Two days left in the contest month.
Only eleven entries so far, and NONE in the ePipe sub/side contest.

Today is the last day of July. With a total of 12 entries so far, there are only seven people in the running--that's pretty good odds. And with only one person having entered the ePipe contest, there's really not much chance of a surprise as far as who'll win.
Jeeze, even if you don't want to screw up the odds for the people already in the contest, at least make Extraunordinary wonder if he's gonna win a pipe or not...

Just wanted to chime in to say I don't mind competition at all. Myself, I only noticed the secondary contest yesterday. I would like to add some pictures showing my desperation in wanting an E-Pipe though:
That there is an actual (used) tobacco pipe bowl drilled out to fit an Echo battery... notice the electrical tape to get a snug fit... it sucks bad, and I never really got any enjoyment from it, but it was worth a shot!

Well, as the only entrant in the pipe contest I don't think you have to worry too much about competition--my biggest problem will be trying to figure out a way to randomly choose one entry out of a pool of one entry in a fair and equitable manner. I realize that "determining the winner" in this instance is purely a technicality, but it's got to be done...

Hey pwyll, for November can you do a no shave November pic contest? Not sure how the ladies could do this, quite frankly I don't want that mental pic in my head buttt..... Could be fun!!! Winner gets a free can of Barbersol and pack of bic razors lol

Hmmm... I can think of a couple ways to have a contest based on this general idea and in such a way that the ladies could participate without putting a distasteful mental image in your head ....
I generally ignore Movember since they require you to begin the month clean-shaven and my daughter freaks out if I even mention shaving so I would have probably never thought of it--thanks for the suggestion

Yes, there were problems at home (surprise [to us] birthday party at the pool meant we had to go buy a present and new bathing suit for Rhianna, and then she wasn't available to make the video until around 8:30) problems with the camera (I though the built-in camera app would make a smaller, and thus easier/quicker to upload/deal with, file--instead it shot at Full HD but only 8 frames a second and the audio was out of sync 
but it was fast in Media Player Classic, slow in QuickTime, and slow for the first 20 seconds then magically correct after that in iTunes ) and problems with YouTube (initial processing took a half hour instead of the usual three minutes).
But YouTube is currently doing the final processing and I am crafting the notification post now. The first 20 seconds of sound is compressed into ten seconds at the beginning, but the bulk of the video is fine...
