a mile away from the camera, so their eardrums didn't explode

Ear protection was provided by the track. I flipped and flopped between wearing it. Should o
I of wore it the whole time? Most likely but the pure see coming from the cars made me not want to and hear it in its purist Form.

I think I'd be the same, guess it's worth a bit of temporary deafness just to get the full effect of the cars passing by.

What I want to know is, what are Alonso and Kimi talking about.

I reckon Kimi is saying "that shower you had must have been cold, it was only this big"

A weekend, is the end of the week, what else would you call it :p:laugh:

Their definitely talking about chicks

It's the way they over enunciate the "end" in weekend that I like. Sounds more like "we - KEND".

It's because we're that glad the working week has finally finished, we have to emphasize it.

You've really opened a can of worms now, pronunciations between us Brits and our USA cousins, potato/potatoe tomato/tomatoe it could go on forever

A workmate of mine has just got back from Florida. On the first day, the Hotel manager took him to one side and said "you might want to ease off saying please so much buddy, it makes you sound like a tourist"

I have started to spell some of my words in the Queen's English (e.g. realise) from reading so many UK F1 articles & BBC.co.uk for news. I need to visit one of these days.

Wouldn't bother coming over at the moment mate, the weather is terrible. It's raining "cats and dogs"
