MVP Owners Group-into the next generation…

Same as me I have the MVP2 and last week I got the MVP20w a little over a week ago. Like I need the MVP 3 really? But I sure wouldn't mind winning one! Or hoping someone on the board to win one! Yet it wouldn't surprise me since I'm not a lucky person when winning that sometime in the future I don't end up buying one and give my MVP2 to my son.

The main reason I even went for the MVP 20W was the need to kick things up a little for the nautilus tanks when going to run one at 15w which is where the VTR was set! You can see where that would end always being maxed out. The VTR is still in virtually brand new condition since that replaced the After Dinner vaping device while away from computer desk where another mod stand awaits me.

The first stand originally saw the MVP there anyways while the VTR now bumped out of the second stand by another 30w mod just got it again from the 20w MVP! So far I picked up irght where I left off with the VTR at 15w and not a problem! And as for needing more watts I'm afraid that was already seen to before this one was even out. With a 30w, two 50w with a 3rd on the way, Plus a new 150w mod coming I think that dept. is covered! The 20W filled a gap the 2.0 couldn't fill without abandoning the MVP line entirely.

I just noticed that on the MVP20 they fixed the silly little glitzch where you could only check the battery voltage once while it was on charge and then it would not show again. On the 20 you can check the voltage as many times as your ADD addled little mind wants to while on charge.

This unit is charging to 4.2

It is a LOT further around to bump the voltage down .1. I don't know if you are going to be able to handle that Puff :)

well, that settles it then,

I'll just bypass the 20W and head straight for the V3 :D

but seriously, I am due for a new SOMETHING

so PRICE will dictate if that something is
a V3 or a 20W

:)

The button is easier to push BUT, it is still harder or more awkward than I would like it to be. It is no where near the smoothness of the VV3. If I buy a MVP3 any time soon, it will be for the side button.

Thanks. I guess I'll wait for more info about the three as well. Though I really don't need another Innokin right now. I just got my V4 today, and took a new family portrait - though one of the VV v3s is dying. I sure would like to get the MVP's battery life with a button I could use.

Presuming you were serious... here are the pics... which is the start. Clicking on these should open them larger...

OMG You ripped his little heart out!!!:D

No worries... while I did find the programming pins conveniently routed to test points... I have NOT YET started digging around in the brains yet... just the heart ;) Well... and some other organs.

I actually like that the mainboard fits within a hana style case very nicely... display and all.

Updated: I have updated some info in that post and have started a blog post with a bit more info...

Well, ya know, I'm glad you kids are having a great time discussing the ins and outs and guts and brains of all the new stuff coming out. I'm still a newbie here, so at the moment, I am quite content with my 2 MVPs. I would like to take the plunge into coil building, but I guess I'm just not quite ready yet. Not only that, but I've been working a lot of overtime, so I'm never quite sure when I'm going to be home lately.

For anyone who thinks they can't do coil building because of health or inability in other ways the kuro koiler might be just what you need brilliant little gadget check rip trippers youtube channel for a review ( can't post a link right now or I would have )

Yeah, looks nice. I am not too sure about it helping with bad hands compared to the other various tools out there... I would be thinking something like the Artistic Wire® Professional Deluxe Coiling Gizmo® would do better for bad hands. Yet again, we all seem to go in different directions ;) (or one of the other Gizmo devices in this line)

Think its kind of a cheap option so at least it can be tried kind of thing plus it makes really neat looking coils like nearly perfect lol

That's all great and dandy provided you don't end up with a sub ohm coil! Tossed the Atlantis on just to see if there was any chance and got "0" for atomizer at 0.5ohm as expected due to the 1ohm requirement.

As far as a crank I could easily turn the wire brad or what I would wrap the 32gauge wire around to take up the slack coming off the reel of wire and then simply snip if off leaving some excess until fitted into the RDA. The problem is that feeding thin wire through that will bunch up if you don't clear the second hold on the opposite side of the post. Manual Dexterity is a big help in that.

For the Big Dripper I found at Amazon that had two premade coils 24 or 18 ga. as the wire was a bit heavier and after getting those done "Nothing"! I had both running ground to center post from each side and NADA. The coils were 0.5ohm on the money but forget the RDA! The next time something with an adjustable center pin will be needed to see if that is where the problem is. Meanwhile Atlantis Tank #5 has taken off from the shipping runway and due in ...thursday. Initially it showed next tuesday which was way off while the MVP 20W should have been in friday and was lost in Limbo until the tracking was updated late sunday!
