Morning all...I am beyond dragging today...hardly got any sleep last night because when I got home I discovered my heater on my waterbed had gone out! NOT NICE!:-x...Despite being wrapped like a burrito in several blankets, the cold just kept seeping through...was not a fun night at all! I've ordered a new heater but it won't be here until tomorrow...think I might have to sleep in my recliner tonight!

Would love it! and I could take my little merry pack of misfit rescues! LOL Can't seem to get hubby interested in pulling the trigger on one tho [emoji12] He says that he would rather stay in a hotel and not have to "set up" home when traveling. LOL I think it would be a blast!

Dale, Dale, Dale! :) Never been camping and am with everyone else on RV'ing. Bringing your flush toilet with you does not sound unreasonable. I only asked because the "cup of the day" is made of metal and only have seen with camping supplies......Come to think about it, a whole set of metal dishes would be good until the kids left home!
LOL

Momma, about 15 years back we took a tour of an RV dealer's lot. The one featured inside the building cost more than our house!

Sirius, hubbs has planned out the dinner menu for the next week. First is apple cobbler, the peach comes next, then blueberry. I would like to try the mango and pineapple. But, by the time we get to those two, I'll be on "bread and water"! :(

Sirius, yeah frozen slugs are not good! Think I'll pass on the butter and sleeping bag though!

I'm with everyone else on the camping thing...the only way to do that is with an RV, and yes heat and air, all the comforts, are a must! I once had a boss who kept his RV on site, was a construction site job, and yes I even had a pink hard hat! :p That RV was super nice...I could have lived in there happily, was nicer than my house! I used to go hang out in it during the day and watch TV on my breaks...now that is the way to camp! :D

Oh no, no, no. I grew up being forced into an RV to travel. My parents had one for years and I hated it. Once in my adult life I rode from here to Louisville, KY in an RV and remembered on that trip that I still don't like them.

The closest thing to camping for me is going to be a Marriott.

I have an hidden "angle" on wanting one. Would love to have my dogs be able to travel with us. I think hubbs knows that too and he ain't on board with them hitchin along. LOL

Hope you're feeling better today Ms.C!

Sirius - that's siriously beautiful and touching.
Good morning everyone! :) Did you dream about your tip/tips last night? Being my first auction, I wasn't quite sure what to expect; but with Momma, had a grand time keeping up with who was bidding on what. A couple of us were lucky in that the rest weren't focused on the tips we wanted. I think we got to experience what Kayte and Doug see behind the scenes on a regular tip buying night. Must say that it's a whole lot less stressful paying up! Ha! How did everyone else find this new way of buying MHM tips?

Kayte and Doug, it was a marvelous departure of our standard "shoot out" and with a choice selection of different kinds of tips! :) Youse guys are "the tops" in the ideas department! :)
Too bad you can't see behind the scenes on a tip party night. It's downright insane trying to keep up when there are 40 some tips and emails coming in so fast we can't possibly keep up. It's fun and exciting and confusing.
This was more relaxed than a regular tip night. :)

I'm so glad you had fun. I'm sure we'll do it again. I'm going to keep trying to find a program that will let us do it where you can click to bid so it's a secret on who is bidding on what. If anyone knows of an app that will work on our website, let me know! I searched high and low!

I only liked this post so you'd know I read it. :( Sleeping in the recliner or on the couch sounds like a good idea! Yikes! Misery!

I got to go camping in one once. My dad won it for a week in a golf tournament and we went to Colorado. It was a lot of fun!

My daughter has a pop-up camper and they go camping several times throughout the summer. I don't know how she does it with 7 kids.
We had a tent when the kids were growing up. I set it up out in the yard (away from the house) for my son to play in and use it as a 'reading room' for a few summers. Fun memories. :)

Metal dishes is exactly what I did while my kids were growing up and we were rebuilding this house. Saved a lot of money not having to replace broken dishes! ;) The grandkids play with them now. Those things will outlast us all.

I think I've put on a few pounds just reading about all the cobbler. :sneaky:
