Yes the 20W is rms. The 20w is almost identical to the MVP2 other than the 510 connector and the 20w chip.

I would go for the 20 at this time. The 3 wont be out for a while and they are bragging that it will be under $100 so I think it will be pricey.

Posted on facebook. I left out the contest text
The iTaste MVP3.0 packs 30 Watts of power and 3800mAh into the legendary innokin iTaste MVP. The iTaste MVP3.0 has a flush 510 connection with a gold plated spring loaded positive pin, durable stainless steel threading, an included ego adapter and a replaceable integrated micro-USB charging cable.

The iTaste MVP3.0 has a variable voltage range of 3.0 – 9.0 volts which is adjustable in .1 volt increments and a variable wattage range of 6.0 – 30.0 Watts, adjustable in .5 watts increments.

The iTaste MVP3 uses vRMS DC current and is very accurate with a power deviation of 0.1Watt and the full 30Watts is precisely maintained between resistances of 0.4 to 2.5 ohms.

Initially available in 4 stylish designs, the MVP3.0 will be available at Authorized innokin Vendors in February and will be available for under 100$.

Under a hundred for a 30W device? Really?

Well, I suppose if the they think people will pay $50 for a 1000mah stick they could figure that people would jump on these for around a hundred. They would be wrong however.

Hopefully they are just waiting until the last minute/month to tell us it has temp control... <fingers-crossed>

yepper, the statemet "for under $100"
tells me it is (for the time) priced beyond what I will pay...

then maybe by the time the price drops there will be
so many other choices it will become a moot point / device...

I don't care aboout 'big watts', but I read enuff to know
that big price for the small (watts) compared to the competition
will be a deal breaker FOR MANY...

unless there is something sneaky special about the MVP 3
they haven't told us yet, to most it's just gonna be
another 'box' that only goes to 30 watts, and over priced...

Well, the SVD2 was supposed to be $99 when it came out. Went anywhere from $99 to $109. But after about a month they can be picked up for under $60. And I expect them to fall even further.

no doubt ! and how many of those style (tube 20w-30w) devices are on the market

competition is a ferocious thing

but will slow price drop and greedy vendors be a deathwish... ?

I've been vaping for at least 7 months but I hardly know anything. I just got an MVP 2.0 Shine (Pink Skull) I'll admit that I bought it simply because of the color and skull with a little bling...lol! I was just looking for a stronger battery than the SMOK 1300mAh I've been using. All I've known are the VV batteries. I don't know what the difference is between using volts or watts...would someone be willing to explain it to me in a way that even a dummy can understand?

hello MsGoddess2U, welcome to the club...

there is hardly any difference between VOLTS or WATTS
both just adjust power to your coil

it is like jelly or jam

basically your choice, pick one and get used to using it (watts 7-8) :)

enjoy your MVP

:D

A $100.00 MVP 3.0 will be out of my price range.
One of the great things I like about the MVP line up is great pricing while still affordable! I have not paid more that $50.00 for a mod, and do not plan on doing so soon.

I just ordered a 150w box mod for under $62! Another 50w for $50 even with a 10% discount. If you see the 3.0 priced at $65 or more you know the vendor is pulling the wool down over the eyes! Back in October 2013 when the 2.0 first appeared that was running $50-$65 for the full kit. I just grabbed the 20W for only $27 lately from one source showing there will be bargains to be had once the 3.0 is out.

They likely mean MSRP will be under $100. You can find the 2.0 and 20W for around half of MSRP. Might be able to get the 3.0 for $50-$60.

I would suspect after finding the 20w for under $30 just coming out hat you will find the 3.0 for under $50 as well. At the present time the market is being saturated with compact mods ranging from 10w-50w! Just name the wattage and you can almost guaranty someone will have it or something close to it.

In my opinion from experience, I use the volts and watt settings to dial in the flavor I get from the juice.
