BRRR! Where did fall go, I ask you?

Went out to the barn today to spruce up the big guy's mane and tail for tomorrow in case the Chevy folks want him in their shoot, and ended up saddling him up for a short ride. I only had thin gloves on (lucky I put some cuddle duds on under my dress leggings), and had to get in the truck 3x while I was getting Zig ready to ride, just to thaw out my fingers. My hands seemed to adjust a bit after a while, and we had a pleasant ride, but boy was I glad of the big warm barn jacket I'd left in my truck. Zig is back on his feet, and was showing off to me the whole time, eager to hit the trails, then sad when I turned back before we got to them. He got in a good graze of long grass on the way back though. We brought the ranch's trash can in together, which was quite terrifying until I halted and set a treat on the top of the can. Lather, rinse, repeat, every 10 feet or so until we were almost out of treats and reached their house. He has been leery of trash day for over a year, perhaps we have found a remedy for that. Or, perhaps, I have created a monster, who will want to search the top of every can we ride past, for treats.

My lovely Fushia Flame arrived today, *after* my manicure...she didn't have any white glitter! But we'll fix that next time, as well as doing a more "detailed" flame motif. My fault, truly; I forgot the fine tip brushes and opal/white glitter for snow.

This tip is TRULY awesome on the pink istick!!!! (which is a total stealth vape with my big hands)
It's so gorgeous! We'll need another photo when you get flames on your nails.
So glad Ziglar is feeling better!
Yeah..that's enough to make me wanna be a girl right there! :D
:laugh::laugh::laugh:
you see Ms Merry's signature pinky lift???? anyone else see that? wow just have to show off the new tip don't you. lol

hoe everyone is doing good..,..... I promise to quit working at some point
Have missed you around here Hempt!
Take care of yourself while you're working so much.
Good evening...well it's cold here and going to get colder but the weekend will be spend sewing for Christmas....due to possible weather issues just going to stay in town and two of hubby's sisters and I will work at my house. Between the three of us we have 5 nightgowns and 4 boys pj bottoms to make. I will actually do more sewing as will make each of the grandkids another pair of pjs for our family Christmas. Hubby's mom always made pjs for the grandkids so we are trying to carry on the tradition, it's fun and the kids love it. Sew...I'll be busy:D
What is really fun is we get the same fabric for the little ones (ages 2-8 or so) and the cousins love matching each other....it's really quite special. I know how much our kids enjoyed getting the pjs from Grandma and the little girls always wanted their pictures taken with their matching pjs. I'm pretty sure the boys also liked them, they just preferred to run around instead of taking pictures:laugh:
What a fun weekend! Lots of work, but done with lots of love. :)
My grandkids love getting their matching Christmas pj's every year and of course that requires an annual photo shoot for my photographer daughter. ;)
Anyone notice Ms Kayte gone missing tonight? *worried look* did I miss something???
You missed Doug's birthday.
His back is still recovering and I've got a cold... otherwise, we're fine.
Ummm date night? Or is that Thursday? Huum my memory is as bad as my HaHa..lol ;)
Date night is on Wednesdays. Pfft. Good thing it's not your date. I have a feeling you'd be in a lot of trouble for not showing up on the right day.
Cool - I have that same tank, only not painted - just a plain acrylic tank. Saw it at a vape show a couple years ago, and of course had to have the most unusual tank I've ever seen. I have it on an eGo wrapped in a faux leather wrap, with a limited edition CherryVapes drip tip that was only available at that show. Sorry Kayte, your tips are far too classy for that cheap setup :p

You need to paint the snowman on yours John! It needs a straight ebony tip that has a 'rim' around the bottom to make the hat. ;)
I wondered the same ;) You could be having a mod mutiny on your hands Sirius. LOL

MH and John-the snowmen attys are beyond cute!

Anyhoo...Good morning all! Not sure why I am awake so early. LOL Got lots going on today. My oldest daughter whom is expecting is in from Charlotte and spent the night here last night. Hubbs is out of town and so is hers so we had a girls night, sortof. We have some running around to do today and then heading to Charlotte for another baby shower :) if I don't get back for awhile, y'all have a great day!

