Not sure yet what we're doing this month, but since it will be Tuesday before I can print out the pictures there's still time to decide. Ima gonna ask her if she has any ideas, but I'm also open to suggestions if anyone here wants to propose something...

Well the rules specifically stated "Hair is not necessary for this contest..." so I'm sure showing us a hat as your "coping mechanism" would have been fine. I know it doesn't help now, but as I am generally a fairly unoriginal cad I'm sure the theme will be recycled--so keep it in mind and you won't have to skip the contest the next time
As for missing last month's contest, were you having a lot of fun? I hear that time flies are attracted to fun-having...

Eehhh, well...
The idea was to share a last bout of "summer-time fun" snaps and I dunno how snowy it actually is in the desert at the end of the summer. But to be fair, while I did talk a bit about summer-type activities I did end up only requiring "outdoor activities" (and even specifically mentioned that I wouldn't require them to actually take place outdoors--so, you know, that's a lot of lee-way right there). Considering that we have people in Canada, Alaska, and other northern climes, that are going to be conducting their summer activities in the snow, and that people south of the equator are actually approaching the end of their winter, I didn't expect all the entries to be sunny skies and greenery. And since I also hoped to see some family activities but know a few people who don't vape around their kids (just as they didn't smoke around them), I specifically didn't require vaping. So while I suspect they may not meet the spirit of this contest, they do meet the criteria.

Labor Day is the summer season's last hurrah--when most people here in the U.S. (statistically speaking) start planning their last picnics, last days on the lake (or river, or at the beach), last hiking and/or camping trips, before we either move indoors or start bundling up to go out. Let's see some last "vaping outside" shots before fall arrives. Picnicking, camping, hiking, biking, sitting on a park bench, sitting at a bus stop, walking down the street, enjoying an outdoor cafe--doesn't matter, being outside is the point. And, being someone who cannot handle heat or strong, direct sunlight, I have no problem with a picnic in the living room or Frisbee in the hall (so I guess "outdoor activity" is actually the point)
This month's prize is $20 in store credit, good on anything in the shop.

Naw, people don't even read threads anymore. It's amazing how many people will post the same "Song that never ends" joke in the Last Person to Post thread in the same week, let alone have their first post be "Did I win" and it will be right after a post explaining there's already been a winner and the prizes were mailed out months ago.
Also, nobody ever pays attention to the very first post in the Picture thread, either...
