MVP 20W Sneak Peek video just posted by Todd...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-pKHE4NkYU

Interesting... he put a 1 ohm coil on it and tried to fire it at 7V... which is more than double it's rated wattage... he said it dropped to 4.5V under that load... oddly... 4.5^2/1 = 20.25W. So, it sounds like it may have just dropped down to ~20W. I'll be interested to see more results at various settings and loads.

so Im giving my MVP2 a couple of weeks holidays over the festive season, Ill be primarily using the new SVD2.0 and I wondering if I dont use the mvp2 for a few weeks should it be left in a drawer fully charged or nearly empty.
Or should I keep using it once a week to get the most out of the battery - if i want this to last another 12 months!
I bought it last December and it truly is a legend.

how the manufacturers do it is ALMOST a complete charge
75%-90% is how they leave the factory because they don’t know
how long they will sit on a shelf and in that state Li-Ion is most stable
Manufacturer factories don’t charge the batteries as a favor, they do it
to ensure the best for their product, that’s why they are almost complete
charge when you open the package…

I completely and whole-heartedly disagree. I buy custom manufactured Li+ batteries and have dealt with a couple dozen actual manufacturers. When I deal with the manufacturers, they tell me to keep the battery around 60% [for long term storage]. i can't show you that proof as it's all covered by NDA... but I can present you with this.

Battery University

It's my opinion [because I can't share information from companies I have dealt with who sell product with batteries] that they send you charged batteries as nothing more than a convenience and it simplifies the quality control process.

In what state is ANY battery that you buy

Almost Full charge

there is a reason

peeps can draw their own conclusion

Drawing a conclusion is not the same as asking the manufacturer... but hey, a single short term like that shouldn't cause any 'real' damage, and it's your property... do what you want.

I ordered the new MVP 20W from My Vapor Store. USPS tracking says I'll have it Wednesday.

bet you just can't wait (haha, me too)

so you have a current working MVP 2

that way you can side x side compare

looks like other than the guts, it's gonna be oh-so close to previous

and that's a good thing in my world outlook...

here's to good findings :toast:

I am pretty excited. I love my MVP2. I agree, I'm glad they didn't go and change anything except for the guts. It will be nice to have a little more power. I actually like where the button is placed, I like the size, it's nice to have something substantial in your hands and it's built like a tank. I'm glad they kept the 2600 mAh battery too.

totally agree
would it be cooler if the fire button was on a edge
so you could pull it like a trigger - - maybe / maybe not

other that the slightly harder effort to push the button
ever hear of anyone having ANY troubles with one (me neither)

same menu / same button / same box-size / same end caps / same battery

addressed problem issues
•lack of power (I'm not concerned much)
•the lack luster FIT with the connector

and seems with these additions, improvements

they are actually cheaper than original
(which sold for $69 + in the beginning)

wish I knew the number sold ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

when something/anything comes out that even comes close to
price, sales and satisfaction - I'll have a look

MVP - the unrivaled leader

  • where will the fire button be
  • will the 510/ego be centered
  • will it have a clock
  • an MP3 player
  • a camera
  • 4000 mah battery
  • turn into a car
  • a flashlight

WOW, I’m blowing my mind…