Lovely way to spend the weekend! Hope the baby shower was lots of fun!
Good morning Mountaineers!
Congrats momma on the upcoming grandchild. May all go smooth and easy for your daughter. A girl's night together sounds like fun!
And YES, I noticed Kayte was MIA yesterday. I was worried. Hope all is ok.
I agree the snowmen attys are adorable.
It is chilly here. We have a new system this year and it evidently cannot keep up with how much infiltration{drafts} this old house has. The heat was coming on every few minutes this morning, so I had to turn it down to a lower setting. Brrr... time to break out the thermals. Yes, I have become a Florida sissy when it comes to cooler weather. It just happens when you live here. My husband was raised here, and he doesn't have one ounce of fat on his body, so to him it is freezing. Especially after he eats. I tell him I have several lbs of fat I could spare, but he won't take me up on it...
I hope everyone has a wonderful day. And those of you in truly cold country stay warm.:)
p.s.Sirius I will take a look at all my extra batteries today and count how many I have to spare. No sense in having a bunch of batteries sitting around I won't use. That makes me nervous.
It's been cooold here too. I hear we're expecting snow, starting during the night tonight and through tomorrow. I think it said 3 to 6 inches. I'm trying to be excited about that.
Definitely happened to me. Grew up in Northern Indiana and Michigan and then I married my Marine and moved from coast to coast, getting used to warmth and NOT snow. Now I'm back in a city where it might actually snow (even the THREAT of snow stresses me out now), and has definitely been below freezing with windchill for a few days now, and I am NOT a happy camper ;)

I forget what people do ALL WINTER LONG to keep themselves entertained.....
Sledding, building snow critters, books, movies, hot chocolate and popcorn, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Those are the fun things. The not so fun things: shoveling snow off the driveway, hauling firewood and keeping the stoves going.
Bet she was snuggled next to her honey watching a good movie:pop:...or something like that.:)

Morning! Time for this ole gal to get ready for work. Have a good one!:)
That sounds like a good plan for tomorrow! :D Hope you had a good day at work.
Got the Silky Oak Burl, Pg. 1442, in today! It's one of those straight up little nubbins ones that I finally figured out is all tip end. Okay, okay, so I'm a tad slow. The Silky Oak Burls are so interesting with its natural white "lacing" and wonderful dark brown cracks and honey coloring. Of course, Doug's woods can go on most anything you can throw at it; but this one looks down right super on the corn cob granny pipe oldest sent to me for birthday.

Like the Calabash snowman, the pipe is not a serious all day vaping product; but will be cute to share at the next meet, and the Silky Oak goes with the coloring of the actual corn cob. Dau. is not a vaper and has no idea about the gear involved so left it up to maker who never made a corn cob one (his are steam punk looking). Was so surprised and tickled that she wanted Choochoogranny to have a corn cob pipe and now got the perfect tip for it.
The corn cob part is fitted with a piece of 1/2 copper pipe to mimic stem. Maker put some padding inside stem to slide in a small ego type automatic battery that lights up blue at the "hot" end then I attach a mini ProTank or Davide. That "stem" with tip winds up being 7" long!....without including the thickness of the corn cob. However, I can slip the battery and tip out easily if I want to "hide" what I'm doing. :p On top of the cob part the maker attached a decorative antiqued brass button. Now I need to find a "poke bonnet" and flour sack blouse to complete my "outfit". :p.......No, I don't!!!!
That is fabulous! What a great gift!
Good to hear Zig is back to his old self.

I think he had a better day with you, than he would have at any silly photo shoot.
emmsma... I saw your post about the chipped tip. Send it back and Doug will do his best to repair it. (No charge.) :)

Such a beautiful pet, Merry. Will you take him down to TX with you for the "ranch" visit? I think I'd miss him.....and he you. :(

The trip home is gonna be REAL quick, cause he stays at home when we travel...and I'm gonna be VERY MUCH missing him =) Perhaps at a later time he'll travel with us, but that is a truck and trailer with sleeper for us inside it away from what we have now.

Don't feel bad, Sirius. I should've remembered to since Doug's birthday is the same one as granddau's. THIS time I'm marking my calendar.

DOU-U-U-U-UG! Happy belated 56th birthday to you-u-u-u-u, you precious, talented craftsman, artisian, lathe person, and favored husband to Kayte and all around good guy, you! :bday:
