What's hard to believe is that tickets for prom are $50 each, per person not per couple. Add the cost of Tux and flowers and I should be able to get a lot of housework done.

My fav Lucy bit has to be a tie between the wine making and the Vitameataveggie commercial, or maybe the chocolate factory one...too many good ones to count :).

pretty good! got home awhile ago from watching our oldest daughter(pregnant with twins) participate in a pregnancy fashion show at Ashville mall. Interesting, also stealth vaping in the crowd and Indian resteraunt,no comments!

Gooberhead, you live in Asheville?? My friends and I rode there for vacation a couple years ago, I absolutely loved it!

I just got the bill for advanced placement tests today.
He has 5 to take...one is free...$267 for the other four...Yikes!!!

This is really gonna put a damper on my mod buying!!!

Can only hope kids will help us out in our old age, maybe change our Depends, that'll go along way as repayment! unless I "fall" off a mountainside! lol

Geez, when did these things get so expensive. My son is 19 and finished with high school, but his GF is a senior and wants the whole prom experience. He's not at all the prom type, but loves her enough to go and not complain. I guess he's learned from his dad that there are somethings you just have to do to make a woman happy and you get to reap the benefits in other ways. He's even learned to cook a little since I told him it impresses women if you can fix them a decent meal now and then. I figure the more training he gets at home the less training he'll need when he gets married. I hope whoever he marries appreciates all the work I did :). Now if I could just get him to stop smoking and start vaping, he says they require too much fiddling. I have a feeling he'll be asking for a bottom feeder mod for his birthday after he sees how much less trouble it is.

Hey Bam,about 30 miles west of Asheville up a mountain, close enough to go too the big city- yep going from Mt Piliot to Raliegh, lol I was going to get a bike when I moved here, but alas-not yet. Spending all our money on helping our pregenant daughter and family, and buying COOL VV Monkeyboxx'es. Theres great riding and beautiful scenery here

My kids have already started the repayment program! Yesterday my youngest (23, still at home) made me breakfast in the afternoon, then said he was going grocery shopping. Five minutes later he comes back in saying my brakes are really bad, he will fix them before he goes to the store. He replaced all the brake pads and the rotors, then went and bought groceries.

One of my co-workers wanted to know how much of a bribe it would take to let him come live at her house!

I know how that goes! My oldest son and DIL have a little boy that just turned one in Sept, and she had twin girls in Dec!! I think being a grandma is totally worth it though, love those grandbabies to pieces! :p

I've got 2 10 week old Shih Tzu puppies that will have to soothe my baby holding instincts for a while. I'm hoping my 19 year old will wait at least 5 years or so before starting a family and my daughter is only 7. I am looking forward to being a grandma, all the fun and you can give them back and get rest. Just not anytime too soon :).

Gotta love the days grandparents take the kids. I bribed mine with $20 each to spend the night with my parents (they get bored there with no internet and no video games) on the first night off Hubby had after Valentine's Day and we stayed in and just enjoyed the quiet house....except for the noise we made :).

Goober, that's one part of NC I haven't explored. I've always wanted to go to the Biltmore Estate. Maybe I'll get there eventually. Plan to hit Greensboro to go to the waterpark this summer since it's only 1 1/2 hours away.

I'm happy here after getting the hell out of the Chicagoland area,IMHO the mountains are beautiful getting taller west of asheville heading into The Great Smokey Mts. National Park,I used to have 1 tree on my property, now have hundreds, and can look over hills veiwing millions, the largest decedious stand of trees in the world, great down to earth people,we've worked hard, and waited long to get here,we've been blessed!
