She is busy working all the time. She comes to work with me for two hours and then comes home and works her 8 hour shift. :(

That sounds nom. My pay checks come once a month and leave as quick as they come but I need some caramel any way so I might buy some juice when my next check shows up. What does it taste like?

And yeh, that sounds about right for kids these days.

The July contest is now open here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hly-contest-picture-thread-3.html#post9988490

There were 20 entries from a total of nine people for the June contest (and yes, I did count Lauralie's NAE post since it met the criteria of the original vape Face thread--I could see at least one eye ;)). Since I am alone in the house at the moment, I may have to personally operate the Random Choice Determinator Device this month, though I'll try to get one of the animals to do it if possible. I will not have time to get it all taken care of tonight (new fiscal year for the state so work is bat guano crazy at the moment) but I should be able to have everything taken care of sometime tomorrow evening.

It may be fairly late, though.

Can I post a picture of my bunny's bad hair day?!

:( I've been there before. Hopefully she'll be able to get herself a little more free time soon...

You should know better than to ask a question like that--I came up with it, so obviously it taste different to everyone  Though I suppose "nostalgia" could work, since a lot of people seem to taste some kind of lost flavour from their childhood.

And yeh, that sounds about right for kids these days.

Excellent! That means I'm still cool :D

Yes, I know I was never actually cool...

A Butterfly hanging out in the parking lot...........Street Art?................Waiting for a cab...........................Guerrilla Nature............................A thirsty Merman.

I can't seem to figure out what any of these have to do with "Bad Hair Day." I could almost see them as being an ironic (in the post-modern sense) comment on the relevancy of the bunny picture, except that the caption to that one at least ties it back into the theme. If I am missing something (which is entirely possible as I am not always the sharpest tack on the wall) please explain--otherwise perhaps you could edit the captions to make the photos relevant to the contest?

Edit: 27 days later and no explanation, changes or response of any kind. I went ahead and moved the pictures to clean the thread down to eligible entries.

Okay. Nobody's here but me and the animals weren't cooperating, so I actually rolled the die myself this time (sorry, but it was either that or wait another week). So, since there were exactly 20 entries this month the methodology I decided on was to print out each of the entries and shuffle and number them while they were upside down. Then I rolled an icosahedron with a number on each face (a d20 to gaming geeks) and found the correspondingly numbered printout. In order for the generated number to be easily readable by the viewer, I used a very large icosahedron this time, in contrast to the miniature decahedrons (technically pentagonal bipyramids) Rhianna used last month.

Which gives us a low resolution, low contrast black and white version of this picture.

Congratulations boardopboy!

I'm PMing Mom and Pop now, so you should have a PM from one of them soon :)

Starting with the current (July) contest, there will be a change in the way that the contest prizes are distributed.

Up until now, in order to award the prize a single-use coupon code had to be generated and that code was sent via PM to the winner. This meant a new code had to be generated every month, and if the winner did not use the full amount whatever was "left over" was lost. Starting this month, the winner will need to have an account at Mom and Pop Vapor Shop so that the prize can be given as store credit. This means that if the winner only uses $12 (for example) of the prize, instead of "losing" the other $8 it will still be available to be applied to their next order. Instead of a "use it or lose it" coupon, it will be available until it's gone.

I realize some people will be loathe to create an account, whether for privacy reasons or general principles or simply personal preference, and to them I apologize. But the single-use coupon method was starting to get unwieldy for the accounting software and there have evidently been some prize winners in the situation where they couldn't afford to spend any money and so rather than risk going over the $20 prize coupon they ended up getting less--and losing part of the prize. This new process will fix both of those problems.

How it boils down:
  • You do not have to have an account to enter the contest; if you don't have an account and you win, you will need to create one to claim the prize.
  • This will not affect the amount of email you receive since they don't do the random contact or newsletter thing, they only use the email address to update you on your order progress.
  • If, for whatever reason, you do not want to have an account with Mom and Pop Vapor Shop, you are free to delete the account after depleting your store credit.

I will be amending the General Rules to reflect this change in policy, but I wanted to put it out here for discussion first, in case there were any concerns that needed to be addressed that I didn't catch at first.

Pop has decided that he wants to give away one of their new Epipe kits this month in addition to the usual $20 store credit. Now the Epipe thing is getting quite popular, and more and more people are becoming interested, but it's still not everyone's "cup of tea." There's something especially frustrating about winning a prize in which you have no interest, so to avoid that I have come up with a contest-within-a-contest: To be eligible for the Epipe you need to post a picture of yourself, or someone you know (all normal criteria for photos still apply), trying to vape the Epipe you don't have.

Points to keep in mind:
  • You only need to post one "no-pipe" picture; there will not be multiple entries per person for the Epipe.
  • The Epipe entry photo counts towards the five-photo limit--it will also be eligible for the $20 store credit.
  • If you already have an Epipe you are still welcome to enter the contest, but to be eligible for the prize you cannot be using a pipe in your photo (otherwise it would not be "the pipe you don't have.")
