I had a stock coil on it and wasn't messing with the pin at all. I use the protank 3 with the aerotank base and sometimes the coil head gets unscrewed from that with with use. That's the only thing I can think of. Whenever that's happened before though I just take it off, take off the bottom and screw the coil back in and it's fine. It's really a mystery still.

Yeah that is strange. I dont have any experience with the Protank 3 (mines a 2) so cant help you there. Looks as if you have backups though so at least youre covered there.

If my MVP goes out im screwed :D I have 4 tanks and only 1 mod :p

The full size Silo is pictured with a Nautilus style coil. The picture of the Silo lite has an old style Aspire coil with no threading at top (sitting upside down). It's a little hard to tell through the packaging but the replacement coils for the Silo appear to be different from the Silo lite on this page too:

Search Results : Beyond Vape, premium vaporizers and e-cigarettes

What am I saying? Look at the pictures on the boxes of the replacement coils and you can see the difference! There are other clues also. The wording for the lite doesn't use the words "Nautilus" or "BVC" when talking about the coils. Also the secondary picture for the lite shows top cap threading which wouldn't be needing if it used Nautilus style coils. IMO Beyond Vape screwed the pooch with the Silo lite.

Weird... They are suppose to both be the same coil. Maybe not. I like the large Silo anyways :)

edit: I sent an email asking for clarification. I am pretty sure GrimmGreen did the Lite and said the BVCs fit and work.. Or was that the real Mini? LOL.. too tired :)

I was beginning to wonder if you were gonna catch my drift. I thought "Man he must be tired" LOL! Edited my previous post with more info. Adding more here. You can clearly see in the lite secondary pic the old style non threaded coil. And what about the HUGE price difference between the lite and full size. For that matter the price dif for the replacement coils between the two. Well I think I've beaten this horse to death...

Ya.. I'm beat.. Trying to get a bunch of court papers filled out for filing.. Then need to get the missus to her docs @ 8am, so no sense going to bed.. :(

Looking at the Beyond Vape site, I finally figured you are correct and the 2 coils are different.. Which is stupid, IMO. Although, I still like the large Silo :) Better looking and protected than the Nautilus.

Are you saying its been recalled?

!

No, but I am trying to make the most prudent decision as I don't like the fact that it only takes 1 battery. I go thru that VCT5 in about 4 hours at 40 watts and it is a pain to change the battery IMHO.

I can swap with same price authentic mech that I love. Gets me the one mech I do want and I will wait till they figure which regulated box wins in a couple months.

IPV is a good device but needs 2 batts for high wattage to go for a day, like our MVP.

I figure I will wind up with another MVP soon ( back up ), a good mech and one more high power regulated box mod and I will be happy. Then 100 or so attys and drip tips for variety ;)

Ooooohhhh... ahhhhhhhh Hmmm, that shore is purdy :) I guess I ought to consider something with replaceable batteries, just in case nimrods start to make uneducated decisions on an educated population's behalf (I'm not including the whole population - I know there's a lot of 'em out there who can never be edumacated about anything)

........:offtopic:.....@ keir, if you run across a Sir Lancealot Copper Mod jump on it; i have the clone and it's awesome with a smooth buttery switch adjustable 510 and Telepin w/good solid build and hits like a freight train with a Tugboat cln...very happy camper w/this purchase.
(pic in profile albs)

ps, i been under the weather the last couple of days

Thanks bro, sorry to hear your not feeling well.

I just ordered the Copper Tug clone from 101vapes yesterday, great deal at $11.99. The Flagship has a different fire switch, no locking just uses ball bearings within its button to increase conductivity and make for a nice feel. Can stand it up without firing with it's heavy duty spring as well. Used it at the B&M and fell in love
That Copper just fires up so quick dude...I was amazed.

Heal soon buddy and have a great day!

Thanks to all for the advice!!! First cycling routine was no dice. But I left it alone for a few hours and tried it again and it worked! I have lights/display/action again!
Thank you guys SO much for helping revive my MVP!

Fantastic! I'm not sure what or why but as I said, the cycling routine has brought back more than one MVP. I almost trashed my MVP V1 because it was doing exactly what yours was. I have had it happen a couple of times since and have read reports of it here several times. It almost always seems to happen after it either detects a short or is being used as a USB power out. I think sometimes when it is being used as a power bank it may draw to much current and actually read it as a short.

something was touching and shorted out on yours.............. that's why i asked about the pin......seeing the triple 000 is definitely not good and that's fer sure.

000 is code for a short.

not too bad a price...

- MVP Cup Holder

Flipping Awesome!

If the FDA gets their way it will be my Russian, a mech, and making my own juice. I will not be stopped by their crap.

already there :smokie:

;)

Subscribed to this thread and saying hello! I've been reading the old thread, but after still not even being remotely half way through it I figured I'd best say hello! New owner to an MVP 2 Shine for about a week and my very first box mod type. I can't believe I stayed away from these for so long. I thought they would be inelegant; I was wrong!

This, an Aspire Nautilus, 7W dialed in, and SB Mother's Milk... I'm in heaven!
